while I agree the cost of having children is prohibitive, can we discuss some of these #s?
These are just three schools I have some connection to, if you go to the cheapest state university if your state or a community college (which I did) the number will be lower, but these three above are above average but not unreasonable goals and if you account for food, transportation and other cost of living stuff 100K a year definitely isn’t out of the question, but yeah likely a little higher than it could be.
As for child care I can’t find anything vastly different than your numbers but 1.5K a month isn’t that far from 2K and that’s an average, which means somewhere close to half the day care centers used to calculate that number were more than 1.5K. The numbers will vary by state but it’s still a massive cost that makes raising kids more difficult than it should be.
Y’all act like people have 20k in disposable income. Whole lotta people ain’t even making 20k a year.
My college was 61-63k per year & if u factor in general expenses/travel to school and back for holidays/books that number gets closer to 100k 😫
Tips for Getting more out of Life
1. Stop resisting change and see it as a constant in life.
2. Learn to enjoy, and value, solitude.
3. Never forget that friendship is a gift, not a possession.
4. Things are rarely as bad as they seem at first.
5. Do your most important tasks first thing in the morning.
6. Smiling seems to help with most things!
7. Schedule margin into your life – as something unexpected will often change your plans.
8. QTIP: quit taking it personally.
9. Define what’s necessary; say no to the rest.
10. Take a deep breath and wait before responding. Don’t react, and say something you’ll regret.
Don’t treat mistakes as setbacks, but as opportunities for growth and development.

Just because it didn’t happen the first time, doesn’t mean it won’t happen at all. Be patient, be positive, and keep at it.

Simple interrupted suturing is the most basic and most important of the suturing techniques. Here is a short demo video, meant for the beginning/infrequent practitioner to review prior to suturing a laceration.

Take criticism lightly. It means nothing against your character, but are merely opportunities for growth and development. There is always room for improvement, for no one is a complete expert in every task.

Being with somebody is a choice .. remember that folks
I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.
I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY
I hope things can get better for me too ❤️
I wasn’t raised Christian. But I see my boyfriends family and how central Christianity was and is to the foundation of the family. The kids are 20, 25 and 27 and still the family does s conference call at the beginning of the week to pray and fellowship together. I hear the way his dad and mom speak the word and speak life into their kids. You can see God’s love in the way they love their kids and in the way their kids feel loved Definitely a model for how I’d want to raise a family
