         ‘’ —— we don’t know that A N Y T H I N G happened, maybe you’re just being PARANOID.‘’ she knows that’s untrue, though; she has that feel of unease that suggests the other is right, even if she hates to admit it. ‘’ —— or maybe it was just an U N H A P P Y coincidence. not everything has to be some big thing.‘’

          appearing nonchalant seemed to be the last thing on the wolf’s mind as he fixed his gaze on the creature before him. just what were they doing ? a crazy maniac ? perhaps – all the way out here by oneself, surely likely. however, as he continued to watch, he also got this sense of – something in the air ; energy ? that seemed like the best word to describe it.           and then –           his muscles and bones felt like they were being torn to pieces, his vision BLURRED, and for a moment it felt like he was completely outside of his body before he he seemed to focus. his hearing and sight were more dull, but it seemed like his skin was touching – everything, no EXPOSED.

          “ wh – ” eyes shifted to the person before him, gaze narrowing in well - deserved SUSPICION. “ i just did. nothing special. ” he truly could not answer that question. “ how did you know – ” he couldn’t bring himself to comprehend it. “ that’s not possible … ” but as he would say such words, he even thought they were stupid. CLEARLY it was possible … just, as he’d asked not too long before : how ?

Hayden watched as the wolf’s bones began to grow, rolling pale azure hues as the wolf whimpered and hollered in pain. Hayden pushed theirself onto their feet and stepped forward after the wolf had shifted back into his human form. Taking the man’s chin into their petite hand, fingers digging into the flesh of the man’s jaw. Using their grasp to yank his head up, forcing the wolf to look the witch in their eyes. An extended huff being drawn past smooth rosy lips, rolling glacier like orbs and roughly pushing the man’s head away from their firm grasp. 

The blonde was beyond frustrated, but it wasn’t the wolf’s fault that THEY made a mistake. It was the clear the wolf truly didn’t know about the barrier. Someone else must have disrupted it, the wolf was probably just a clever distraction. Hayden slowly adjusted their gaze back onto the man as they combed slender fingers through pale tresses of hair. “ I used to live with a pack of wolves, it’s not hard to tell a werewolf’s aura from a regular wolf’s. Now, reversing your transformation was a little harder, tampering with the moon’s magic isn’t something every witch can do, I’ll explain later.”

Hayden dug into their satchel, pulling out a thin tapestry with a triple moon symbol embellished onto it. Tossing it towards the man with a playful wink, accompanied with a sly smirk. “Might want to cover up big boy, you’re coming with me.”

------- “ Well that doesn’t sound very challenging, when do we begin anyways?” Hayden scoffed, resting their chin onto the top of the creamy flesh of their hand.

          friend or foe ? theo didn’t bare his teeth at the other just yet ; this wasn’t really his territory, so he didn’t have any right to stop anyone from walking around here – but his sister was close by – so he would keep an eye out just in case. and with that resolution would the wolf lounge on a rock nearby, eyes now half - closed, in an attempt to look as c a s u a l as possible.

-------- Spite the moon being full, Hayden wasn’t exactly expecting to run into a wolf. Especially in an area they had been to a frequent amount of times without running into one of the cursed creatures, mostly because the witch spelled the area to be hidden from the natural as well as the supernatural. Hayden eyes lifted to gaze upon the moon that shone down upon the wolf and the witch. They needed to interrogate the other, find out how the wolf managed to get into the area, but they clearly had no luck doing that when the moon was full. 

“This is gonna hurt like a bitch.” Hayden said in a displeased tone, plucking the red amulet from around their slender neck. Allowing the jewel to roll past the tips of their fingers, spiraling down towards the autumn leaves. Reaching out that same hand towards the moon and the other towards the wolf, the leaves around the witch being blown outwards by a sudden force of energy that was released from the witch’s curvaceous form. Blood beginning to leak from their nose, slowly trailing down to plump lips. Their voice breaking the quiet of the forest as they wailed out in pain, falling to their knees as large burst of energy broke free from the witch, the moon no longer as full or bright as it was just a few moment ago.

Hayden slowly lifted icy orbs to gaze at the man that had replaced the wolf. “Now that we can talk, mind telling me how you managed to get past my barrier, mutt?”
