WOW
wwooowwwwwwwww
it's not that deep
i wish i understood what i said i'm just speaking what i heard i'm just wishing for what i think i'm just hoping to be shamed
make every fear i had come true and i'll tell you truly, i love you tell me it's the end, yet again it'll be over with a slug to the head
i can't decide on the round i'll use to split my head into halves when does a story stop being a story when does it just become true
i wished too often for love i'll lose more than i ever had i'll kill more than i've ever saved and i'll die in more pain than i can crave
They say there is a first time for everything. But what about last times?
First times are easy. You see them coming for the most part. You can prepare. They will happen again.
Last times are forever.
Last call.
Last dance.
Last kiss.
Last breath.
And you never know it when it happens for the last time. It just disappears…..
Live in this moment. Be present in this time. Love this, what you have right now, like it is the last time you can.
Comfort.
Is it in the nostalgic thoughts & memories
Of when life was “simple”?
When a piece of something sweet could replenish dopamine levels & redirect my thoughts to
the next thing.
Instead of regulating emotions that’s tied to what I visibly see & what I picture in my head.
Is it in the now & present,
Knowing life is concrete & factual,
There is no “if”, “and” or “buts” involved.
Just you and me experiencing things unfolding on itself.
Is it in what the future holds;
Where life is filled with unknowns?
Having hope that things will get better
Because they always say
“Time heals all things”
Is it cliche because I know it too?
Perhaps it’s in the escapism
Of religion, substances, or even sleep.
If time passes to heal what can we do to time travel?
What can we do to numb our thoughts till one day that time comes
Where salvation & redemption meets,
& everything ends in pure bliss.
Is it living vicariously through other peoples words:
Peeking into their vulnerable states of instability or creative expressions,
Knowing that we are in this together.
That it’s better to spill our heart out rather than implode with the amount of words that flow in between our ears
In the silence,
Even if it is always silent around us.
Every time I think it’s over,
every time I finally give up,
something small and stubborn in me reignites,
a flicker that refuses to die.
It’s quiet, but defiant.
It crawls out of the ashes whispering,
“Not yet.”
No matter how much I break,
there’s a part of me
that simply won’t accept
being a failure.
Teach me your language
not the words,
but the pauses,
the tone your heart speaks in.
I may not be native to your homeland,
but let me belong.
Let me learn your silences,
your unspoken metaphors,
your ways of saying I’m here without words.
Let me be fluent in you
in the rhythm of your pulse,
the dialect of your dreams.
Let me be native to you.
Maybe love is about building a life where the kitchen lights are soft, the conversations are real and there's always someone humming beside you while the kettle sings.
Sometimes maybe it's shared silence while stirring soup, the clink of spoons, laughter spilling like spilled flour and someone who knows exactly how you like your tea.
Maybe it's just finding someone you want to be in the kitchen with, making eggs at 2 a.m. or dancing while the pasta boils.
This
You must come back to yourself in whatever way you can.
a study in contradictions
it’s a funny thing
to be a person made of both hope and sorrow,
to hold light in one hand and ash in the other
and still not know which to let go of.
I am equal parts
optimist and pessimist,
devoted and disillusioned.
I scream, “I should have known,”
and whisper back, “but we are built for love.”
because aren’t we?
aren’t we vessels designed to pour and be poured into,
to risk the breaking just to feel full again?
we cannot love if we do not try—
and yet each attempt feels like another small death.
so I live inside this contradiction,
this endless tug-of-war
between the ache and the reaching,
between the quiet knowing and the wild hope.
maybe that’s what it means to be human—
to always be a little at war,
always negotiating the truce
between heart and reason.
sometimes i think life just wants me to sit down for a while. to stop clawing at the hours like i'm racing against an invisible enemy. maybe it's okay to let the dishes sit in the sink tonight. maybe it's okay if i don't reply to every message. i could make coffee and watch the world exist outside my window. i could reread old notes i wrote to myself, the ones saying keep going, the ones saying rest. i could listen to the electric fan hum like a tired lullaby and let my thoughts float, unanchored, unjudged. i could let today be unfinished. i could let tomorrow figure itself out. i could be here, just breathing, just alive, just enough.
Will I ever write what's really on my mind? Will I ever breathe the air between these lines- Interwoven into phrases that mask the filtration? Is there an answer? Will I just have to wait and see? Or maybe I should face what's lying underneath. Truth be told I always know. l ask these questions just for the tone. But it's not up to you, it's not up to me, it's up to the pink matter floating in this grey sea.
The fluid physicality that connects my reality to the truth that's made it's home taking up all that's inside of me.

The anchors to reality Are coming loose All is displaced and I neglect Important details
Maybe if written into fact Exist in words as predefined Even in fun I won’t downplay That secrets knot my stomach
I recoil at the tight smiles Aching to smother and unravel A silenced phone in a dark room Lights up with calls again, again
You leave behind A restless phantom It morphs at night In violent dreams
Awake, I’m tense and scattered My panic muted but pervasive I pace aflame, pulsing with static Aware I want what you won’t give
