Northwestern hosted its annual on-campus media day on Thursday morning. The Chicago media flocked to the Nicolet Football Center to interview coach Fitzgerald, as well as several Northwestern players.

Seeking to raise money and awareness for a cause near and dear to Northwestern Football, the NU chapter of Uplifting Athletes on Tuesday evening staged a successful third-annual 'Lift for Life' fundraiser in Evanston.
Uplifting Athletes is an organization founded in 2003 that seeks to raise money and awareness for rare diseases. Funds raised by the Northwestern chapter of Uplifting Athletes benefit the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation; the foundation aims to find a cure for a rare neurodegenerative disease called Niemann-Pick Type C, which primarily strikes children before or during adolescence.

Throwing it back to the mid-90's with former Northwestern great, Darnell Autry. In his three years in the Wildcats' backfield, Autry ran for 3,793 yards and totaled 222 total points. Autry was tabbed as a Heisman Trophy finalist and a Doak Walker Award (nation's top college running back) in 1995 and 1996, respectively. In those same seasons, he helped Northwestern bring back-to-back Big Ten Conference titles back to Evanston. #ThrowbackThursday

The eight-year affiliation between the two legendary brands features the Big Ten's commitment to play in the annual New Era Pinstripe Bowl from 2014 to 2021. The Big Ten's partnership with the New Era Pinstripe Bowl will mark the conference's first bowl game tie-in on the East Coast. Additionally, for all New York Yankees regular season games, beginning in 2014, the Big Ten will have a significant branding presence in Yankee Stadium, featuring a fixed sign along the first-base line and home plate rotating signage.
