I had the best time cosplaying and competing at The Games Expo Cosplay Cup last month - and showing off my version of @l-a-l-o-u โs early campaign Jester! I absolutely adore all the details in Lalouโs work and it was a joy to translate it to life.
I worked on her on and off for about 10 months, and taught myself leather working, foam work, corsetry and couching as well as fine tuning my pattern drafting and hand sewing skills!
My idea was that Jester would have taken her clothing at this stage of the campaign from the costumes in the Lavish Chateau - so the goal was to use lots of beading, trims and textured fabrics to give that theatrical/burlesque vibe! I also hand painted the design on the chemise, inspired by the paintbrush in the art, and made a fully posable Sprinkle plush.
