What do we think of this pairing? I did a poll but because Tumblr polls are anon I didn't learn basically anything.
What I Imagine
So that Dante found Rose attractive is barely subtext. Her handling of her intended future body is extremely sensual, and her tone around her is often soft, even romantic. It's as if she filled Rose's head with fairy tales. I imagine that Dante kept Rose isolated not only for her own plans, but to limit stress on her. She likely wanted to preserve the beauty she'd found in Lior.
As far as Rose herself is concerned, she frequently melts into Dante's touch. Why she's all sedated we're never actually told, and there's more fan theory than canon on that one. Regardless, Rose is depicted as having backbone and the courage to stand up for herself after Cornello. Obviously not invincible, but not a coward either.
So I believe Dante seduced her. I think the older woman found her incredibly attractive and wanted her. She fell for Rose not as a person, but as her future. She figuratively and literally wanted her for her body. And Rose, meanwhile, had found who she felt was a friend in the chaos.
