I had a sinking feeling I’d put off this blog for too long, and it was right. I really didn’t wanna let Morgan go, even though I could feel my muse for them starting to slip through my fingers...

Anyway, I know all of you guys aren’t obligated to follow anymore, but for those who can still see this, I wanted to apologize. I was really trying to kick myself back into this, and when I realized I couldn’t, I should have cut it off sooner. The reason I didn’t is because, well, I really love this group! Everyone is so so welcoming and sweet and I didn’t want to lose the wonderful friendships I’ve made.

But you guys are amazing, and you deserve partners who are as super into the writing and the characters are you are, and I’m not sure if I can provide that right now. I’m super super sorry for the way I started weirdly drifting away, and I wish you all the best! I had some really great times here, and I hope I can return sometime soon, maybe when I have my life a little more in order and my attention a little less scattered between a million interests, haha.

I’ll always be around back on my main blog and the same level as flitting there-but-sometimes-not-really on skype as always! I wish you all the best because, like I’ve already said a bunch, I think you’re all super super awesome. May your nosferatu tomes always hit, your killing edges always crit, your scales be tipped and your odds be evened!

Desert Heat || Robin & Morgan

Robin laughed despite himself. Morgan was certainly a character, but he spoke the truth. It was pretty hot and sweaty here, making their clothes stick. He pulled out a water pouch and passed it over to the younger man. 

“It’s atmosphere mostly. Plegia is different from Ylisse. Not just the environment mind you,” Robin explained, gesturing out to the desert before (and well all around) them. “I mean Plegia has always made me feel different. It feels sinister to me in a sense. Like something is waiting out there.” Robin shook his head. What a way to creep Morgan out. Not that he was sure that is what he did. Still the tactician didn’t want to unsettle the younger man.

“How about you? Do you feel anything?”

Morgan took the pouch graciously, nodding to acknowledge Robin’s words as he drank. When he lowered the water from his lips, he furrowed his brow, screwing his eyes shut and breathing in the hot, dusty air. It felt...hostile, the way that the breath stung in his throat. But the animosity was only physical. The wind may have bitten at Morgan’s face, but his mind remained the same peaceful, empty space as always.

He shook his head. “I feel...okay? Besides the heat and all. Still nothing in the ‘ol noggin.” He gently rapped his knuckles against his temple to accentuate his point.

“But,” He passes the waterskin back to him, “Your tactical instincts are more practiced than mine! If there’s something hiding out there, we’ll just have to find it, right?”

An Axecellent Trainer || Morgan + Titania

Titania’s smile turned to one of bemusement at the youth’s energy and subsequent explanation. ‘Another 'Shepherd’, huh? Still without sign of neither rod nor staff.’  Thinking over his words some more and analysing his coat, she arrived at the conclusion he must be a sage of some kind; perhaps that explained how he managed to travel this far alone.

“Very well then, Morgan. As it stands, I was on my way to examine some old equipment, including some knives which might be a good starting point for you. Would you care to follow me?”

With that she picked up the dummy and set off into the forest towards the 'training field’.

“Wh- really? You’ll actually teach me?”

Morgan hopped forward to follow Titania, a cheerful hum on his lips. He’d barely dared to dream he’d get this far, and now he was walking with a seasoned warrior, and she was going to train him with-

Knives. His brows knit together and he jogged to catch up beside her.

“Uh, you don’t have to underestimate me because of my age or anything! I’ve already been on the battlefield before, loads of times, with people with swords, and bows, and battleaxes.” He accentuated each weapon name with dramatic gesturing of how he imagined people wielded them. “So..you don’t have to go easy on me or anything!”

Long Live the King // Morgan + Chrom

Had it been anyone else, Chrom probably would have been suspicious. Something about the over eagerness and the manipulation of the situation didn’t sit right.

But this was Morgan; plucky young tactician and his best friend’s child. They just seemed so, well, unassuming. So Chrom brushed it off and played along.

Humming to himself, he smirked and spoke up “So Morgan, what was it you wanted to speak with me about exactly?”

“Oh, right!”  They laugh goodnaturedly, running a hand through the back of their hair. Shoot, they hadn’t thought it would drag out this far... 

“Um, a lot of stuff, really. There’s just so much I don’t know about, y’know? Like,” As they lower their arm, their eyes catch the markings on their sleeve. They may as well ask an honest question. “...Why are Ylisse and Plegia enemies, anyway? I mean, besides the fact that we’re fighting each other now.”

It was strange to Morgan, knowing that their heritage would likely be scorned by the people of their own country. That people wouldn’t trust their mother - who was most certainly the most loyal and trustworthy person Morgan knew - simply because she was born in the deserts to the west. 

The answer wasn’t likely to be simple, which means, Morgan thought, that they weren’t likely to hear the whole thing if their trap succeeds. A shame, really...

“I mean, he’s got that whole ‘mysterious attractive anti-hero’ aura, for sure. He’s pretty hard to read, especially with that mask and all. Can’t say I haven’t wondered what he’s like underneath of it, but it’ll be a pretty hard battle to see that. 

Strategically, a kiss would be a great distraction for snagging it, but I have a feeling I wouldn’t survive the aftermath! I think I’ll have better luck in the platonic route for now..”
