Eyebrows... It's brings to life the expressions on your face for all those moments we share in life. They tell stories close to our hearts and frame our beautiful eyes the windows to our souls. But through life we abuse them with over tweezing,waxing or just not being able to give them the respect they deserve and the care they need. My teenage years were spent in the 90's, where folks like the gorgeous Megan Fox,Jessica Alba and Jlo all followed the super thin lines of eyebrow trends. So it was only natural for me to follow suit and over tweeze and pluck as most beautiful celebrities become inspiration for beauty and fashion trends. Fast forward 20 years later and BOOM,BIG eyebrows are back and now any type of hair removal in this area is very limited. Folks like Cara Delevingne,Jennifer Aniston and Gwen Stefani have all grown back their arches to their more natural shape. So it made me think twice as to whether I could also grow back my eyebrows after 20 years of physical abuse. With eyebrow tattooing becoming ever popular and promenade eyebrow gels ,stencils and fill in pencil crayons it's much easier now to correct thinning,baldly brows instantly. Some of us will go to the effort to do this daily a ritual we must stick to. But I decided after years of colouring in my brows that it was time to just like Elsa...let it go or should I say...Let it grow. I must say I wake up daily and check the mirror for new growth and it's really testing my patience. My optimism is keeping me on track and after 8 weeks of not touching my face except for the stray hair below the brow bone I'm in awe of how much growth I have. I'm on a brow mission to prove that even at the age of 37 that you can still grow back your brows with the help of a healthy diet and patience. So ladies if you are a victim of having no eyebrows and are interested in seeing how long it takes to grow back a healthy brow,keep a look out for future posts. The statement bomber. Jackets are making a huge appearance on the runways this season. From oversized trucker jackets, to bulky padded snow jackets their is no limit as to what an overcoat can add to your outfit. "Bomber" jackets have been trending as we have seen them with embroidery, palettes of nude, khaki and sporty freshman type stripes. This Autumn bombers are getting bold and bright. We are seeing red,yellow,prints like camo and animal print. They are giving an article of clothing that is generally weathered and comfortable some glamour and appeal in the colder months when our skin becomes sallow. My favourite at the moment is the "sequin" bomber and it instantly freshens up my skin and winter wardrobe with some warmth when the sunny days are sparse. Autumn has finally arrived and I’ve had itchy palms. Maybe some good fortune is around the corner or maybe it’s new season product and the change in temperature that has me cleaning out the wardrobe in preparation for the latest styles.

As I pull out all my knits,cardigans,blazers and all those things warm fuzzy and cosy,I realise that I actually DO NOT need anymore winter clothing.

I thought I would never actually say this,a woman can never have too many clothes RIGHT?

I'll admit I buy clothing every week,a girls got to do what a girls gotta do and it brings joy to my life. But has my passion for fashion let me be victimised to TRENDS in the market and dulled my inner sparkle and personal style?

You bet ya!

Whilst I am an avid and hungry shopper,I love to see new seasonal colour palettes and designs. Do I really need to purchase clothing continuously to be stylish?

No way!

Over the years I've accumulated a lot of classic pieces and basics that all wardrobes need as a foundation to every functional wardrobe. Home clothes,work clothes,sports clothes,every article you own has a purpose.But sometimes I feel like I’m just buying because I love it and it’s purpose is just that.Heck I’ve bought clothes I’ve owned for 3 years and I’m still waiting for that one event to rock that outfit.

Do I have daily struggles and wake up in the morning not knowing which outfit to wear,I most certainly do and why? Because I’ve way too much to choose from.

As I was clearing out the clutter this week,boom it hit me.I’ve lost my mojo to style it my way and pick pieces in my collections that reflect my personality. I found the more I purchased the more I dressed like everyone else and not myself.

So I decided to stop buying clothes,just for a few weeks,don’t think I could go much longer,just to wake up my spirit animal.And it worked!

Fashion is recyclable and highly disposable.We constantly purchase products everyday and forget to realise that being more resourceful is not only great for your expenses but is great for the environment.

I walked with confidence running errands.At work,I felt like I made a positive contribution to my personal funding and I felt unique in garments that I hadn’t worn in a few years.I felt that rosy glow,that inner STYLE sparkle once again.

My relationship with myself,my expression was in full bloom and it was wonderful to wear that nostalgic polka dot shirt again. Fashion has history and so do our wardrobes.They tell stories of the past,our own pasts.

I encourage everyone who has a little shopping addiction like myself to take a break from retail therapy.And do some personal therapy by decluttering your own wardrobe and wearing that vintage piece you’ve been saving.

Be creative with your wardrobe and your looks.You don’t have to be wearing fashions from the latest hot celebrity.

Style is unique it’s personal and it should be celebrated individually. Don’t play victim to the latest trends. Style it your way everyday.

Our shoes take us every where in life and if your like me you have many pairs and styles for different occasions. But the ‘style’ of shoe we wear the most often can discover more about our “soles” than we know.

THE THONG (aka flip flop) …This type of shoe is for the easy going,fuss free traveller. Not the most stylish but can be worn with most out fits for that instant casual look. This shoe type personality is laid back and likes to cruise through life as a passenger.

THE BOOT

…This type can come in many varieties,ankle,rider,military,desert,knee high,just to name a few. It generally symbolises a force, a directive “boot”. It is most likely the style of shoe worn by most labourers as it is durable in most weather conditions and environments. This shoe type personality is that of the worker who is adventurous and hardworking.

THE HEEL

…This type also comes in many varieties such as,kitten,stiletto,peep toe,round toe and is most likely worn by women who want a polished look to complete their outfit. It is not a shoe worn for lengthy periods of standing as it puts strain on your ankles. This shoe type personality is self aware of her surroundings and is careful in her decision making.

THE SNEAKER

…This type of shoe is owned by almost everyone and is the most versatile. Not only is it durable,can come in many colours and prints that can make a 'statement’ to your outfit. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who didn’t own a pair and if I do I will most certainly suggest this style as the most comfortable. This shoe type personality is relaxed,a creature of comfort and familiarity. Loves routine and structure.

So as you can see the type of shoe you wear most often can relate to how you travel through every day life as there are so many different varieties and styles. Whether you have 5 pairs or 100,there has to be a stand out style that makes you feel the most comfortable in all situations. What does your shoe type say about your personality?
