inguzuu started following you
Noctis blinked at the unfamiliar face when he entered the throne room, âHello,â he greeted at the male, giving the other a slight nod, âWhat brings you here?â he asked curiously.Â
âHm?â [Ingus looked to the man before him, brows furrowing together. He never intended to enter this...throne room, in fact he wasn't sure how he wound up her. It seemed that, in one way or another, the young knight would always wind up lost during his travels.]
[This man...There was something about him that led Ingus to believe that he was rather important. Of course, he was in this throne room, after all. But it was also the way he presented himself, he thought.]
âGreetings.â [he said simply, gaze still fixed on the other, as he took a step forward.]
âMy apologies, but I come with no purpose whatsoever.â [the boy paused for a moment, then continued.] âPerhaps you could help me, though? I've been traveling for many days, and have gotten myself...rather lost, you see.â [Although he was a little embarrassed to admit it, Ingus needed this man's knowledge of the area to find out where he was, and how he could get home.]

âśsparring partners [@queen]
[Rereading over the paper the boy held in his hands for the umpteenth time, Ingus walked on, towards his destination. Having caught wind of a request from a woman by the name of 'Queen' looking for a sparring partner of sorts, Ingus decided to take it, since he, too, was looking for someone to spar with. Practicing your techniques on your own only did so much, and if he wanted to improve both his magic and sword skills, he would need to spar with someone.]
[He soon reached the location that was mentioned in the quest, and, as he began to take in his surroundings, blue eyes spotted what looked like a female figure standing not too far off. Assuming this was the 'Queen' he was looking for, Ingus decided to approach the woman.]
âExcuse me, are you perhaps the one they call Queen?â [he asked calmly, observing the young woman. She looked at least one or two years older than himself, and her clothing looked very much different from his own. He was under the impression that this woman was truly a queen...But she didn't appear royal in the slightest. It was a bit strange, really.]

Hojo adjusted his glasses as they sat on his face. This boyâŚ
Hojo gave the young man another look over, as his scowl faded slightly. Unbeknownst to the other, the scientist was deciding how much worth this person was to his research. His physique was good, so he would hold out and likely have a good immune systemâŚÂ
The scientist decided that he might as well give this one a shot. He would make sure to take the proper precautions, of course⌠but that would have to wait. Now to secure the otherâŚ
Hojo slightly smiled.Â
âOh, you really wish to know of my studies? I have had a slight change of heart. I am willing to show you⌠Yes?â
[With a single brow raised, arms folded across his chest, and his head tilted ever so slightly, Ingus observed the man, waiting for an answer. He wasn't quite sure if he wanted to linger here much longer, let alone 'assist' him with whatever his research may be. But his curiosity had taken the best of him. For now, at least.]
âI...â [Ingus hesitated--if only for a moment--then, as he nodded firmly, the boy replied,] âYes I would, if it isn't any trouble.â [Although the man had seemed willing enough, he was probably just being polite, perhaps to make up for his...rather rude behaviour earlier.]
[If this man was at least attempting to be courteous, then perhaps he, too, should do so.]Â âAh--I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I am Ingus, Knight of Sasune.â
âAnd who, pray tell, are you?â

Hojo could tell that this boy was becoming impatient. The expressions rolling across the otherâs face revealed the distaste the boy was feeling, and the middle aged man was short on patience.Â
âThe name of this city is called Midgar. Now that you know, leave this laboratory; lest I choose to have you assist in my researchâŚâ
If anything, experimentation on the boy would calm his nerves and cease the attitude in his presence. Regardless of the outcome, he wanted this boy to give him peace.
âMidgar?â [he repeats, as an obviously confused expression makes its way onto the boy's face. Now he was absolutely certain he was no longer on the Floating Continent. But how could this be? Surely the crystals wouldn't have done this. No, he and the other Warriors of Light vanquished the darkness some time ago; the crystals no longer needed them. So, how did this happen? How did he get here?]
[Dismissing his many thoughts and questions, the young knight looked to the man once again, raising a single brow.]
âAssist in your research? What ever do you mean?â
[Perhaps he shouldn't have asked, perhaps he should have simply turned around and left. As much as he wanted to, though, Ingus was curious. What sort of research was this man conducting?]
@revengeblast
It had been just another ordinary dayâor so Cinque thought. She had spent the entire day exploring the forests on the outskirts of town, trying to find a path back to the Peristylium. Unfortunately, the more the warrior searched, the more she began to doubt herself. There just had to be a way to get home, right?Â
Cinque continued her endeavor, regardless of the uncertainty she was facing. That is, until she heard some rustling in the trees further ahead. With the smallest of, âeepsâ the student warrior placed her small, yet calloused, hands on the bark of the tree she proceeded to hide behind. Her breaths became shallow as she prayed to Etro above that whateverâor whomeverâwas out there would just go away.Â
Of course, all hope of that was lost once she heard a not-too-distant voice call her out. Cinqueâs lip began to quiver, her eyes began to feel the sting of warm tears as the mace specialist wished that she had Deuce, Seven, or Queen by her side. Cautiously, she shifted herself to the side in an attempt to peek out at her attacker. However, she leaned out a little too far, causing the red-head to lose her footing and fall over into the bushes with a shrill cry.Â
In her fit of panic, Cinque rolled out of the bushes with a sob and sat on the forest floor with a sniffle as she brushed the foliage off of her jacket. Little did she know that she had tumbled out in front of the intruder she had been so frightened ofâŚuntil she saw his shadow. Quickly, she scrambled to her feet terror-stricken, âUwwahhhh!âÂ
[His ears perked up at the sound of the cry, and his gaze quickly shifted to the bushes where, just mere seconds ago, it appeared as though it was rustling. Was it a monster, perhaps? Such a notion seemed very likely, so the boy took a few steps towards the bushes.]
[Though, as he prepared himself to take a slash at the creature, it came out of its hiding spot. Much to his surprise, though, it wasn't a monster, but rather a young girl, who looked no older than himself.]
[With wide, surprised eyes, Ingus took a moment to observe the girl, who obviously seemed terrified. He was terribly appalled with himself, for he had almost harmed an innocent maiden. Quickly, he sheathed his sword, and took a step towards the girl, kneeling down, so that he was level with her.]
âMy lady, you needn't fret; I have no intention of harming you.â [he said simply, offering her a small, but sincere smile. He then extended his hand to her, to help her stand once again.] âThough, you must be careful when roaming the forest alone. I thought you to be a foe, and you have my sincerest apologies for that.âÂ
@requiem-for-the-scientist
The scientist watched with disdain for the other, arching a brow slightly. Growing only more annoyed with the answer given, Hojo grumbled slightly to himself. Was it really too to ask to not be disturbed so often? It became ever so clear that Hojo needed to solve the issue of security; the scientist was being horribly bad at procrastinating on the subject.Â
The scientist gave the boy another look over, only to brush off his appearance. All of the new people looked the same; bizzarre.Â
âLost? You are in a private laboratory, and you are invading my space. Do you make habit out of entering unknown homes and buildings without permission?âÂ
[He had no intention whatsoever of upsetting this man, and yet somehow, it seemed he managed to so--and so quickly, too. If the other simply gave him the information he needed, then Ingus could simply leave him be, and perhaps try and find his way home. But  this man didn't look as though he wanted to cooperate, unfortunately.]
[The boy let a sigh escape him, uncrossing, then crossing his arms. Ingus' distain for such impolite people was surely becoming much more noticeable through his features, but he tried his best to remain calm as he spoke.]
âI was unaware of that, sir. And I'll have you know that this is my first and last time doing so.â
[The young knight took a brief pause, as his gaze became piercing, intimidating--or, at least he thought so.]
â...And you haven't answered my question.â
@requiem-for-the-scientist
The scientist stared at the screen with a dull sense of time. It had been hours since he had started this leg of his research, and it still had him puzzled. Things with the blood sample collected from the silver haired specimen were going slow, and it had Hojo thirsty for progress. It was the one downside to research; when things were not going wrong, but werenât going at all.Â
His attention was suddenly caught by the opening of the door to his lab. Reacting quickly, the scientist closed the screen, and stood promptly. It seemed that he had an uninvited guest. Making his way out slowly, he looked around before stepping out. He collided with the intruder, and collected himself quickly. Â
Hojo held a sour expressin on his face. It was becoming a major issue, people randomly entering his space. It was beginning to drive him mad. Adjusting his glasses with a scowl, he spoke condescendingly.
âWhat are you doing here?â
[As he folded his arms across his chest, and shifted his gaze from the floor, settling on the man before him, Ingus took a better look at the other. Although he was rather weary of him, and did not appreciate how ill-mannered he seemed, Ingus found that, he was, at least somewhat intrigued by him. Perhaps it was the foreign clothes he donned? The curious room he seemingly inhabited? Or simply the fact that this man, just like the city he had somehow found his way into, did not look as though it was from the Floating Continent. That seemed about right, he thought.]
[Ingus wanted to reply with an 'I beg your pardon?' and perhaps tell this man that such an attitude was not appreciated. But alas and alack, Ingus knew he must hold his tounge, for this man was obviously much older than himself.]
âTruth be told, good sir, I've not even the slightest clue as to why I am hereâ  [He replied simply, gaze fixed on the man, and brows furrowing together.] âI've gotten myself...a little lost, you see. Perhaps you could be so kind as to tell me where I am?â

[Sometimes, when Ingus found himself lost, unsure of where he had stumbled upon this time, he liked to think that maybe, this was the crystal's doing. Or, perhaps the eternal winds guiding him. They were rather comforting thoughts, but not necessarily logical. Though, the fact that the boy had now found himself in a strange, urban area was just as--if not more--illogical than his previous thoughts.]
[Where was he? What did they call this land? Was it on the Floating Continent? Earth? A multitude of questions raced through the young knight's mind, as he wandered aimlessly through the city streets. However, his expression remained stoic, indifferent as he walked on, carrying himself with a sense of dignity. Although, he couldn't help but feel a little sheepish--as he no doubt looked very out of place with his attire.]
[Soon enough, Ingus stumbled upon a rather interesting building. Somehow, simply by staring at it, his curiosity was piqued, and, although hesitantly, he entered. Although, mere moments upon entering, as the boy was yet still consumed by his thoughts, he collided into another person. With his eyes widening in surprise, the boy took a few steps back, and regained his composure, before placing a hand on his chest, and inclining his head respectfully, without even glancing at the other.]
âAh--my apologies...â
@revengeblast
[Now, where had the boy gotten himself this time?]
[He wasn't one to stray too far from Castle Sasune, or, at least nowadays he didn't--he knew the Lady Sara would worry if he were to wander too far, return to the castle after sundown, and the like. But somehow, he had seemingly made the wrong turn, or perhaps done just what he had reminded himself time and time again not to do.]
[This area of the forest was...so different--foreign, almost. The young knight almost felt as though he was in a new area entirely. But, how could this be? Moments ago he was in the forest surrounding Castle Sasune. Surely, he was still there, was he not? Ingus didn't seem to think so.]
[With his brows furrowing, half in thought, half in sheer frustration, and a hand subconsciously hovering over the hilt of his blade, Ingus took small, cautious steps forward, as his cerulean hues scanned the area with extra care, trying to spot a familiar landmark--anything at all that could assure him, he was still near the castle, and put his mind at ease.]
[A soft sigh escaped the boy's lips, and not long after, a frown slowly, but surely became prominent on his features. Ingus was about ready to give up, to simply turn around, and storm back to the castle that may or may not be there anymore, when suddenly--]
[He heard something.]
[The young knight quickly turned his head towards the sound--footsteps, to be specific--and his gaze began to settle on what looked like a figure approaching.]
[Unsheathing his sword, readying himself in case this person was looking to fight, the boy called out,]
âWho goes there?â
