“Wow, Maxipad, looking hawt,” commented Ria, dryly.  She was leaning on a pillar, and had just witnessed him gracelessly tripping on - as far as she could tell - nothing.  It had pretty much made her day and she hadn’t even had to do anything to make it happen.  “Please let me be the mother of your horrible bastard offspring.  I think it’d be exciting to raise the antichrist.”

Ria had just gotten off work and walked into the street just in time to see Max.  In general, seeing him was not a good thing, but she believed in small blessings.  “Wait, oh my God, are you heading to the grocery store?” she inquired, hooking a thumb over her shoulder, in mock-seriousness.  “Does the golden god stoop to grocery shop?  Stunning!  It’s just like us mortals.  I am blessed,” she added, pressing a hand over her heart.  Does he eat, too?  What must it be like to be trapped in a mortal body?”

Walking up to him, Ria arched her brows.  “What a time to be alive.”  She put her hands on her hips.  She should have walked away, really, because time spent with Max was time wasted, but she could never pass up the chance to mock him.  “How’s your sister’s couch?  It looks so comfortable.”

Oh, yeah!!  I def think they would!!!  In fact, I was actually thinking that Ria probs always kind of had a thing for Ian but she also felt like he was too good for her, bc he’s actually a good person, so she never said anything hahah but like I feel like we said ~somewhere~ that they might not have seen each other as much once he moved to va beach??????  or at least that the kress girls weren’t in va beach that much after a certain age or...something hahha idr tbqh hahaha  So that’s probs been a non-issue since sometime in hs/she was 15 and he was 16 or so until she moved back but idk how much they’ve kept in contact since then/esp in recent years since he split?  But yeah she’s probs like WTH basically at him selling out and will probs try to talk sense into him hahahah ‘so what if your brother dies in two years? that’s that much time he has to hate his life  it doesn’t need to ruin yours’ ~ria’s helpful advice probs jk jk but yknow

could these two have met at school? I imagined Ria might be hanging at the prep schools since her dad made all the monies? Elaine definitely had a lack female friends in her life during HS since Liz went to (aka ABANDONED HER) another school. but anyway, they are friends?!?!? I feel like valerie toTALLY respects ria’s life choices to cut her parents out of her life tbh valerie’s pretty much done the same thing and i THINK that the main reason that valerie is still semi a part of their life is b/c of natalie, haha … and yeah val got a taste for what ria’s life must have been like for a hot second when she dated lex and valerie is def NOT A FAN so she 1000%%%%% has no idea how ria survived as long as she did hahah 

I also think that val really loves how there’s no bs w/ ria? like she says what she feels and that’s something val loves a lOT. she also loves all of the stuff that ria has done to people like max and lex haha tbh after she played a nasty one on max, valerie was probably like “you are my hero” and like she probs even helped her the next time and instant bff’ery ;DDD

post-valex breakup makes a lot of sense bc i def feel like otherwise ria would’ve been like ABORT MISSION ABORT MISSION @valerie when she heard she was with Lex hahaha  In fact, that could’ve def been soemthing that brought them together??? like ria recognizing valerie in a bar soon after the breakup and being all ‘her drink’s on me’ and like going up to her and being like ‘lex porter is the biggest jerk in the universe and let me tell you what: you’re so much better off without him,’ basically????
