Really digging the style.
concept playlists;
youâre lying on mossy forest floors, slowly transforming into a nymph, your fingers are turning into flower vines, your limbs are bleeding honey & growing thick skins of sepia bark, wings sprout in between your shoulder blades. your breath sounds like the wind. fireflies litter the air above you
youâre hold up in an abandoned church, outside thereâs a raging storm & a horde of zombies roaming around, pressing up against the entrance doors. you & a small band of survivors are staying inside for the night in hopes to ride the bad weather out. you take first watch & listen to these tunes on an old ipod while everyone else tries to get some rest & the undead crawl outside, awaiting the taste of human flesh.
youâre in your boyfriendâs pickup. heâs asleep in the passenger seat, youâre driving without a destination in mind & you have the window down as you let the cool night air whip against your face in a state of pleasant delirium youâre on a rooftop somewhere, thereâs 5 am air on your skin, streetlights glint like coins at the bottom of wishing wells from where you sit. youâre feeling peaceful for the first time all week
youâre lying in the middle of a crop circle forty miles from your grandmaâs old house waiting for aliens to come and abduct you
itâs four pm in the afternoon and youâve got your head in the lap of the only boy youâve ever loved & youâre reading jane eyre & heâs sipping on tea & itâs the kind of weather where itâs just warm enough for you to pretend itâs summer & itâs drizzling & youâre listening to the rain beat softly against the windowpanes youâre curled up in bed as it pours outside, thereâs a citywide blackout and the last candle you had left has finally blown out, but you feel strangely at peace within the warm, all-consuming dark
youâre making out in the bathroom of a house party with someone that makes you feel like youâve swallowed the sun youâre standing amidst a city you burned to the ground. the apocalypse has come & gone. all thatâs left is ashes & mortar & sad bones but youâre feeling empowered. a slow smile creeps up your lips as you realize how youâve always wanted to watch the world burn you wander into wonderland and now youâre suddenly being crowned fairie queen, apparently thereâs a prophecy waiting to be fulfilled itâs mid morning but itâs dark outside from the rain. you thought the tapping on the window was from the rain but itâs actually a crow that flickers out of sight when you look directly at it youâre sipping on cherry cola by the pool on a lazy sunday & youâre feeling younger than youâve ever been youâre summoning old ghosts in an abandoned parking lot on a smoggy thursday night
You're not going to find your spirituality on the internet
Maybe thisâll be unpopular but itâs been bugging me a lot lately.
Online thereâs a lot of âmy gods are so silly I gave them fun nicknames and we hang out like buddies lolzâ
Online thereâs a lot of â[insert religion] sucks! Itâs boring and stupid and being pagan is sooooo much cooler! Iâm more fulfilled than theyâll ever be!â
Online thereâs a lot of trendy fads and expensive magick tools/altars/etc and people who will tell you who you should be even when it goes against your better judgement.
But a lot of baby witches and pagans will cling to the Internet as their only place to learn about their chosen spirituality.
Your spirituality is so much deeper and more meaningful than that. You, reading this now, YOU are capable of so much. If you feel jaded about life like I do right now, please log off for a moment.
Go meditate without any preconceptions or expectations. Just breathe, count your breaths. Feel the energy around you. If you can, light a candle and gaze into the flame. If you have any, hold a crystal and tune into it.
Go out in nature somewhere, anywhere, and feel the wind on your face. Breathe in the primordial earth. Listen to the sounds around you.
Your gods arenât silly playthings for you to take out of a box and amuse yourself with when youâre bored. Theyâre powerful beings who deserve respect and shouldnât be called on frivolously. Talk to them, give them offerings, but donât degrade them to âspooky toyâ status.
You donât have to spend a dime on an altar. You donât have to âlookâ a certain way. You donât need all the bells and whistles or an impressive magical lineage.
Donât shit all over other religions, even if you donât agree with them. Respect them as their own identities. Your spirituality isnât a trendy accessory to make you look edgy and unique. Itâs a deeply felt reality for you, something that drives you from the core of your being. Laughing at someone elseâs spiritual path is like pointing at someoneâs purse and ridiculing it because itâs not as cool as yours. Spirituality isnât an accessory, so donât treat it like one or you risk looking like you arenât confident in your own.
And finally, donât try to search for your spiritual path online. Study and learn there, sure. Ask questions. Be curious. But donât confuse Internet tags and Instagram photos for your own personal spiritual identity. The only way to develop your spiritual identity is by actively practicing, and I mean YOUR way. Donât want to worship gods? Donât. Uncomfortable with practicing magick? Donât.
Please log off every now and then to decompress and turn inward, away from the allure of Internet spirituality. Energy, spirit, deitiesâthese are all purely experiential things that require your full attention and considerable mindfulness. Please donât shape your spiritual identity around boredom or edginess or nonconformity for its own sake. If you found your spirituality because itâs not mainstream or you thought you could learn some magick to make you interesting, then itâs based mainly on negative traits like guilt, anger, or escapism.
Let your spirituality be a driving force at the core of your being, something powerful and good and absolutely enchanting because it speaks to your soul. Take your spirituality out of its conceptual phase in your mind and put it into real, tangible practice.
And sorry I ranted for five million hours I just have a lot of feelingsâŠâŠ
Reminder that women can be rapists too. When a woman rapes someone itâs just as disgusting as when a man rapes someone.

DIY: Brews and Potions
Witches standing over an open fire while stirring up potions in a cauldron is one of the many romanticized views of witchcraft. Today, witches brew many things for love, luck, health, wealth, and etc. Potions are a widely regarded instrument for witches. Potions are simply liquid spells that can be taken internally or applied externally to the body. Teas, enchanted perfumes, tinctures, and washes are the many forms these spells can come in. Some are used for healing, others are used in ritual or magickal work.Â
Kitchen Herbs and Common plants for Brews
Back in the day, homemade teas and salves were the only medicine available. Using these things today is still very popular and a holistic approach to health that treats the mind, body, and soul together. What you use does not have to be expensive, it can come from your back yard or your home. Many of what you already have you can use to make tinctures, teas, and decoctions. Also, syrups, tonics, waters, and vinegars. If you work with the herbs you have at home already on hand, you will be able to create your own remedy with a distinct local flavor.Â
The Power Behind the Plants
It is believed that many spiritual forces animate the world; called animism. When working with a plant or crystal, or performing a spell or ritual at a specific place, witches work with the spirits behind those plants or crystals, and call upon the spirit of that location to help them in their work. There is a special partnership and alliance between the witch and spirit, manifesting in forms of animals (familiars) or in the form of other plants, crystals, and locations. Over time, working with these spirits on various projects will deepen the relationship and the witch will gain information on magical associations, properties, and lore. These things often come through dreams, inspirations, or visions. The spirit will gain energy, attention, and physical shelter as animals or plants or crystals carried as a talisman.Â
Teas and Decoctions for Health
Using teas and decoctions (herb-and-water remedies in the form of conceited potions that your drink) is a very easy homeopathic way to get started. They are made with dried or fresh herbs, roots, or flowers infused in hot water. Cold infusions is used for tinctures, where the herbal properties are absorbed and released into liquids over time.Â
Decoction Method
For plants woody and seedy such as root and bark, use this method
Once the plant parts are boiled, place on a low heat and set to simmer for 15-20 minutes
After simmered, cool them and strain them, pressing the herbs through a cheesecloth or strainer
Ready to drink
Tea Method
For flowers, leaves, fruits, and/or stems of plans, use this method
Start steeping the herbs in the water before it reaches full boilÂ
Once the water begins to steam or boil, remove it from heat
Steam for no more than 5-10 minutes
While hot, strain into a container
Drink right away or follow the cold tea method
Cold Tea Method
Following all the preparations of the tea method, after straining, pour into a container and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.Â
Herbs for Teas and Decoctions
If using a tea ball, only use a pinch of each plant or spice. If using an infusion pot, or something similar, use approximately ÂŒ teaspoon of each ingredient. If you use root, seeds, or bark, use the decoction method. If you use flowers, leaves, fruits, or stems, use the tea method. If you use a combination of plant matter, use the decoction methods but then drink it iced following the cold tea method.Â

Tinctures and Tonics for HealthÂ
A tincture is a traditional herb infusion made with an alcohol base. A tonic usually uses either vegetable glycerin or apple cider vinegar as the base. The alcohol used in tinctures must be at least 100 proof, or 50%, alcohol, which is why most vodkas and gins are used. Tinctures can also be made with vegetable glycerin or apple cider vinegar for those with alcohol issues, although less potent and yet still effective.Â
Crafting Tinctures and Tonics
Tools needed:
Two mason jars
Cheesecloth
The herbs/plants/spices
Measuring cups
An herb grinder
Alcohol/vegetable glycerin/apple cider vinegarÂ
Tool to measure the dosage such as droppers for infant medication
Steps for recipe creation:
When preparing a tincture, the rule of thumb is you want a 1:4 ratio of herb to alcohol. If your herbs start to float, your ratio is good. Allow them to settle, and add a little more alcohol until the mixture is fully saturated.Â
Prepare the ingredients
Fill the mason jar with the herbs/plants/spices
Add the alcohol or alcohol substitute  (If using apple cider vinegar as your base, you will need to take the additional step of laying wax paper on top of the jar lid)
Keep in a cool, dark place for a month (some may require refrigeration, and that will be noted)Â
Shake twice dailyÂ
After 1 month, strain the herbal matter from the liquid into the second jar using a cheesecloth (squeeze the cheesecloth to get out as much of the liquid as you can)
After straining, fill the remainder of the jar with distilled waterâthis dilutes the alcohol, allowing you to ingest it directly
Ready for useÂ

Magickal Tinctures
When making a tincture for use magickally and spiritually, shake the tincture two times a day to direct your energy into the jar and activate the magick within the herbs.Â
Tincture-Charging Spell
Materials:Â
1 green candle (herb spirits)Â
1 white candle (spirit and magick)
1 candle to charge the tincture (color depends on spell)
1 mixing bowlÂ
Herbs and alcohol for the tincture (or alcohol substitute)Â
2 Mason jars
Cheese clothÂ
Ritual:
Place the three candles in a triangle on your altar or workspace. The white candle should be the top of the triangle (facing away from you to direct the energy out into the universe). The green and other candle form the base
Place the bowl at the center of the altar, and place your containers of herbs and alcohol on the floor
Light the white candle while stating:Â âFor the power of spiritâ
Light the green candle while stating:Â âFor the herbal spiritsâ
Light the colored candle for your need, and state your needÂ
Place an herb in the bowl, state a thank-you blessing to the herb, and explain why you are using that herb. Repeat for each herb, and as you add each herb, stir the mixture of herbs clockwise for increasing or bringing something to you and counterclockwise if you are trying to remove or decrease something in your life
Once you have mixed all the herbs in the bowl, hold your hands over the mixture and state your intent
Visualize a light coming out of your hands for that need (red for love and passion or power; green for money, success, growth and fertility; blue for healing; yellow for success; etc)
Pour the mixture into one of the mason jars and add the alcohol (do this at a safe distance form the lit candles)
Place the lid on the jar
Remove the mixing bowl from the alter and put the mason jar with the tincture blend in its place, in the center of your candles. Keep the mason jar there until the candles have finished burning
Shake the tincture, focusing your mental, emotional, and physical energy into the jar. As you shake, chant: âI can upon the powers green, Release the powers unseen. Herbs awakened on this day, Blessings in this tincture stay.âÂ
Shake the jar twice daily for one month, each time visualizing the need behind the tincture
Once the month has passed, strain the mixture into the second jar using the cheesecloth.Â
Now the tincture is ready to be used in magickal work

We need to take action!!
If you donât know about Net Neutrality well you need to know about it now. This is no joke or a game because if we donât do something living expenses are going be harder to meet.
If you thought being a college student is expensive bc of books and tuition imagine what youâll be paying just to do a research paper.
If you were against paying for YouTube red well it wonât matter bc youâll have to pay just to access the website. This goes for all social media sites as well. Youâll have to pay to access your email.
Forget paying for basic internet speed youâll be paying for packages that will only allow you to access certain websites. Itâs these packages is the reason why many cut cable and only pay for Netflix. To access the internet will become more expensive and controlled. Let that sink in if it hasnât already.
That is why we need to take action. And this post will make it easy for you to do that.

Listen, Iâm not saying the loss of net neutrality would necessarily be the first step in creating a dystopian future, but it could totally be the first step in creating a dystopian future.
It opens the door for service providers to just block sites that they donât like, or to only allow sites that they approve. Then that means governments can do it.
Free communication is vital to organizing a populace and starting a revolution. It already looks bad enough, but the loss of net neutrality would pave the way for a very dangerous future indeed.
This is going to matter.
A Starless Night Ritual For Letting Go of Guilt, Whether Warranted or Not
You will need:
Candles or lamps in your home
Timing:
After dark on a cloudy night.
The spell:
Outside, look up to where the stars would be, saying, âStars, thought invisible this night, yet I know you shine your light. The clouds will clear, you will appear, and I will shed this guilt and fear.â
Move you hands in and out slowly, palms vertical and facing each other, and create an invisible energy ball from the power in your hands. Toss the energy ball up high and say, âGuilt be gone!â
Go indoors and light candles or turn on all the lamps, saying, âLike the stars I will shine again. No guilt remains, for peace I gain.â

Witchcraft vs. Wicca
The difference between Wicca and Witchcraft can be summarized simply: Wicca is a religion whereas Witchcraft is a practice. That begs the questions of what is a religion and what is a practice.
A religion is a spiritual belief system, such as Christianity, Islam, or Wicca. It is a series of beliefs, based around observance to or worship of deities and/or spirits. A practice is something that is done, such as prayer, meditation, or magic. Simply put, magic is a practice and Paganism is a religion. Wicca is a subset of Paganism, and raising energy (casting magic) is the main goal of Witchcraft.
Really good first reading for a client with this deck, The Aquarian Tarot. The insight really flowed and I got the message straight away! ______________________________ #tarot #tarotreading #divination #oracle #etsyseller #divination #spiritual #newage #pagan #wicca #aquariantarot #wisewoman
