This visual novel depicts scenes from Campaign 2 and essentially imagines Caleb as a dating sim protagonist (choices already made by Liam) navigating his platonic and romantic relationships.

Day Fourteen. Can't Go Home
He hadn't intended to end up on the roof of Lord Eshteross's home while the others enjoyed a post-dinner discussion about their future plans. All he planned to do was step outside for some fresh air and time away from the others. The darkness of the sky from the clouds covering the moons brought the idea to mind, and he found himself clicking his boots together before he realized it. It wasn't until he landed that the possibility of Lord Eshteross trapping his roof came to mind. Luckily, he either happened to choose a safe spot or it wasn't trapped in case the Wardens landed on it.
Either way, the lack of a trap meant he was free to sit there in the dim lights of the night sky as he tried to get his thoughts together. He worried terribly for his brother when he first learned about the bounty on his head, but that was nothing compared to finding him on the cusp of dying with an assassin standing over him. If they would have arrived even a second later, they would have been too late to save him. His brother would be dead instead of spending the evening with his friends and Lord Eshteross.
Or maybe they would have brought him here like Bertrand. What would he have done then? Accompanied his brother's body back to the Silken Squall? The place he tried so hard to break away from and didn't want to go back to.
Every time he thought about what going back might mean for him, the worst immediately sprung to mind. His parents forcing him to stay and fulfill what they felt his duty to be, even though he didn't want that. He never wanted to be what they wanted from him. Cyrus had always been the one interested in learning from them to one day take their place. It had never been his calling as their second son. Never what he saw for his future, especially after meeting so many people he now called friends.
He didn't want to leave them. He didn't want to go back to being Brontë Secondson Wyvernwind. He wanted to be Dorian Storm, a bard, member of the Crown Keepers and whatever this new group called themselves. He wanted to stay with these people as long as they would allow him to. He wanted to cling to this like a child with a stuffed bear.
How could he let it go when this had been what his heart called for? Sure, he didn't know it when he first left the Silken Squall, but that was the point of leaving in the first place. He knew that he wasn't meant to be stuck in a city hidden in the clouds away from a majority of the world for his entire life. His heart called for the adventure of exploring Exandria with people that actually gave a damn about him. People that he loved. The family that made him feel loved and wanted.
He didn't want to return home. He couldn't go home.
“Dorian?” A gentle shake from a hand resting on his shoulder drew him from the spiral of thoughts threatening to pull him down. “Dorian, can you say something or give me a sign that you can hear me?”
“Are we leaving?”
“No, the others are still talking. Lord Eshteross finds your brother... entertaining.”
Not knowing what to say, he gave a jerky nod of acknowledgement. "It's getting late. We should go.”
“What were you thinking about?”
“Just-just about Cyrus. He almost died today.”
“We saved him. He's still alive.”
“I know.”
“What were you really thinking about?”
“Sometimes, I hate how well you can read me.” The soft chuckle from Orym eased some of the nerves bundled up in his gut, making it easier to think. “I was thinking about Cyrus.”
“But?”
“If he had... had died, I would have needed to accompany his body home, but I can't go back there. I can't go back home because I don't know that I'll be able to leave if I do.”
“What makes you think that?”
“You haven't met my parents. They were stifling. It took years for me to figure out how to leave without them knowing, and I doubt it would work a second time.”
“You are your own man now, Dorian. It's up to you to decide what you do with your life.”
“Even if that were true, I'd be a disappointment in their eyes. They had a very clear vision of who I was meant to be.”
A hand settled on his thigh to give a gentle squeeze, then stayed there as a steady weight against his leg. “And who were you meant to be?”
“A dignitary. A helping hand to the one at the helm. A husband to an air genasi wife that provides children to continue our line. A backup for my brother. A second son.”
“And who are you?”
“I don't know. Not that.”
“Do you know who I think you are?” After waiting for a sign, Orym finally continued to speak when he received a nod from Dorian. “You're a musician. You're a wanderer. You're a kind person that opens his heart to loving people, even if it hurts. You're finding yourself more every day. You are Dorian Storm. You are free and wild and not meant to be contained.”
“That won't matter to them.”
“Will that change you? If you did go back and they forced you to stay, would you magically turn into who they wanted you to be?”
“No.”
“Your parents can't change who you are, but that doesn't mean you have to go back. If you never go back to the Silken Squall, that's your decision to make. I do think you're wrong though.”
“About what?”
“That you can't go home.”
“My parents are powerful people. They could keep me there if they want.”
Rising to his feet with a smile, Orym took Dorian's jaw in his hands and turned his head to face Orym. “Home isn't always a place. For some, it's people. I don't think the Silken Squall is your home, not anymore.”
“What's my home?”
“Us. At least, I hope it is.”
“It is.” His hands took hold of Orym's hips to drag him close, so much so he could feel the heat through the armor and clothes between them. “This is home.”
