Pearl didn’t think she ever had an upgrade before. She was a little scared, but she folded it up and put it in her pocket.

Duvay had also received a similar letter and was checking if her friends gotten the same letter. “Pearly! Did you get a letter like this also?” she skated to her friend and handed her friend her similar letter

“Yeah! Why?” Pearl held up her letter, staring at it suspiciously.

“I got one as well. I think the girls got them too”

“Huh. So, how exactly do upgrades work around here? Just new technology and a fresh coat of paint, right?”

“I have never had upgrades done here actually”

“Well that certainly doesn’t help.” Pearl sighed angrily, wishing she had some answers.

coco had been out doing things when she came back to her shed and noticed a letter hanging off her front door. looking at the note, the engines eyebrows furrowed as she read over the notice over and over again. deciding that she should head over and get this handled, she passed by the coach shed and noticed the pink car outside on the deck. skating over, the raven haired female noticed a familiar paper poking out of her pocket. “ excusez-moi ?! ” she called out to get the others attention. “ I can’t help but see that you have thee same letter as moi in your pocket; im new here, could you show me where i get this - how you say, taken care of ? ”

“I’m just as confused as you are.” Pearl told her friend. “I think that we just have to figure this out...” She tried to lighten the mood. “Hey, why don’t you and I head over together on Saturday?” Pearl let out a big smile, trying to seem less worried.

Pearl rolled back into the shed ultra-fast today, clearly excited. “Look what I found, Rusty!”In her hands, she held a tiny, sleeping kitten. They seemed to be rather skinny, and had gold fur.“Can we keep them? Please?”

The steam train let out a loud gasp at the sight of the tiny creature in Pearls grasp. Covering his mouth, he rolled up to the two and rapidly nodded his head.

“Ohmystarlight- They’re adorable! Yes of course!!”

Pearl put the sleeping kitten on a nearby pillow laying around, planning to leave them there until they wake up. “Aren’t they adorable?” She asked, stroking the cat’s fur.

“They are!”

He sat down next to the little feline, admiring it dearly.

“Almost as adorable as you!”

A wide smile spread across Rustys face as he too started to pet the kitten, struggling very hard not to just pick it up and cuddle it close.

“Oh, Rusty!” Pearl was clearly blushing. She gave Rusty a huge hug, and stared at the kitten until they woke up.

Without hesitation, the steamer hugged her back. He had a little trouble deciding weather he should look at Pearl or the kitten, evidently deciding on the observation car.

Pearl looked at Rusty back, as the waking kitten found a place between the two of them. “So, what do you think we should call the cat?”
