They say we shouldn’t look back, but I liked this oldie so much I decided to refresh it a bit. Our diploma project character, who used to be a skinhead.

The initial design was made for Character Design Challenge (Nov 2016). I liked the idea but the execution, well, wasn’t the best, to say the least. So I thought I could refresh it a bit – and oh boy, does it look better now ;)

Cats for a “find pairs” game for a children’s book. In the end they didn’t pick me for the illustration job. I did some tests though, and  the kids liked the orange one the most. The rests turned out to look to scared/sad/weird. This surprised me then, but now I see it too.

Good lesson. Always try to check your work with the target group, because you most probably don’t see what they see.
