Why were lines so long. Especially for coffee. The line seemed to drag on and on, slowly driving Oakleigh insane. It had to stop. She put her earbuds in her ears and slowly rocked her hips side to side as she slowly danced to the music in her ears.
“If you here to borrow one, be my guest. But if you here to give me a speech about how this shit is slowly killing me, that speech will kill me quicker. Spare us both the pain and move on. How does that sound?”
Oakleigh leaned across the table, “That is true.” she explained, taking the cigarette from his mouth and taking a drag herself, “But I guess it’s going to kill us both then.”
“Fuck,” Finnley mumbled as he gave his lighter a shake. The sidewalk was illuminated by the street lamps that lined it but it was still rather dark not to mention chilly. He had just stepped outside to get away from the small crowd that was now forming in his buddies house. What was supposed to be a small get together had quickly turned into a house party and Finn just wasn’t in the mood; but being the loyal friend he was, he promised his friend he would stay long enough to have a couple of beers. As fate would have it he was now stuck outside with no lighter and contemplating getting an uber back to his place.
Pulling away from the male, Oakleigh’s eyes grew wide, “Shit. He’s gonna kill me.” he gently pushed him away before jumping off the counter top. She adjusted her shirt, not paying attention as she shuffled through the people. The only thing on her mind was getting back home before her brother noticed. That was until he ran into the male outside, knocking herself to the ground.

Ellie: I’m bored. Come entertain me.
Oakleigh: I'm sorry. I think you have the wrong number.
Full Name: Oakleigh Adams Age & Date of Birth: 24 - September 7th, 1993 Gender & Pronouns: Female; she/her Hometown: Wilmington, NC. Time in Ormont: 3 and a half years Occupation: Front Desk Agent at Lil Kickers (full-time) and Tall Oaks Day Spa (part-time) Sexuality: Heterosexual Faceclaim: Britt Robertson
[ TW : ABUSE ]
Oakleigh Adams was born into a life of chaos. With an abusive father, a brother who was so against everything that he seemed to put off from the world to make a difference and a mother that abandoned the family just after Oakleigh’s birth, the girl was destined to be a bit on the wild side. Her father wasn’t the best - in fact he wasn’t exactly the greatest role model in general - and Oakleigh’s life was usually a living hell when it came to her father. The girl craved nothing more then to be ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’ and instead she was constantly reminded of how much she looked like her mother, which caused the man to have random and sudden bursts of outrage. The abuse started from the time that the girl could remember, but she was thankful to have her older brother - Cash Adams - as her support. From an early age the male made a pact with his younger sister that he’d always be there and he never broke that promise. Of course when he joined the Army and left his sister alone with their father, that’s when things really got bad for Oakleigh. Oakleigh’s father began to abuse her even more, putting the girl in the hospital and sending her older brother Cash to the rescue.
Now, Oakleigh is more guarded, and it takes a bit for her to let people in due to her father’s abuse. She doesn’t trust people easily and she always has her older brother to turn to if she needed to. Oakleigh tries be be her normal outgoing self, though she always seems to be looking over her shoulder as if someone was watching her.
Running. Oakleigh was running down the street. Ten minutes late and she knew this was the final straw. She was going to get fired. There was no going around it. She jerked open the door, rushing in, “I’m so sorry I’m la-” she stopped. Nervously laughing she backed up slightly, “And this isn’t even my job.” The girl shook her head, her cheeks already a bright red, “I am so, so sorry you guys. Carry on with- with whatever you guys were doing.”
Okay, Wade… I need your help. And it’s urgent.
