Depends on what you count as a story. I have a couple of outlines, a few idea dumps, and a few chapter drafts/bits-and-pieces scattered between my computer and my phone.

I write them down. Any idea that’s not on paper is good as gone by morning.

I discovered my friends were writing, and that was their platform, so naturally I investigated.

Just do it! Get your words down on paper, walk away, then come back with fresh eyes and learn from what you’ve written. Then do it again. Nothing improves writing like writing.

I plot things out. I need to have an ending in mind before I start. That said, my ‘plot’ normally looks something like

I’ve been writing since I was 10 or 12. I wanted to write novels for kids/teens without unnecessary romance. Such noble aspirations lol. Now I write for stress relief and to get good enough to hopefully publish my own novel series. I do not have high hopes for it but hey, never know if you don’t try
