If these topics carry weight and significance to either partner, then it is most valuable and healthy to do so before engagement, in my uneducated opinion. The fact that the conversation was not initiated by Dunite should be a clear definer of her lack of care for the matter. If she wants something, she is clear and direct about it.

I will not speak of my opinions on the matter, as they are far too complex to explain in a timely fashion, nor are they positive in any such light. I digress, however, Dunite simply wishes to be happy with you. If you truly feel so compelled to do so, you can tell her of your conflictions with the matter- I shall inform you now, however, she will not have much reaction if that is what brings you such anxiety on the matter.

See.? There is very little to be afraid of. Sex is not a necessity by any means, and I am bitterly reluctant to say it should be an expectation in any sense, especially in a world where it may not even be possible to partake in such acts. I do not recall even one person whom has considered erotics to be a relational expectation, much less a necessity.

I recall a quote of Dunites a few years before she had met you. She said... "Yeah, sex is cool and all, but why have sex when you can have muffins?". It was rather comical to both Icia and I- and relatable as well. In fact, I have suspected Dunite to be a part of the asexual spectrum for quite some time, although she does not typically subscribe to such labels.

General expectations-? Do you believe she is one to desire such intimacy as she desires baked goods and snuggles with animals?

Dunite does not pay mind to erotics in any way, shape, or form. She is not one for them unless a partner desires such activities, and only then must such topics be discussed. It is not a necessity or an expectation to her, and it has not been for as long as I have known her.
