step 4. realize how that conceptualization only serves to reinforce step 1 and that that understanding is typically deemed fake, selfish, or manipulative when not propelled by emotion or abstract personal interest.

honestly idk if i'm a paranoid conspiracy theorist about the psych industry and all it encompasses.. but i'd like to see stats on moral ocd prevalence in women vs men, and how much of what's considered social/general anxiety and moral ocd are just the more tangible psychological effects of female socialization. especially with things like bpd being argued to just be the new female hysteria with how its handed out to women and girls to shut them down when they try to seek help or express the distress that is only natural for their circumstances.
