queer rep goes thru these cycles where every couple of years lgbt people are like "we get no rep in media and the representation we do get is way too sanitized and it feels so fake and flat. wheres the queer characters that are messy and flawed and REAL??"

then someone gets brave and makes a character who is a real bastard and makes all the wrong choices and is maybe even malicious at times and they make this character explicitly queer. and then fans are like "this is what you think of us?? worst representation ever" and the creator gets absolutely lambasted, ESPECIALLY if theyre queer themselves

been off cymbalta (not by choice) for almost 2 weeks, luckily withdrawals seem to be disappearing. just as I am about to be able to get my prescription, of course!!!

fuck Walgreens and my insurance and me, ig, for moving so everything is different. also fuck me again because my social anxiety is worse off it. even talking to the doctor I felt like I was shaking. so of course making phone calls is like impossible. which isn’t good bc 1. I have to make calls to fix the prescription issue and 2. I desperately want to try to make new friends and have people to play games with

not being on my meds, outside of awful withdrawal symptoms, really emphasizes how much they help me. after a rough year (I say, as if every year isn’t rough lol), feelings of dread and depression really come out. it’s always there to a degree, but at least I can manage it. with meds, it shrinks and I can cage it away.

doctor is also giving me prazosin to minimize nightmares and help me sleep and not waking up feeling absolute dread/anxiety (apparently found to be therapeutic for ptsd havers!!) so I’m excited about that :))))
