Look at that beautiful dark skin. We should all take a moment to appreciate our beautiful black skin. There is something about yellow/mustard that makes me glow.

I HAVE GOT to stop caring about stupid shit
4miles and a breakfast bowl
After a long day of buying things for my new apartment and talking to my sisters on the phone, I went to bed late. It was difficult to get up this morning because I wanted to sleep some more. I finally got up at about 5:50 and didn't leave my apartment till a bit after 6 am for my 4 miles run. It was an OK run , glad I got it over with. Once I was home, I decided to make a breakfast bowl. It was sautƩed kale, zucchini, beets, and coconut oil. It was quite delicious. Happy Friday!
My thoughts through a 10miles run
First things first, why the hell am I running for 10miles? Well I spontaneously signed up for my second half marathon and Iām currently training (trying). I was on vacation last week with my friends at NOLA. As with every 20something years old; we partied, ate a lot, and stayed up late. Now Iām back and I dived right into training. I started slow by biking on Thursday and then ran 4miles on Friday. Now today Saturday, I ran 10 miles! Originally, I didnāt think I was going to finish the run because my mind was not ready to run and it was getting hotter. I stopped a lot but did not walk. The first 5miles were hard because I ran a route that had hills. The next 2miles were on a trail, which also included hills. I stopped for water and I was thinking maybe I should head home. I didnāt. I changed my music station to samba. Which put me in a great mood. So I continued up to 9 miles . The last mile took every thing in me to finish. I did it I finished it! Here is to every 10miles we do with a struggle but finish strong. #strongisbeautiful
Running in the coldā¦
Something about cold air flowing through my lungs when I take my first stride is refreshing. It makes me feel light, it makes me feel good. It makes me like Yes! I can finish this run. I ran 5miles this morning at about 4:10 am. Although, I have been having a hard time lately getting my times low, this run was still brilliant. Half way through my run, I took of my shirt and kept on going. The cool breeze was phenomenal, it helped dry up my sweat. At the end of my run-I finished in 45:00mins-, I decided to do a few sprints to shake my legs off. Itās Monday and there is no better way to start my day. Happy Monday!

Who am I kidding. I wanna be in love. I wanna be loved. I wanna be trusted and cared about.

All white..
White.... I'm not the biggest fan of wearing white because of how messy I can be. But when this colour is places on my dark skin, it looks brilliant. I originally wore this outfit with the hopes of going to the NOLA white linen festival. Due to the heavy rain, I didn't attend. During early times of the day, my friends and I visited a museum, danced to local jazz on the street, tried gumbo for the first time, and visited the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. I must say, it was a productive day
