The Viewer (BadBoyHalo x Male Reader)
Title: The Viewer
Pairing: BadBoyHalo x Male Reader
Request by: ZoloftEXE on Wattpad
Scenario: You're an aspiring YouTuber and viewer of Bad (It's not really an x Reader tbh)
---
(Y/N) knew that if he had chosen to become a YouTuber years ago, it would've been a lot easier to gain subscribers. These days, there are millions of people who are trying to make a name for themselves on the platform, so he is having to compete against all those people.
He wished he didn't constantly compare himself to the people who were trying to do the same thing as him, but it was difficult. It was difficult because there were more successful people who had amazing set ups, top quality sound, and engaging editing. (Y/N) didn't have any of that. When he was desperate, he would simply record audio on his phone.
Even though he had many of those discouraging thoughts, he was still grateful for the 2000 people who were interested enough in his work to subscribe. Although he was nothing in comparison to all the larger creators, the few people who still commented on every video always made his day.
His content was a mixture of gaming videos, mainly Minecraft, and video essays about underrated games. When he realized people loved to put on longer video essays in the background while they worked, (Y/N) realized it something he wanted to pursue in terms of content. The one thing he feared was that he would become large enough to where people would start making videos about him for simply having an opposing opinion.
There have been plenty of creators who have been harassed off the platform for daring to voice unpopular opinions in popular fandoms. They can be ruthless. (Y/N) won't deny he's been part of that culture when he was a lot younger, but he's grown as a person and as a critical analyst. Or at least, he hoped he did. He's learned from watching others.
Today, (Y/N) was sitting at his desk with his Discord on one monitor and YouTube on another. He was listening to the newest album from his favorite artist as he worked on a script for the next video. It was a review of a new game. He had seen video titles and thumbnails saying it wasn't as good as people were saying it was that were over an hour long. If those people could rant for an hour, (Y/N) could certainly praise it for just as long.
The script had a good amount of it completed but he was still struggling to word his thoughts properly. There was only so much he could say about a certain mechanic, and he knew that saying it was "well done" wasn't going to convince anyone. (Y/N) was growing increasingly frustrated by the progress. He didn't need to be as this was not his primary job, as much as he would like it to be, but he hated having an inconsistent schedule. Thankfully, he had a few gaming videos he could put out and the review didn't really need to be rushed out. It was probably a good thing it was taking some time. It meant he could take his time to properly form his thoughts.
He leaned back in his chair, trying to think of anything else he could possibly add to his script. He glanced around his cluttered room, looking for any kind of inspiration for what could be mentioned. There was nothing that could be relevant to the game. If he wanted to be taken seriously, he couldn't just ramble about nothing for thirty minutes. He hates it when creators did that. Shaking his head, (Y/N) sat back up and decided there was going to be no more progress made on the script today.
(Y/N) quickly texted a friend to see if they were available to play a game. He paused the music and started the familiar endless cycle of scrolling through YouTube to find something to entertain him.
His taste in content changes so frequently that all the recommended videos on his home page didn't pique his interest. There had to be something he could watch. He decided to look through the recently uploaded videos. This didn't give many options either. Many of the videos were just YouTube shorts and he preferred longer form content. That is when he saw it.
BadBoyHalo is live.
Smiling widely, (Y/N) clicked on the notification. The stream wasn't officially started as Bad had his Starting Soon screen playing. He didn't know how long it was going to take so he took one of the fidget toys off his desk and began to play with it. It was more entertaining than scrolling through boring YouTube shorts.
He adjusted his headset and leaned back in his chair, the soft clicking of his fidget toy keeping his hands busy while he waited. The upbeat lo-fi music on Bad's starting screen looped calmly in the background, a comforting sound he'd come to associate with late-night streams and lighthearted chaos. He preferred this kind of open in comparison to some of the louder songs some streamers played.
A small part of him wished he could join whatever Bad had planned for today's stream, just to be part of that world, even for a little while. He had about 2,000 subscribers, which felt like so much and so little at the same time. Then, the screen flickered. The Starting Soon screen disappeared and was replaced by Bad's face cam. He was wearing one of his signature hoodies and smiling, his voice instantly warm and familiar.
(Y/N) remembered when he was a faceless YouTuber and all the artists created their own interpretations of what he'd look like in real life or even his Minecraft skin. (Y/N) was one of the many people who tried. He was no artist, but he did have fun drawing Bad's character every once in a while.
"Hello everyone!" Bad greeted everyone cheerfully. "Sorry for the wait. A couple of important programs needed to update, even though it said it was done yesterday. A couple of friends asked to play some games on Hypixel and I might throw in a couple of Q&As here and there if you behave"
The chat exploded with excitement. Emotes race faster than he could keep up with. (Y/N) grinned, recognizing a few familiar usernames that always seemed to be present during late night streams. There was something oddly comforting about the sense of community. The inside jokes, the playful bickering, the endless stream of messages welcoming Bad and speculating about future projects.
He found himself subconsciously typing out a greeting in chat as well. Even though his own channel was steadily growing, there was a special kind of anonymity in being one of the many in someone else's audience. There was no pressure to perform, just the freedom to watch and enjoy. He was sure that wasn't true for the bigger creators who appeared in people's chats.
As the stream continued, Bad and his friends moved onto the Hypixel mini-games. They were all games (Y/N) was bad at but he admired their skill. As Bad continued reading messages and teasing the chat, a sudden shift in his expression. His eyes lit up, mischief in the curve of his smile.
"I've been teasing a contest for awhile now. I wanted to do a couple of videos with the community and wanted to hold a raffle for it! I'll have one of my mods post the link to my Twitter post but all the information is there!" Bad said smiling to the camera.
This was his chance, and he was excited. The community was large and he knew the chances of him actually being pulled from the raffle was low but low is not zero. He would take that gamble.
(Y/N) smiled and filed out the information for the raffle and clicked submit.
"Now we wait" he said and now could only hoped he was in the pool of winners.

Note: This is both bad and short. I ran out of inspiration half way through. I want to move away from writing BBH fics unless it is specifically requested. I did update my Fandoms List and Rules to better reflect my current interests.
The Customer (BadBoyHalo x Male Reader)
Title: The Customer
Pairing: BadBoyHalo x Male Reader
Request by: friendandghostbur on Wattpad
Scenario: Bad works at Starbucks and finds himself fixating over one specific customer and tries to work up the courage to give you his number.
---
Darryl yawned as he refilled the large coffee machine. His energy drink hadn't kicked in yet and he was trying to do his best to do all the necessary tasks without messing anything up. If he did, the results wouldn't be pretty. He tried his best to avoid making customers angry, although they always found a way to be regardless.
Despite being tired, he enjoyed the morning shift. It made him feel like he was doing a lot. To be fair, Starbucks was always busy no matter when you came in. It was nice to be there before opening, getting everything ready. It was a time he could relax and breathe for a moment without the stress of the frequent rushes that were common in the industry. He loved the smells of freshly brewed coffee and tea. It's one of the reasons he loved being a barista. The scent did change if it sat there for a long time, as it often did, but it is something only a barista would notice.
Currently, there were only two working before opening. Darryl was focused on brewing the various teas and coffees while his coworker made sure everything was organized and stocked for the morning. The third employee would be arriving shortly after opening. It was only a Monday and from experience, Mondays were never all that busy. There were sometimes unexpected rushes, but he wasn't going to worry about it.
Darryl did a quiet groan when he heard a specific pop song playing over the speakers. He wished that they would change the playlist regularly. He already heard many of the songs enough. He especially hated the songs that were popular ten years ago but no longer relevant today.
Light was beginning to peak through the still drawn curtains. It indicated that he needed to hurry up and finish all his tasks. He listened for the absence of the familiar hissing from the machines. Once it had stopped, he poured a few of the containers into separate pitchers. These often acted as the bases for drinks this café offered.
He began to smell the coffee in the air, and he smiled. He sure did love this.
Darryl took a deep breath and immersed himself in his work. Zoning out like this helped him lose track of the time to give himself the illusion that time was moving faster than it was. He set an alarm on his watch for five minutes before opening so he could be fully ready to serve customers. He glanced at the window. The sun wasn't quite up yet from what he could see.
He allowed his mind to wander. He wondered if he could see himself still being a barista years from now. While he enjoyed it, some days, it made him want to hop into a box and hide forever. For being one of the most helpful workers towards Americans, many of them sure did make it difficult to function. It really gave Darryl mixes signals of whether those customers liked their drinks. They always come back but always complain.
It wasn't the happiest thing to focus on, so he forced his mind to think about something else. He could picture himself working in a fancier café. One that would make their pastries every morning, instead of just heating up frozen products. One that valued quality rather than the speed the Starbucks corporation expected their baristas to work. Darryl grinned into the sink as he cleaned out a metal cup. Someday he'll gain enough experience to be able to apply to a fun place like that.
It would be a fun experience if he chose to go to culinary school for baking but being a barista meant it could sometimes be difficult to afford necessities. He knew it would not be near enough to pay for the years of school. There were programs that could assist him but through his research, the ones that applied to him had too many restrictions that he wasn't a fan of.
His watch starts beeping, pulling him out of his fantasies of having a better job. Katie, the other employee there with him, had already opened the curtains. Darryl could see a few cars waiting in the parking lot and even a young woman on her phone, patiently waiting for the doors to open.
She must really need her coffee to be here already. Darryl thought.
With nothing left to do, he tapped his fingers against the counter and watched the second hand on the clock. He was growing impatient. He wasn't even sure why he wanted the store to open this instance suddenly. He just had a feeling that today was going to be a good day.
Another alarm went off, Katie's this time, signaling that it was time for her to unlock the door. Standing up straight, he prepared himself for the very first order at the counter. The woman came up and begun to place her order. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw more people come through the door. Behind him, he heard Katie and the third employee beginning to take orders from the drive thru.
"Will that be all for you?" Darryl asked the woman.
"Yeah" she responded.
As the day went on, he made a mixture of normal orders and stranger ones for teens who had most certainly seen the combination from TikTok or Instagram. Sometimes he would make these orders for himself to try new trends. He wasn't sure he liked them as many times, it was too sweet to the point that it was undrinkable. It would be better just to get a normal drink.
The rush slowly died down allowing Darryl to take a moment to breathe. It could sometimes be a little suffocating, constantly running around in different directions making drinks. Each time, he hoped it tasted as good as the last. No one wants their morning ruined by a mediocre cup of coffee. It won't have that same punch of caffeine.
Just as he was contemplating whether he would make himself a drink, he heard the familiar chime of the door opening. He looked up from the list of recipes he was trying to decide between and saw the next customer. Darryl instantly felt his cheeks heat him from the growing blush.
He had served plenty of attractive people before, although what characteristics one finds nice will vary, but there was something different about this individual. The way his (H/C) hair lay perfectly with his face...and Darryl has seen some awful haircuts on guys who thought they were the best. The newcomer was laughing at a joke said by his companion.
This was one of the reasons had a personal rule to never flirt with any customers. He never wanted to ruin existing relationships or make anyone uncomfortable. Plenty of girls would try to get his number and he would always politely decline to give it out. Katie would always judge him for that. She thought he should try to put himself out there. He would just reiterate his rule. She had it easy anyways, being straight. Through his job, he's heard comments from groups of high school boys who thought homophobic comments were funny. Thankfully, never about himself but it made him not comfortable trying to even attempt to flirt with anyone.
Pulling himself together, he smiled and said, "Hello! What can I get started for you today?"
The customer hesitated for a few moments, "I'd like to get a London Fog please"
"Of course! Can I get you anything else?"
The customer turned to the person beside him. Darryl finished taking their order and happened to notice the twinge of jealousy he was now feeling. That wasn't fair, he knew that. The woman could be anyone and even if she was his girlfriend, he wouldn't try to do anything. He knew Katie would probably take her chance.
On cue, she comes up from behind him.
"Aren't you supposed to be making drinks?" Darryl asked, not looking at her, trying to keep his focus on making the first drink. Maybe his face wasn't as pink as he thought.
"Lia's got the window and there aren't any more people coming through. Besides, you aren't subtle at all"
He instinctively looks over the coffee machines. The woman was waiting on her phone at the end of the counter to pick up the drinks. The man, whose name was (Y/N), was in a corner, his eyes focused on a book. Darryl smiled a little.
"I have no idea what you are talking about"
Darryl chose to ignore her whispered comments, finishing the first drink. He hands it to the one waiting and starts to work on the London Fog that (Y/N) had ordered. Since there were few customers within the store, he could focus on the quality of the order. He wasn't sure why he cared more about this specific order than all the other ones he has handled today.
"Here is the other drink for (Y/N)" he finally said once he was done.
He watched her walk to the table where (Y/N) was sitting. (Y/N) looked up, taking the drink from her and his eyes shifted to Darryl. He quickly turned around to find Katie laughing at him.
"What?" Darryl asked, with a hint of aggression.
"I am sorry but-" Katie couldn't stop laughing, "I've never seen you crush that hard before"
"I'm not crushing..." Darryl mumbled.
"Sure, if you say so. I'm not going to let this go"
Both went back to taking customers' drink orders. Darryl tried to push away the thoughts of (Y/N). He always tried to be careful with the kinds of people he fell for. He's been hurt before by someone he trusted. He had been friends with his ex for years before they started dating and it just didn't work out the way Darryl expected it to.
But (Y/N) felt...different. He knows he just met him but there was a warmth and kindness from (Y/N)'s smile. The way his voice found its way into Darryl's heart.
Darryl and Katie's shifts ended at the same time so he knew that, even after leaving the building, Katie would continue to bother him about this "crush". She should really find something better to do with her time honestly.
"You're still thinking about that guy, aren't you?"
He rolled his eyes and continued to walk in the direction of his car. No, she wasn't going to let this go at all. Sighing to himself, he knew he couldn't avoid talking about the newfound feelings either, so he decided to just allow the conversation to continue.
"Leave it, Katie..." he smiled.
Darryl has never been one to be open with other people when it came to trickier topics. One of those topics included his romantic life. He liked to bury his feelings and while he hated to admit it, Katie was rather good at making him feel comfortable. Sometimes he needed her to guide him to tell the truth.
"Oh, come on!" she teased, "I can still see it in your eyes. You have a crush!"
"I don't know what you're talking about" he responded, unconvincingly.
When she continued to smile at him instead of responding, he continued.
"Please. I serve a lot of customers every day. I don't even remember his name"
That was a lie. He remembered that the customer's name was (Y/N). He couldn't forget when his mind decided to fixate on it the entire day.
She laughed.
"Next time he comes in, you better get his number. If you don't, I will get it myself"
"I hate you"
"You'll thank me once you get it!" Katie shouted as he drove off.
Over the next few days, Darryl was hoping to see (Y/N) again. Every chime of the bell made him look towards the door, hoping to see the gorgeous face of the customer that had seemingly stolen his heart. It was one of the few things that kept him going to work each shift.
Katie's threat of getting (Y/N)'s number if he didn't still lingered in his mind. It kept coming back to him, urging him to say something when (Y/N) inevitably returned. He never felt both the surest and most uncertain about his feelings before. Was this truly a crush?
His hopeful thoughts quickly became ones of panic and anxiety. He still did not know if (Y/N) had someone else or if he was attracted to men at all. Darryl knew that he would need to dive headfirst into it, or he would never get anywhere in life. He just needed that small push. He feared rejection but that would be the worst-case scenario. Well, the worst-case scenario would be rejection and being called a slur.
After days of waiting, on a quiet afternoon, (Y/N) finally returned. This time, he was alone. He was alone but still smiling brightly. Their eyes met and Darryl felt the familiar flood of heat on his face.
I'm doomed, aren't I? Darryl thought to himself. He couldn't help but smile back.
"Hello! Good to see you again!" Darryl greeted him, trying to hide the excitement in his voice.
"Oh! Hello again" (Y/N) responded with a tone of surprise.
For a moment, they stood in an awkward silence, the noises of the coffee machines in the background. Darryl felt his heart begin to race. He knew the silence had to be broken somehow.
"Will you be getting a London Fog today?" Darryl asked, hoping that he was achieving his goal of remaining calm.
(Y/N)'s eyebrow rose slightly in a pleasant surprise. "Yes actually. I am surprised you knew"
"I try to make it a goal of mine to match faces with orders, even if someone has come in just a couple of times" Darryl chuckled. He knew his memory of their short first encounter was more than good customer service.
As he prepared (Y/N)'s drink, he would sneak glances at the customer. Even after Darryl noticed (Y/N) looking back at him, he continued to look. He noticed (Y/N) was looking at him with an expression that mixed curiosity and something else. That that something else was, he didn't want to try to guess.
The idea of asking him for his number was terrifying but he had to take that chance. He couldn't imagine how Katie would attempt to embarrass him if he didn't. He knew what he had to do. As he waited for part of the drink to warm up, he took a post it note and quickly wrote down his phone number.
When it was completed, he quickly placed the drink on the serving counter and slid it across to (Y/N). His hands were shaking slightly, giving away the fake calmness he was trying to maintain. Normally, he would've wanted to hand the cup directly, but he couldn't trust himself to do that.
"Thank you!"
The customer began to turn away, it was now or never.
"Hey!" he called out.
(Y/N) turned around with a curious look on his face.
"I-" Darryl hesitated and took a deep breath, "I hope you don't mind me giving you my number"
He began to feel a mixture of fear and relief washing over him. Darryl held out the post it note he wrote his number on. (Y/N)'s eyes widened, clearly taken aback by the offer. Darryl instantly regretted his decision to do this.
After what felt like many agonizing moments of silence, (Y/N)'s expression returned to its calm state. He reached out and took the note.
"Thank you" he said quietly.
Darryl felt the need to mend the situation and quickly said, "You don't need to text me or anything if you aren't interested! I totally understand if you're with someone or not interested in me or-"
"No, no," (Y/N) shook his head with a smile, "I do mean it. Thank you. I may just send you a message later"
(Y/N) gave a playful wink, which caused Darryl to blush harder.
As (Y/N) turned to walk out of the door, Darryl felt the happiness setting in. He did it. He finally did it. He now hoped that things would work out.
Now, he was just going to wait for the familiar ping of his phone.
Speculation (BadBoyHalo x Male Reader)
Title: Speculation
Pairing: BadBoyHalo x Male Reader
Requested by: xenenbii on Wattpad
Scenario: You decide to make hot chocolate for Bad while he streams.
---
It was no secret that it can be hard dating a content creator. (Y/N) had many creator friends who had their relationship public and he's seen the good and bad affects of doing that. Some flourish in the spotlight, showing off that perfect life, while others have seen the strain. He has witnessed many breakups and it wasn't fun to witness his friends go through so much pain, especially when millions of fans were involved.
He was grateful there were friends that trusted him enough to know the status of their relationship and in turn, he knew the status of his own was safe with them as well. (Y/N) was not a famous YouTuber or streamer by any means. Sure, he did a Twitch stream occasionally and a YouTube video rarely but he did not consider himself on the same level as his boyfriend or any of his other friends. That life was something he did not need the stress of.
(Y/N) saw the stress Darryl had keeping up with content creation and his public persona. He was glad his partner always set aside time to spend with him. He sometimes wondered how actors could spend months at a time away from their families. He wondered if it carried the same association of a musician going on tour.
One thing (Y/N) loved to do is watch Darryl's streams and bring him things as needed any time he mentioned them. It was (Y/N)'s way of telling Darryl he was watching. You'd think he would be mod with how much he spent watching but the pair agreed it was best if that didn't happen. Being mod could cause people to start looking into who (Y/N) was. Some fans could be a bit intense with how they treated their favorite people and those surrounding them.
On today's stream, Darryl had a camera set up to show Rat, who was currently sleeping on her bed, and the audience were loving it. They would commentate on everything she was doing. Every turn, every yawn, and every blink of her eyes. It was a bit much but Darryl preferred this greatly over some of the spam he's had to endure over the years.
Rat wasn't her actual name but it fit her so well that it might as well be her name. It's one of those nicknames you give your pets that become so common in your day to day life that using the original name seems wrong. Even when he wasn't using his BadBoyHalo persona, Darryl would sometimes say or do things that he would typically only say or do while streaming, including saying Rat. (Y/N) found it adorable.
(Y/N) didn't love Darryl because of him being a popular YouTuber. He loved Darryl for Darryl, and he appreciated that. Darryl didn't need to keep up his online persona in his personal life. He wasn't having to live a lie with his boyfriend. The lie was to his audience.
He was watching the stream, which was mainly building a new base, while trying to finish a personal project. He had all of his work out on the kitchen island and his laptop with the stream off to the side. (Y/N) kept moving the laptop around as he didn't want to bury it underneath all of his work.
"Does this look right chat? I can't decide if I like this color or this color"
(Y/N) checked the stream to see the context. Darryl was designing the entrance to the base and had several ideas for the color palette. The chat seemed to be split between the two options he had shown. (Y/N) quickly typed his opinion in chat and went back to his work.
"Yes, I think I am going to agree with everyone saying this one. Sorry to those who said the other. Both were very good options"
He continued to make progress and was slowly clearing the table.
"'What is your favorite drink'? Hmm...that is a good question. I think I'd say hot chocolate. Man, I'd love some right now"
In that moment, (Y/N) got an idea.
He thought it would be a good idea to make some hot chocolate for Darryl as a surprise and for him to have a treat to enjoy while streaming. He found the container in the cabinet and started the process of making it. Normally he would make the whipped cream but they, unfortunately, didn't have the cream or the vanilla he preferred to use. He chose to just use the can in the refrigerator.
Occasionally he would hear Darryl say something hilarious from reading chat and (Y/N) would let out a laugh. He loved his goofy self.
Once the hot chocolate was done, he topped it with the whipped cream and a little bit of cinnamon.
He walked into Darryl's room and could see he was busy with his game and reading chat. Rat was sleeping peacefully in her bed. With a careful eye on the hot chocolate, (Y/N) made his way across the room. He taps Darryl's shoulder to alert him.
"Oh gosh, you scared me" he jumped.
"Sorry," (Y/N) laughs softly, "I thought you might like some hot chocolate"
He hands Darryl the mug, whose face immediately lights up at the sight of it. He takes it from his boyfriend and places it on the part of his desk where he knows he won't accidentally knock it over.
"Should've known you were watching my stream"
"Of course. They're always very interesting"
"Chat certainly makes it interesting"
They both glance at chat. It was a mix of emoji and meme spam and people beginning to question who was talking.
"Indeed they do," (Y/N) turns to Rat, "Sorry to wake you, Rat"
He kisses her head and pulls out a dog treat from his pocket. He offers it to Rat, who immediately takes it. Dogs were always really hilarious to watch eating a treat. (Y/N) did know he was in view of the Rat Cam but in this moment, he wanted to forget.
"Would you like me to order food for you? I was considering getting something for myself but thought I'd ask you as well"
"I'd love some. I'll text you once I figure out what I want"
"Great. Enjoy your stream"
(Y/N) gives Darryl a soft kiss and leaves the room. Darryl was grateful he wasn't using his webcam. He was burning from the blush that would be very clear to an audience.
"I know what my chat is going to say. (Y/N) is just my roommate, I've said that many times before" Darryl says.
He really did wish he could tell them the truth but now just wasn't the time. One thing that was important was time. He wanted the time with (Y/N) where his audience wasn't going to constantly ask about the relationship or try to dig into their personal lives. He liked that peace. Separating his work and personal life is how he liked to live.
A lot of their friends knew they were roommates but only a small group knew of their relationship status. Darryl trusted the people who knew.
"I think communities of content creators sometimes look too deeply into the things the creator shares with their audience. Friends will playfully interact with each other, that doesn't mean they are attracted to each other. People will have roommates, that doesn't mean they are dating"
He could see that chat was still the mess that it was. On top of the normal spam, it was now filled with speculation and theories about who (Y/N) really was. It wouldn't stop as that is just how some fans can be but he could ignore it in the best way he could.
"Let's go back to this game, shall we?" Darryl sighs
He glances at chat and sees a familiar chatter.
(U/N): People are so nosey smh
"Indeed they are (Y/U), indeed they are"

Scenario: You are trying to make muffins for Bad and accidentally burn yourself
---
The house often smelled like baked goods. It ranged from the cinnamon from an apple pie to the sweetness from a cake. The kitchen was filled with cookbooks and supplies to make so many different treats.
This was all because of Darryl. On top of being a content creator, he was a baker. One of the things he was known for was using the word muffin in place of swear words. Although he used it so often, his passion for the food wasn't as great as his passion of swearing using the word.
But, it being brought up so often inspired him to learn how to bake. It started off as just muffins. Simple ones like chocolate chip and blueberry. This hobby grew to cupcakes and cakes. Instead of buying a cake from the store or getting a custom one at a bakery, Darryl insisted on making it for (Y/N)'s birthday.
(Y/N) felt a little bad because he could tell Darryl was trying his best to make the perfect cake. It looked stressful. Sometimes (Y/N) helped mix batter, pour something, or taste test a frosting. He always supported Darryl's work. It make him happy to see others happy. It was cute. It was one of the many things he loved about his boyfriend.
Today, as Darryl was busy, (Y/N) wanted to make muffins for him to eat later. He has never really done it on his own before as he's always helped Darryl makes his. But he had recipe books, which were usually reliable. Sometimes it wouldn't turn out how it said it was supposed to but that could be because of many factors. One of which was (Y/N) wasn't as talented as Darryl or the cookbook at baking.
He put on his favorite playlist and begun to work. He preferred working with music as it was too quiet if he tried to work without it. The world was quiet without it. It's strange as many people preferred to live unplugged from their devices and enjoy the natural sounds of life. (Y/N) could understand that and in certain situations, agreed that it was better. However, having sounds like music or an audiobook or one of Darryl's videos soothed (Y?/N) and it was easier to focus.
(Y/N) made sure to prepare all of the ingredients beforehand. It didn't make as much of a mess as doing it all in the moment would. He wanted to make it as easy as possible when it came to cleaning. Some dishes after being used for baking just don't like to get cleaned.
While humming to one of his favorite songs (Y/N) smiled. He couldn't wait for Darryl to see what he had made and knowing that his boyfriend would be pleased, that brought (Y/N) a lot of joy.
Meanwhile, up in Darryl's room, he was in the middle of a Twitch stream. He was just casually playing Minecraft with friends, as he often did. It was on an SMP server and Darryl was trying to add onto his base to make it bigger.
"Twelve...Thirteen...Fourteen....Fif-"
"Yo, Bad. Can you shut up?" one of his friends interrupted, laughing.
"Well, how else am I supposed to keep track of how many blocks I placed? I want it to be even" Darryl responds, defensively.
"Counting in your head?" the friend asks like it was obvious.
"Well, not everyone can do tha-" Darryl stops speaking as he heard something downstairs.
It was (Y/N) shouting his name. It sounded like it was important and Darryl wanted to help in whatever way he could. Telling his friends and his viewers he would be back soon, he put on his Be Back Soon screen and made his way downstairs.
As he got closer to the kitchen, he smelled the scent of muffins and felt the warmth coming from the oven. Darryl liked when (Y/N) baked. (Y/N) wasn't as good as himself but he always appreciated when his boyfriend made him. But surely he would've waited to call Darryl down since he was streaming.
When he entered the kitchen, he saw (Y/N) holding his hand under cold water from the sink. He noticed the open oven and muffin tray partially out of the oven.
"Are you alright?" Darryl asks.
(Y/N) nervously laughs and shakes his head.
"I wanted to make you some muffins to have after your stream," he responds, pointing to the oven, "When I was taking them out, it slipped and I accidentally burned my hand. Twice"
"Oh no. Does it hurt badly?"
"I just burned my hand, of course it does"
Not wanting (Y/N) to have to remove his hand from the stream of water, Darryl went into the bathroom to get burn ointment and something to wrap the hand in. Burns were common in the house as it happens when you're baking. Trying new techniques and the process of learning can sometimes leads to touching something. Everything cools at a different rate so it can be hard to judge when something is done.
Returning to the kitchen, Darryl pulled the muffin tray all the way out of the oven, placing it on the cooling rack and closed the oven door. They were cooked perfectly. They had the classic muffin top. None of them were sinking back into the pan.
"Hold out your hand"
Darryl took (Y/N)'s hand applied the ointment to the clearly burned area. It did not look terrible but the red was bright.
"Ow" (Y/N) whined.
"You'll be okay" Darryl reassures (Y/N), "I do appreciate this though. Do you mind if I take some up now?"
"Yeah, of course. They may be a little warm"
Muffins were always the best warm. Darryl preferred it that way. They did not need to cool before you put any toppings on it.
Grabbing a few and putting them on a plate, he turns and kisses (Y/N) on the forehead.
"Careful sweetheart"
Honesty (BadBoyHalo x Male Reader)
Title: Honesty
Pairing: BadBoyHalo x Male Reader
Requested by: CinnamonRolesSimp on Wattpad
Scenario: Bad experiences jealousy and after getting to a certain point, you ask what is going on.
---
He knew it wasn't fair to feel the way he did. He shouldn't get uncomfortable by who his boyfriend talks to or how he talks to them. It's natural to have some jealousy but it still didn't seem right to him.
"The best thing for our relationship is honesty" (Y/N) said.
"Yes, I know that. But you know somethings are difficult to talk about. I don't want to seem possessive"
(Y/N) laughed and smiled.
"You will if you keep it to yourself. I don't want you to feel discomfort. Opening up about it will help you feel more comfortable"
Darryl continued to fold the paper, thinking about what (Y/N) had said. Of course it would help but that didn't make it easy. There was always that fear of judgement and he didn't want to suddenly come off as a possessive and toxic partner. That's far from what he is and what he wants to be.
"I suppose it has to do with never really being in a relationship before. All I've been exposed to is the unrealistic expectations from the media"
His partner rolled his eyes. Darryl understood why. His whole career was media based and to an extent, he contributed to many things he wished he didn't. Sometimes there is not a lot of honesty when it comes to being a content creator. For years he's hid behind a pixel avatar as he didn't want the world to see him as he was.
Darryl wasn't exactly the most attractive person in the world. He wasn't the perfect, mentally stable role model people expect him to be. He's seen how Twitter treats those who try to talk about their insecurities. While he has a loyal fanbase who would be supportive, those who chose to attack him seem to always stand out.
They were surrounded by origami paper. Some were already folded into beautiful designs and others were discarded after either ripping or not being folded right. This was an activity Darryl and (Y/N) liked to do on days neither of them had to work.
With their favorite music playing through a Bluetooth speaker, it was a calming activity. A way to get rid of any stress. Somehow, there was something about this session that didn't seem relaxing to (Y/N) but he didn't want to pressure Darryl. It was important they share things but some things can stay to themselves.
After a good long hour of origami and a few short Spotify playlists, they prepared themselves for an event they had agreed to attend. It wasn't meant to be anything big and Darryl was sure he was going to be the only content creator this. This made him feel better about the event.
Originally, he didn't want to go at all. He has been to so many YouTube events, conventions, and panels that it got exhausting and repetitive. After researching for awhile, he found out it wasn't going to be anything like that. It would be refreshing to attend something smaller.
"Alright (Y/N), you ready?" Darryl shouts to his partner.
He received back a "YEAH" and waited in the front hallway from (Y/N). When Darryl saw his boyfriend, he smiled. There was something incredibly attractive about the way (Y/N) did his hair and that warmed Darryl. It calmed him seeing the person in front of him.
The pair arrive at the venue where the event was being held. There were signs everywhere for a fundraiser, gold colored decorations, and menus on the tables in case people wanted to eat. The bar was out of the way and to the left of the entrance. (Y/N) wasn't really a drinker but he sometimes had something when attending these events. Just to enjoy it a little.
"Hello, welcome!" an employee at the front greeted them
I am going to be honest, I am tired and losing inspiration to finish this section. I don't want to delay this anymore. Long story short, they enjoy the beginning part of the event but Darryl gets insecure with how (Y/N) and the bartender are interacting. They aren't flirting. Although, it could come off that way, especially from a distance. This will be edited to include everything once I am not tired and I get more inspiration.
(Y/N) notices Darryl approaching and (Y/N)'s name quickly fell and the laugh died in his throat. He didn't understand why Darryl looked angry? Distressed? Something wasn't right and it worried him.
"Hey, do you mind if I talk to you for a moment?"
Confused, (Y/N) finished his drink and followed Darryl out of the main event area.
"Why were you flirting with him? Or allowing him to flirt with you?" Darryl asks immediately once they reached a deserted hallway.
"I wasn't- was I?"
"Well it sure looked like it"
For someone so soft like Darryl, him being angry was shocking. To see him so serious and firm rather than joking through it.
"Listen, it's clear there is something going on between us if this is how you feel"
(Y/N) was going to continue, maybe even scold him, but he was shocked to see tears forming in Darryl's eyes. (Y/N) has seen him cry before as result of harassment, films, and stress but this was different. It seemed he had causes it and he felt worse.
"Are you trying to imply we break up?" Darryl said, trying to fight the tears.
No, that's not what the implication was. (Y/N) was a little hurt by this assumption, however, he could understand where it came from.
"Sweetheart" (Y/N) said, bringing Darryl's face close to his, "Of course not. I love you. I am just worried about you"
Darryl doesn't respond. He closes his eyes, taking in the moment. Under different circumstances, he would be filled with joy to be this close to (Y/N). Now, he feels drained. Resting his hands on his boyfriend's sides, Darryl kisses him.
"You don't just don't seem to trust me Darryl..." (Y/N) frowns.
With this, Darryl pulls away. He does.
"It's not you I don't trust"
Leaning against the wall, (Y/N) responds, "Are you sure? It just seems every time I am close with someone, you think it's something more"
Darryl thought back on what (Y/N) said during origami. That opening up would make it more comfortable for him. Maybe it was time for him to finally try. Not here. Not here in an empty part of a party where anyone could walk in and ruin it.
An employee of the event did find them and tell them that, while the area wasn't off limits to guests, there were cameras. With or without sound, Darryl knew it still wasn't the best place for an honest discussion.
After saying some awkward goodbyes and tasting one more small treat, the couple grabbed their coats and headed out of the building. Darryl felt guilty he was pulling (Y/N) away from it early. Before he displayed signs of jealousy, it looked like it was going well.
"Where do you think we should go?"
Looking around, Darryl couldn't see anywhere that felt right so he suggested they continue walking. The night was just right for a walk like this. If it had been any cooler, he might've taken them inside. Darryl wasn't sure why he didn't do that. They would have been warmer.
At last, his eyes were drawn to fabulous lights decorating a garden. From what he could see, some changed colors and looked like you could walk through it.
"I think we should go here"
(Y/N)'s expression had remained blank every since they had left the event until now. He now had a small smile on his face. There was almost hesitancy to walk towards it but this moment passed quickly.
They weren't exactly sure what they walked into, if it was an event or something more. As no one stopped them, they assumed their presence wasn't going to be a disturbance. This was good. Neither wanted to be surrounded by people, constantly trying to get their attention. It was mostly quiet. Darryl liked that.
Holding Darryl's hand, (Y/N) guides them through the garden of lights. It was beautiful. (Y/N) realized this was a small botanical garden. He had never been to one as there was never a right occasion to go. It wasn't at the top of his personal date night locations and now, he's a little disappointed he didn't think of it sooner.
The lights reminded him of those parks they fill with Christmas lights shaped like Santa and trees and any other festive shape. This garden was not that. While there were colorful lights, it was more full of white, gold, and silver. Some arched above them while others were carefully put around the shaped hedges and plants.
After a long silence, (Y/N) spoke.
"So," he paused, "Will you please tell me what happened?"
Darryl stops in front of a gorgeous collection of tall flowers. He observes them, (Y/N) suspecting that this was to give him time to think.
"I feel..." he inhales, "that sometimes I lose you"
Lose me? (Y/N) thinks.
"I do not want to be the boyfriend who feels threatened by every little thing and becomes possessive and toxic. But I worry" he says, tears forming in his eyes.
"I don't understand. I- Have I ever done anything to make you feel thing way?" (Y/N) asks, silently panicking to himself.
Darryl shakes his head.
"No, no. It's not your fault at all."
A large family was approaching so (Y/N) and Darryl took a few moments of silence. In this moment, Darryl wiped away his tears.
"I look myself in the mirror and wonder how long it will take for you to leave me?"
(Y/N) was shocked. He had never wanted to leave Darryl. He was always happy with how the relationship. He was loyal, he would never flirt or cheat or anything like that. If he truly wanted to be with someone else, he would leave. But he hasn't. All of this was hurting (Y/N). Not because it was seemingly about accusing him, which is wasn't. No. This was about Darryl. He was insecure in himself and that was painful to know.
"The bartender or one of your friends could be better than me"
"They will always remain as that: The bartender and my friends. You are my boyfriend. You are the one that matters to me"
He smiles. (Y/N) could tell there was more he wanted to say.
"I've always felt pressure as a creator. Pressure to put out content consistently. Pressure to be a role model to do many people, especially kids. Pressure to be someone I don't think I am. For a long time I was just known as the person Zak trolled"
Although he had known Darryl before he grew in popularity, when he begun to watch his content, he did notice this. Many comments on his videos and streams were just about other people. He wasn't his own person. (Y/N) was glad that over time, it happened less and less.
"I've had many disappointments in my life. I'm just afraid to lose everything. One mistake and everything could spiral down hill. This is the side I'm afraid of them seeing"
Them being all of his viewers.
"You see everything as a threat. One tweet, one misspoken sentence, one person. Will you look at me?"
(Y/N) didn't mean for his question to come off as harsh as it did. Darryl had been avoiding his eyes and (Y/N) needed to know that he was listening.
Darryl reluctantly moved his eyes from the fountain to his partner's face. Since he was so focused on telling his story, he didn't realize how handsome (Y/N) looked, surrounded by the glowing lights. With some of them changing color every so often, he was beautiful.
Taking his hand, (Y/N) continued.
"If something goes wrong, understand I am here. I'm not going to leave your side, no matter how hard it may get. You are the best person I have ever met"
"I really am sorry (Y/N). I didn't mean for the night to go in this direction. I've never been that great at interaction."
"I'm glad you brought me here. It's peaceful"
Darryl wraps an arm around (Y/N) and is comforted by the newfound warmth it brings him. He knows it will take while to get through his struggles and insecurities and while the night wasn't what was planned, he feels a lot better than he has been. Darryl slowly kisses (Y/N).
"I promise I will be honest" his partner says.
"As will I"

There was no one else on the highway. Only one lonely car with two very confused people. They were going on a road trip but it wasn't going all to plan. Both of their phones were dead and the rain hit hard on the windshield, blinding the driver.
The passenger was groaning as he was irritated, bored, and hungry. He didn't want to snack on the few cheap muffins they had gotten at a gas station hours ago, before the rain even started. He wanted to say something but didn't know how to break the silence after so long of being quiet.
They've been dating for just over a year but sometimes it could feel like they just started as sometimes their trust in each other wasn't great.
They met through, obviously, Minecraft and it took a few years of knowing each other to say anything.
"Darryl?"
"Hm" he said, not really listening.
"Do you mind if we stop?" (Y/N) asked, starting to tense up.
Darryl turned to his partner and seeing his clutching onto his leg, could see (Y/N) was uncomfortable. He had a fear of the fog, which never made any sense to Darryl but he wasn't going to question it.
He nodded.
He pulled to the side of the road and put the car into park.
"Hey, are you okay?" Darryl asks, places his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder.
He doesn't respond. Instead he stares at the fogged up windshield, shaking. (Y/N)'s breathing was getting faster and the tears started to form in his eyes.
"(Y/N)" Darryl says, concerned, "Look at me"
He does. Darryl sees the tears start to roll down his face.
"Are..." he chokes out, "Are we lost?"
Darryl had to admit that, since his phone had died, he had no way of knowing the real direction. The signs on the side of the road were almost impossible to read since the weather had been so bad.
"I-" Darryl didn't know what to say.
"Are we lost?" He asks again.
It was painful for Darryl to watch his boyfriend in this type of pain. The last time he remembers himself being this way was his flight to (Where you live). He does not like planes. He does not like flying. He will drive, even if it is a long distance trip. He is always prepared too.
"I'm sorry (Y/N)" he says, looking at the rain.
(Y/N) groans.
"I really am. This is my fault. I should've been more prepared. Should've brought a portable charger, checked the weather, stopped a long time ago!"
"Yes. It is your fault"
What? He's actually blaming me?
"What do you mean?" Darryl says, surprised.
"It's just as much of your fault as it is mine...We both weren't prepared"
Oh my goodness. He's not actually blaming me.
"I'm assuming we're staying here?"
Darryl smiled.
"We can use the blankets and jackets to cover the windows. I'll keep the car on for as long as I can but we're going to need gas to continue once the rain clears."
"Thank you" (Y/N) relaxes and climbs over the arm rest to get into the back seat.
Darryl follows.
"Well, I can think of one good thing" he says once he follows (Y/N)
"Hm?"
"I'm stuck in the fog with you and not someone else. That's 1,000 times better"

He sits in the bleachers, his arms wrapped around his knees, watching as all of his classmates danced and took selfies for their social media. There were students eating at the tables, students at the photo booth, and students making out in the corner, enjoying themselves tonight.
(Y/N) didn't want to be here but he promised a friend he would. He doesn't like school dances, or any social event for that matter. He was just very awkward and didn't know what to do. (Y/N) liked to focus on academics and was not a social butterfly.
A couple on the dance floor weren't afraid of judgement and acted pretty crazy. There were some groups who were legitimately good at dancing and others who were just doing the only ones they knew from popular music videos and celebrities. The music wasn't as bad as (Y/N) expected.
He heard most of the songs before because they are part of the playlist that the radio doesn't stop playing and kids blast on their Bluetooth speakers in the hallway. Some he would like to know the name to but was to afraid to walk through the massive group and ask.
(Y/N) could take the time to find someone to potentially date but his social skills were so bad, he doubts he'd be able to find someone. The person would have to be able to sit through his awkward jokes and wording of sentences. Only a few others could.
(F/N) did only because she wanted to help him become a more social person and possibly find someone to care about. It was hard since so many people were just really rude and expected certain things in a relationship. He wanted someone who was kind and caring regardless of gender.
At that moment, someone began to walk up the metal stairs to him. (Y/N) thought it was (F/N) but she was flirting with some person off in the distance. The person was male and seemingly a few inches taller than him. He's seen them before in the halls.
(Y/N) tried to ignore the person and slowly shifted farther away. He didn't want to seem rude and gave up after the person kept walking to him.
"Hi there. Can I sit here?" the person asked.
Not wanting to offend them, (Y/N) nodded looking in another direction.
"Are you okay?"
At first (Y/N) was confused what he was talking about but then thought about it. He was alone in the bleachers, hasn't moved that much in the last hour, and looks like he'd been crying because of his choice of body position. But he hadn't been.
He nodded.
"Then why are you up here and not socializing?" He asked.
(Y/N) sighed to himself, irritated. Someone can be okay and not want to do something. He should've probably brought schoolwork so people wouldn't start bothering him. But would he be able to focus with the noise?
"I'm not a socializer. I am just here because a friend of mine asked me to" he responded, "I'm just awkward at these parties."
"A wallflower, I see. That's cute" the person said back.
It doesn't help that (Y/N) doesn't know his name. He was kind of adorable and he wasn't stupid in the way he was wording his sentences. He could be wrong but so far, the person seemed really nice.
(Y/N) was blushing but the gym was dark enough to hide it. Now that's awkward. Blushing at simple comments. Maybe it's because he's not used to anyone flirting with him.
"Oh I'm so sorry!" he quickly said, "I'm just used to casually flirting with people. I shouldn't go assuming things about people."
Now that's cute. He knows that assuming things about people, especially regarding sexuality. He apologized too.
"Well that's just society for you. Assuming everything about everyone."
"Well I won't go and assume your name. What is it?"
(Y/N) smiled. It wasn't all that bad. He's having someone who is nice and kind talking to him.
"(Y/N)"
"I'm Darryl."
They continued talking and (Y/N) learned a lot about Darryl. He was student president, not that great with people, and that he had a dog.
Since it was getting late and (Y/N) couldn't stand being in a social scene any longer, he got up and Darryl frowned.
"Oh you're leaving?"
(Y/N) nodded.
"Ah well, see you around."

It was completely normal for someone to have a crush, especially if that person was a YouTuber. A fan would stare at the screen staring at the face of their idol, wishing that they could be together. The only problem with that would be the YouTuber not knowing who the fan was.
For (Y/N) however, he was lucky to be friends with BadBoyHalo, Darryl. It started as him being just a fan, becoming active in the community and applying for staff on Munchymc. He wasn't like Zak or Callahan and trolled him every other day. He was a legitimate mod and didn't abuse his powers.
He'd run events, ban hackers, and help build new maps to make the experience more fun. (Y/N) did it for the community, himself, but mostly for Darryl. He's already stressed enough dealing with the irritating memes and references being spammed at him on a daily basis.
Darryl was kind, too kind. (Y/N) sometimes thought that he didn't deserve all the friends he had because of their constant trolling. Darryl would feel bad for something small and then get super angry if he found out he was tricked. It was sad how some people took advantage of his kindness.
But not (Y/N). He respected Darryl, though rarely he'd get in on a troll to have a laugh. It was easier to keep a friendship if one was kind as he didn't want to be a jerk and ruin the thing that took so long to build.
He was lying to himself a lot. (Y/N) had a crush on Darryl but said nothing because he didn't want to make anything weird between then. That had already happened between him and another person he cared about. It wasn't going to happen again, hopefully.
(Y/N) looked on Discord to see if he was online. As he expected, it was red, meaning Darryl had his notifications on Do Not Disturb. (Y/N) didn't blame him as fans constantly spammed YouTubers for shout outs, friend requests, asking for op, or asking weird and bizarre questions.
Looking on Teamspeak, he saw Darryl in his personal channel for when he didn't want to be bothered. If someone wanted to be in the call, they had to request permission. It was because Zak playing weird things and trolling him every other day. (Y/N) thought it was annoying.
He chuckled to himself and decided to take the inner Zak and get on Twitter just to blow up his phone. Darryl didn't mute notifications for his friends, when though he should. (Y/N) smiled and began to spam the word potato because that would most definitely get his attention.
SaintsOfGamers is typing...
SaintsOfGamers: What do you want (Y/N)?
(U/N): I want to talk to you but your Teamspeak is private. LET ME IIINNN!!!
SaintsOfGamers: What's up?
(U/N): Let me in, then I'll tell you.
SaintsOfGamers: Alright, calm down. I'm a little busy working on a project.
(Y/N)'s heart started racing. Since Darryl trusted him so much, he wasn't expecting a troll. What (Y/N) was doing wasn't a troll. His heart would break if Darryl thought so. He wanted to be taken seriously because sometimes he wasn't because of joking around and weird memes.
He was waiting for Darryl to moved.
User moved you to their channel
"Hey Bad"
(Y/N) called him that because not many people called him Darryl. He also wasn't going to risk saying his name if he was streaming, though (Y/N) was pretty sure he wasn't since he usually tweeted hours ahead.
"What's up? Did you do something to my server???"
"I definitely didn't ping spoof it"
Darryl exhaled, loudly, into his microphone.
"I'm joking. Just don't earrape me."
"I don't have time for trolls. I'm working on a secret project for my fans."
(Y/N) asked him about the project as it might be better if they started talking about something else before he confessed his feeling for Darryl. He might not even want to at this point because of how much he was shaking. That wouldn't effect him speaking but who knows what could happen then?
"Er Darryl?"
(Y/N) intentionally interrupted Darryl's sentence to hear what his reaction would be to using his real name. He stopped and was caught off guard at hearing his name.
"Before you say anything, I just want you to know that I like you. I mean, I have a crush on you...I have for awhile now and just wanted to let you know."
Darryl didn't respond. Did he leave or was he just in shock at what he was hearing? Did he feel the same way or not? Why wasn't he answering. (Y/N) wanted him to say something.
"And I seriously don't expect you to like me or anything. I just thought it would be-" (Y/N) began to ramble.
His voice began to shake.
"Woah (Y/N). Calm down. I like you too. Not entirely like a crush way but I do like you."
Well at least it wasn't a complete rejection.
"Just give me some time to figure out my own feelings. I'm glad you told me. I could tell you've been keeping it in."
(Y/N) sighed. He didn't mean to but he did. He was relieved that Darryl liked him but still nervous where this would lead.
User disconnected from the call
He left (Y/N) alone in the call.

You laughed loudly as Darryl's Minecraft character fell off the map in a game of Sky Wars. He loves to boast about how he's the best at PvP and Bed Wars, and Sky Wars, and weirdly Tic Tac Toe, which takes no skill.
"I’m good at this game!” you yelled, laughing at the same time.
"You're cheating! You have mod or something" he yelled back with the saltiest tone.
You couldn't stop laughing and face palmed. He's accused Zak, Skeppy, of cheating multiple times in various games on Hypixel by saying he had mod. You didn't even have YouTube rank so how could he expect you to have mod?
He was recording a video while you were streaming on Twitch. It was a lot funnier to stream on Twitch playing Minecraft for some reason.
"You're just salty that I'm better than you" You said, as you killed the last player and won the game, "See, Technoblade neva dies! Oh wrong channel."
You reinvited Darryl to the party as he rage quit Hypixel. It was quite cute every time he'd say oh my goodness or anything salty for that matter. Like now, he's shouting at his stream to stop spamming the Japanese symbol for beginner and 14 and McDonald's cheesy fries.
Entering another game, you were prepared to make it be the two of you left in the game.
Once your character dropped to your island, you quickly ran to the two chests and took the wooden planks, the iron and diamond armor, ender pearls, and eggs from them. You waited for 15 seconds as two people quickly died from PvP and falling off the map.
"I'm coming for you CryBoyHalo!" You said, letting out an evil laugh.
"I'm getting bullied by my stream and now you. I have every right to be sad"
You hear him frantically clicking as he fought another player. He let out a loud sigh as the other was killed. You laughed a little as you looted the middle chests of potions and diamond swords.
"Where are you Bad?" You said in a sing songs voice.
You called him Darryl in real life but called him Bad during streams because then it wouldn't be awkward. BadBoyHalo and (U/N) were just online personas and that's how you two liked it.
Your fanbases knew you lived in the same house as roommates and many people shipped you two together. You dismissed the ideas and joked around about it but just said you weren't dating. It wasn't a complete lie. You and Darryl weren't a couple but the feelings were there and you were just afraid to do anything about it.
The last few players died, and Darryl was laughing as he was going insane. He was in a tough PvP against a player with a lot of armor and other gear.
It left the two of you.
"Oh my goodness" Darryl sighed as he saw who he was up against, "I don't want to go against you. I don't want to lose to a muffin like you."
"Oh so you're admitting that you're going to lose, okay!"
You scan the middle island for him and don't see him.
Well shit, where was he?
He ender pearled behind you and started to hit you. Quickly, you ender pearled a little farther and let your player consume a golden apple. You threw a splash of poison onto him as he started using a bow.
"A bow? Really?"
As he was about to respond, you brought him down to 1 heart, teased him by saying he was at 14 health and then used no weapon, just your fist, hit him once, and you won again.
"OH MY GOODNESS (Y/N)!!!"
"I win again." To make him even more salty, you began to sing, "BadBoyHalo is a potato. BadBoyHalo is a potato. BADBOYHALO IS A POTATO!"
"Shut up (Y/N)"
"Make me" you grinned towards the camera.
You used a webcam while Darryl didn't. He was a little self conscious about his looks and fans made it worse by the whole bald meme. He rarely would show his face on your stream but that was only if he really wanted to, otherwise he stayed in his room and either called through Teamspeak or yelled through the closed door.
"You cheated and have mod. Shut up, I won."
"Make me. You know I'm better than you at Sky Wars!" You teased again.
You could hear his groan through the wall as it was that loud. He slammed his headphone on his desk and stormed out of the room.
"Annnnnnnnnd he's gone! Okay! I, (U/N), am better than CryBoyHalo over there and--" you were cut off by him slamming the door open.
You jumped at how loud it was and you didn't expect him to come into your room while streaming. He NEVER did that.
He grabbed your shirt and pulled you towards him. As any other YouTuber, you had a chair with wheels causing the entire thing to move. Darryl leaned down and kissed you. It was both full of passion and anger because he's still so salty over the Sky Wars game.
Stunned, you didn't say anything, letting him kiss you on stream, with all (number of viewers to) watching everything.
He let go and walked back to his room like nothing ever happened.
Speechless, you just sat there, blushing so hard.
Darryl came back to the microphone and he said, "Did I miss anything?"
"Why did you just do that?" Was all you could say, leaning against your desk.
You didn't mind it at all, in fact, you wanted it but didn't expect it to actually happen.
"Oh it was an accident"

Waking up from a deep sleep, I realized what day it was. I didn't forget but sometimes my headaches in the morning make me forget things. I was always very awkward around him. I was still not used to being able to express myself in front of someone, let alone in a relationship.
It was the first year I was able to celebrate Darryl's birthday with him rather than online through DMs and Twitter posts. Actions speak louder than words after all. We planned on spending the morning together and the afternoon was for spending time and celebrating with friends.
He didn't want to make a huge thing but I think he wants the attention but because of YouTube, it's hard for him to take it seriously. Darryl can become afraid of his friends trying to troll him or meme around and at this point, he expects it. Well, not from me because I'm sympathetic and care a lot what he thinks.
It wouldn't be a healthy relationship if I didn't show I cared and respected what he wants. He's not fully out with being bisexual on YouTube. He knows his community and they'll accept it but he'd rather have all of BBH/Skeppy be where it is rather than fuel it even more. He's already a little weirded out by all the fan fiction and fan art made of him and his best friend.
I'm still very tired because I stayed up late working on personal projects and watching videos but I know it wasn't the day to sleep until 11:30. I pull myself out of bed and quickly let my headache fade and look through my closet and drawers for something nice and find some clean things that were recently washed.
We didn't officially live together because there is a possibility of a break up and I'd rather wait until at least a year or so of dating for him to come to my place. He stays over at my house half the time because we're both committed in that way. I feel guilty about thinking about marriage but who knows if we'll last that long.
I almost tripped on my carpet but caught myself on the door, gladly not hitting my head. It did not hurt as much as the time I tripped up the stairs when I got super hyper during a livestream of mine.
I could hear Darryl yelling as loudly as his could and I quickly went down the stairs to the living room where he was on the phone with a pizza box in his hands.
"OH MY GOODNESS SKEPPY! THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED FROM YOU FOR MY BIRTHDAY" he groaned and half threw the pizza box on the table.
Based on the box and what Darryl was yelling, Zak must have bought him a thin crust pizza and started trolling him while streaming. I checked my phone and sure enough, it said "Skeppy is streaming".
"It's kind of a funny birthday gift, I think" I say to him, lifting up the box and sure enough, it was thin crust.
Darryl was clearly annoyed, "Okay I'm just going to go. I'm not going to let a muffin like you ruin my morning"
"OKAY LOVE YOU BYE!" Zak yelled before hanging up.
Although I don't want to troll or mess with him today, I couldn't miss the opportunity to say something based off of what Zak had said.
"Oh?" I raise my eyebrow, "He's your muffin now?"
He glares at me for a second but then smiles, "Really (Y/N)? You know I call everyone muffin."
Darryl pulled me in for a hug and I rested my chin on his shoulder, still looking at the pizza box because it's funny.
"You're my true muffin because you're so adorable"
I blush and smile and boop him on the nose. He turns pink as well and does an awkward smile. He's adorable when he does that smile and blushing. I like being able to make him happy.
We had to leave around 2:15 to hang out with the rest of our friends and I wanted to show him one of the projects I worked on for him.
I go a closet by the stairs and pull out a wrapped gift box. He sits patiently in one of his favorite chairs of mine and tries not to look eager of what I had made him.
He opened it and was confused when he saw black and red fabric. Darryl pulled it out of the box and realized it was a jacket. It wasn't just any jacket. It was one I had made based off on his Minecraft skin.
He hesitated with his response.
"Oh my goodness (Y/N). It's amazing! Thank you so much! You made this yourself?"
Daryl almost threw it across the room because he was so excited. He quickly got up and threw his arms around me giving me a big hug. I turn even more pink than before.
For awhile now, I've spent my spare time taking pieces of fabric and sewing them onto a jacket I altered to fit the BadBoyHalo style. I thought it would be a cool gift to represent how cool he is and how far he's come on YouTube.
A couple times Darryl caught me working on it so I've come up with weird excuses and reasons for what I was doing. I wanted to make it a surprise.
"I'm glad you like it! It took awhile to get the detailing right and I kept making mistakes"
He kissed my cheek and I'm surprised because he never showed affection more than a hug. He's so cute and I love him. He doesn't deserve getting spammed with all the memes and being trolled every second of the day.

Stuck Watching (MatPat x Male Reader)
Title: Stuck Watching
Pairing: MatPat x Male Reader
Scenario: The Reader didn't want to watch Matt go through the death challenge but had no choice when Matt's name was picked. The Reader now has to stand and watch him and Manny fight for their lives. Who will survive this challenge?
---
Everyone is running in all directions, looking for the next clue. The monster that was once a police officer is growling and screaming he'll come and kill them. Each person is scrambling looking for these pieces to reassemble a green totem. Once it was completed, it would reveal what to do next to cleanse the artifact.
What made it difficult to do the task was every once in a while, the Strong Man would come back, searching for them. He would stay there for moments at a time making everyone stay silent and hide for as long as they could.
In his anger of not being able to find them, the Strong Man screamed and tipped over the popcorn machine, letting the carnival snack spill all over the ground. The white and red stripped bags flew in different directions from the small breeze that started. He ran off to look.
Joey hopped out from behind a game, full of stuffed animals and looked at the picture again. It was hard to concentrate when so many people were shouting and a literal monster waiting to capture anyone who wasn't fast enough.
Matt and Colleen took the last two pieces of the totem puzzle and placed it on top of the rest. Then they waited. The group didn't know what exactly was going to happen but they knew a clue was going to show itself.
Suddenly, a compartment beneath the platform the totem opened, revealing a folded piece of paper. (Y/N) bent over and picked it up with care as the breeze could possibly take it away if he wasn't careful enough.
"What does it say?" Manny said, impatiently.
"Shut up so I can read it" (Y/N) snapped back. He knew people would be impatient but he can't focus when those voice it.
Joey sees that the last piece of the artifact was hidden in the back of the compartment and pulls it out, holding onto it tightly. They now have the three sides.
"To cleanse the artifact, insert the fragments into the configuration and wrap it with a holy band of leather. To recover the leather band, A new strong man must be found. Choose wisely, only the strongest will survive."
Whoever wrote these instructions were literal with "strong man" and from the arm wrestling matches, it's clear who it was. But were they willing to sacrifice such an essential person to their team?
There were four possible people to vote for: Joey, Matt, Manny, and (Y/N)
Two would be chosen at random to get the leather band and survive while the other would be sacrificed to the Strong Man.
(Y/N) frowned as it they all had an equal chance of being chosen. He could easily be voted in for not contributing as much as he'd like to but he's definitely solved more clues than Joey when they were together.
It wasn't the fact that he might be chosen but the fact Matt was proven to be strong and he might be voted because of it. (Y/N) never admitted to having a super big crush on the detective but he's been subtle when flirting. Or not subtle if one is good at relationships and flirting.
It wasn't unintentional when (Y/N) said Matt was attractive in the jacket he was wearing. The yellow tinted sunglasses really brought out his eyes and face. The tie and pants were a little funny but so was Matt.
He didn't realize he was staring at his crush until Nikita started pushing him back into the arcade. Gladly, no one saw but now he was blushing and it wasn't exactly easy to hide.
They all hurry back inside of the arcade into the lounge. Before (Y/N) got too far into the building, Colleen pulled him aside.
"Hey (Y/N). I won't vote for you. You don't deserve to be put into a death challenge. I have three other men to choose from. Two are great competitors, very strong. The other one is a shady bitch."
What she wants is, when each of them plead their case for why they shouldn't be voted in, she's going to turn on Joey and wants (Y/N)'s help. If he doesn't however, Colleen will vote him in. Essentially, she's blackmailing him to get Joey killed.
Before the others can suspect they talked to each other, they quickly go through the hidden door and close it to make their way into the lounge.
The tension is now super high. Colleen wants Joey dead for being very sketchy and keeping information from the group. Nikita, while not being up for voting, is probably a target for voicing her opinions, and (Y/N) only wants to keep Matt out of the game.
They sit so the four guys are across from the rest. (Y/N) purposely sat on the end next to Joey so he wouldn't have to be physically touching Matt.
It's time for each of them to defend themselves.
"I feel like I'm a player and I'm good at everything and I've been doing things right" Manny says.
They start talking about the arm wrestling and how Manny was clearly the strongest out of everyone so it's just the logical choice of putting him in the final death challenge.
With a unanimous vote, they agree to have Manny be the first person to send it to try to get the leather band.
He was waiting to help Colleen but it wasn't her who said anything. It was Matt.
"I think we should put him against Joey because he's been acting weird and he's working for this league that's he's not telling any of us about."
That is potentially three people versus Joey. All (Y/N) needed was for the others to agree.
What made him even more shady was what he was saying next. He went on about having a "connection" to the town and they shouldn't kill him. Joey said they needed him because he wants to be able to fulfill his purpose and help out the town of Everlock.
"Liar" Colleen said, staring dead at Joey.
"How am I a liar?" he responded.
"You're a liar. I don't believe anything you say. You're the reason we're here in the first place. You know things you aren't telling us. You're being sketchy. Your friends are dying and you don't seem to care. I think you should go home because you are liar. I don't trust you."
She's said it.
If they all though Nikita was vocal, they thought wrong.
No one seemed to realize (Y/N) was there because of all of the tension between Colleen and Joey and if he should be chosen over Matt. Safiya seemed to perfectly fine watching them argue over it.
They all decided to separate and talk amongst themselves. This was (Y/N)'s chance.
His first choice of someone to talk to was Ro but Joey asks for her immediately. Instead he pulls Safiya aside.
"Listen, I believe we need to get rid of Joey. He's had the time to defend himself and to explain himself but he's still withholding information."
"I agree but why shouldn't I put you instead? He's clearly been more help than you."
(Y/N)'s face falls. He was almost certain he'd get Safiya on his side but now, he's not so sure.
He finds Ro and has one last chance to keep Matt alive.
"I understand Joey is your best friend and you trust him. But are you really sure you can? Colleen sums up the situation."
He's having to look down at Ro because of how short she is.
"You like Matt"
That wasn't what he was expecting.
"What? I seriously have no idea what you're talking about"
It doesn't help that I'm still blushing.
"You're blushing so I'm sure you do know what I'm talking about but don't worry. I won't tell. But know this means I vote for you."
He nods.
"You owe me"
If it means keeping Matt alive, he was willing to do anything.
Each of them return to the couch and wait for Calliope to bring out the three stacks of voting cards.
Joey starts tearing up and tells his story. He had died in the Victorian Era and woke up in Everlock. He signed a contract with the Society Against Evil to help save the town. If he doesn't, he'll die with it.
"I didn't know how you'd take it" Tears now streaming down his face.
"Pretty poorly, actually. So what you're saying is you're willing to trade nine lives, for yours Joey?" Matt is clearly angered at this.
He didn't want this. None of them wanted this. People are dying.
One by one, everyone stands up to vote for Joey, Matt, or (Y/N).
Votes
Joey- Matt
Matt- Joey
Ro- (Y/N)
Safiya- (Y/N)
Manny- Matt
Nikita- Matt
Colleen- Joey
(Y/N)- Joey
"I will now choose one person to join the Record Producer in the final death challenge"
She pulls out a card and (Y/N) is praying that Matt's isn't the one pulled.
"The second male to enter the challenge is...the Detective"
"Shit" (Y/N) hisses and makes eye contact with Ro.
"Here," Matt pulls off his badge that was clipped to his belt and slams it on the table, "There's no justice here"
They are taken by Mortimer into the arcade bathroom to change into different outfit. (Y/N)'s heart is racing and just hopes that Manny won't be as strong as he was before and loses.
The two return wearing a white T-shirt, red shorts, and a red bandana. (Y/N) wasn't surprised that both were looking pretty fine in the strange choice of a challenge outfit.
"You guys are going to come watch" Mortimer said and (Y/N) couldn't help but let a tear out.
But he was strong. He was strong emotionally and was going to force himself to watch, despite not wanting to see either go.
Outside of the arcade were different tasks to be completed. The first to win three of the five strength tasks will win and the other will die right there.
The first was to pull a tire from one line to another and with making it look so easy, Manny pulls it a lot quicker than Matt.
(Y/N) ends up griping Joey's arm.
"Hey! What are you-" he starts but then puts two and two together, "Oh..."
Next was throwing a metal ball are far as they possibly could. Knowing Matt and how he spent a lot of his spare time researching for fun, he'd understand physics and be able to throw it father than Manny.
Sure enough, his was farther.
You got this, Matthew.
When (Y/N) sees the third challenge, he knows who is going to win, and it isn't good.
Both had to hold up two buckets full of something and the first person to drop them, loses.
The clock is ticking.
Tick
Tick
Tick
TOCK
Matt's fall to the ground.
The fourth challenge was carrying weights to Fat Man Slim's and back. The weights didn't seem to heavy so maybe it was more evenly matched.
In no time, they start to run, breathing heavily. Manny slips at the end and loses because of the little distance lost.
Manny: 2
Matt: 2
Only one more...
Mortimer and Calliope carry the arm wrestling table again. (Y/N) already knew who was going to win this as it was shown not too long ago. But he is going to stand there. He is going to stand there and watch even if it will break his heart.
He's basically holding Joey's whole arm in a hug, that's how nervous (Y/N) was. Joey would've preferred him not but he's seen this type of pain in a deceased friend.
When the two start their arm wrestle, everyone is shouting for one or the other.
"YOU GOT THIS MATTHEW!" (Y/N) shouted and for a second, he could see Matt smiling.
But the words of encouragement didn't help. Matt's hand reached his side of the table, leaving Manny victorious.
This part (Y/N) couldn't watch. He buried his face into Joey's arm and what was worse than watching it, was hearing the screams of not just the Strong Man but what Matt was saying as his final words of life.
"FIND THE COIN! FIND THE LAZARUS COIN!"
Manny grabs the leather band and wraps it around the artifact. Matt's screams stop and does the Strong Man's.
It's done.
Joey physically pulls (Y/N) back to the lounge, who is now in shock.
No one else can know about my feelings.
In the 30 seconds it takes, he pulls himself together and force their way through the small door.
Safiya takes the pyramid artifact and places it in one of the cubic shelves. They all plop down on the couch and rethink their choices.
"I won, we cleansed this artifact, but did we really just mess up?" Manny said, looking at Ro who is clutching Matt's badge.
"Yes" (Y/N) responded.
To then holds out the badge for him to take.
