After returning from her holiday pin up shoot, Daisy was heading down the hall listening to “Someone in the Crowd” with a swing to her step. She was about to pass the blonde heading in the opposite direction, but the cord of her headphones got caught in one of corners of the box causing them to be pulled from her ears. “¡Ay!” She went to face the girl, but in turn, her elbow collided with the package. “Por dios.” She quickly put her hands on the carton to help Odette keep it stable. The whole incident ticked her off. It didn’t help that the song was getting to the best part before it was yanked from her, but she didn’t allow herself to blow up on the girl since her annoyance wasn’t toward her. It was more toward the situation. “Please, one apology is enough, chica.” Her then eyes fell on the box she was holding to find it filled with ornaments. “There isn’t anything that shattered, is there?” She asked since she knew how fragile some decorations could get.

Odette’s eyes went wider as she realized that she’d ripped the woman’s headphones right out of her ears. Ouch. If anything, that made her feel worse about the whole situation.  It didn’t help that she was beginning to sound like a child being scolded for apologizing too much. "I’m...right. There is such a thing as apologizing too much.” She smiled weakly at the other woman as she peered into the box. As she reached a hand into the box, she pulled out a delicate ornament that often hung on her childhood Christmas tree. “Hm, I don’t think anything’s shattered. I hope not.” She mumbled as she looked back into the box.

As soon as Hayden heard the Christmas music in the reception area, he knew some form of personal hell had manifested back into his life. He wasn’t a big fan of Christmas; never liked having to go all the way back to Mykonos to be reunited with his cousins and their pesky children, or with all of the aunts and uncles that doted on him as if he was nine years old again. And despite his claims of being unable to attend because of ‘work priorities’, his mother always found a way to ensure he’d be there anyway. As he made his way out of his room to invest in a pair of soundproof headphones to block out the noise, he bumped into a young woman, making him stumble backward. He shook his head, pinching the bridge of his nose as he checked for any fallen things. “No, it’s fine,” he told her, picking up some fallen tinsel. “I wasn’t looking.”

In her panic trying not to drop everything, Odette happened to tune into the music that was blaring over the speakers through the reception area. Lucky her, it happened to be one of her father’s favorite Christmas songs. She really needed this right now. "Oh no...” She mumbled to herself as she felt her cheeks heat up from embarrassment. The man standing in front of her looked like he was already annoyed with the world and that was the last thing she needed right now. Thankfully, he seemed nice enough. She reached out to take the tinsel from him as she tried to balance her box of Christmas decorations. “Thank you. I really wasn’t looking where I was going either! I mean I was but I was too wrapped up in my own thoughts to really be looking.”

Violet had her nose stuck in a map of the compound. She was still trying to find her way around what seemed like a huge complex. She hadn’t been paying that much attention to where she was going when she felt herself running into someone. She took a step back to steady herself. “Oh, no it’s okay. It was probably my fault.” She said. “Are you alright, all your things like, not broken?”

Odette reached out a hand to try to steady the other girl, her other hand clutching onto the box so tight that the corner left a mark in the palm of her hand. "Oh no! I don’t think it was your fault! I was totally zoning out and not watching where I was going! I’m really sorry I should have been looking.” Her cheeks went a little red from embarrassment. “I don’t think anything’s broken, no. Maybe a little shaken around, but hopefully not broken. Are you alright?”

The holidays didn’t get easier no matter what anyone said. Still, Odette was going to try her hardest to make her first holiday that was really on her own the best. She’d spent the morning shopping, trying her best to get her own decorations and had ended up with boxes and bags full of ornaments. There was no tree yet but maybe that was for another day. She was lost in thought about how she was going to exactly decorate her room when she slammed into someone who was coming down the hall from the other direction. The box she was carrying slammed into her side as she let out a cough. "Ugh!” She coughed as she scrambled to not drop anything. “Sorry! Sorry...”

Odette had gotten a little lost  in all the commotion but the text messages she’d gotten had caught her up. Clearly, this was all a game but that didn’t mean that it was any less nerve-wracking. She knew that there were some...unsavory people around in the first place. As she approached a table to get some food, she cast a glance at the person who was already there. With a weak smile, she said "Is your bracelet still normal or are you one of the lucky few?”

Megara nodded her head. She pursed her lips, looking around them, no one seemed to be coming in their direction. Sometimes Megara wore a brilliant game face, not giving away a single thought or feeling. This was one of those times. Why? She didn’t know what to think of the glitter girl. She exhaled. “We’ve all been there kid,” she told her. A small amused smile came to her lips. “Have you tried baby oil? If you rub your fingers in circular motions over the glittery places, and then wipe and repeat, that should do the trick” she told her.

Odette felt like she wanted to sink into the floor and just become a glittery puddle on the ground at this point. "Yeah? I mean have you gotten stuck with glitter on your face for days before too?” Odette wrinkled her nose a little and shook her head. “I haven’t tried baby oil! I’ve tried all other kinds of soaps and everything though. Does it really work for that sort of thing?”

Outside the convenience store, they had their back turned to the exit as they went to check the receipt. They bought a pack of energy drinks, cigarettes, alcohol, and Cheetos. They thought they estimated it correctly, but it ended up to be more than they expected. It was only until they were outdoors when it started to hit them, but they weren’t able to linger on that for much longer when someone bumped into their shoulder blade. They looked over their shoulder before turning around completely to face the girl. The glitter radiating from her was the first thing to note, and without conscious thought, their hand brushed over their shoulder in case any of it landed on their jacket. “It’s no big deal…Think you, uh, got enough to worry ‘bout.”

Odette was flustered from running into someone and for some reason, watching them attempt to brush any glitter off their shoulder made her feel even more flustered. "I...yeah I have to worry about craft supplies spreading through Astra because I was stupid enough to use too much for makeup.” She blushed a little bit and twiddled her thumbs. “Still...sorry.”

If there was a place more grimy and disgusting than the local convenience store, Adam had yet to find it. It’s only lure was right in its name: convenience. Adam had a professional chef or a professional chef like equivalent at his beck and call his entire life. A plate of food or a decorative platter of freshly baked pastries appeared before him as if by magic, made to his exact specifications and more delicious than anyone could ever imagine. With food like that readily available, Adam hadn’t learned even the most basic cooking techniques, like how to operate a microwave or how to turn on the stove. The boarding school he’d attended had offered cooking classes as an elective but he’d been too prideful to even consider it. Now that he was astra, the man had no choice but to learn lest he starve, hence his trip to the dreaded convenience store. 

Adam paused in front of the glass doors, took a deep breath, and then made a move for the sickening handle. Splash! It took a long moment for him to process what was going on. Girl. Drink. Wet. Slowly, he lowered his gaze to his shirt. He could feel the ever-present anger simmering in the pit of his stomach egging him on, but he fought it with tightly balled fists and the gnashing of teeth. “It’s fine.” No, it wasn’t fine but he had no idea what else there was to say.  

The look on his face was enough to want to make Odette curl up in a ball or crawl somewhere very peaceful and just stay there until the anger went away. But who knows how long that could take. Sure, he was trying to hide it well enough but she could tell that he was fuming. She probably would be too if someone spilled their drink on her. "I...sorry,” was all Odette could stutter out in a tiny voice as quiet as a mouse. How accurate since she felt about as big as one at the moment. 

It took a moment for her to compose herself enough to actually speak in a way that wouldn’t leave her feeling mortified. “Do you want me to get you some napkins? I think they have some inside! I really didn’t mean to run into you like that! I’m such a klutz I really need to watch where I’m going.” Odette pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling very annoyed with herself. First she couldn’t get the stupid glitter off her face, now this.

 Madden took a moment to look at what he was carrying, and after he determined that everything was as he’d stacked it, he shook his head. “Nope! All here. Can I ask what the problem is? I might be able to help.”

Odette let out a quiet sigh of relief, at least the man hadn’t dropped anything because of her. "Oh good! I would’ve replaced anything if it broke! But uh...unless you know a quick and painless way to get glitter off your skin, I might be back to square one.”

Tatiana wasn’t one to eat sweets often. She was a firm believer that too much candy would rot your teeth but sometimes a girl just needed some chocolate. That’s how she found herself running around the convenience store trying to decide on what to get, picking something, then changing her mind and needed to run back to the sweets aisle. It was probably her fourth trip back to said aisle when she found herself bumping into someone else. “Oh, no, no, you’re fine! If anything, I shouldn’t be bouncing around the store,” Tatiana said with a kind smile before noticing the glitter shimmering on the other’s face. “I love what you did with your makeup though!”

Odette was slightly taken aback by the other woman’s reaction to being run into. She didn’t seem to mind it at all which was probably a good thing. A small smile was on her face as she replied, "Oh, you have every right to bounce around the store! I should’ve been looking where I was going instead of being worried about other things!” The blonde blushed a little as she rubbed at her cheek for a quick second. “Thanks...I mean thank you! I worked hard on it for the actual day that I wanted to have glitter on my face. I just don’t think I took it into account that glitter isn’t easy to get off anything.” She laughed quietly.

Meg was a grounded woman, it took an awful lot to knock her off her feet, even in heels. However, she did scuttle backwards a few steps when the blonde girl on a mission walked into her. “No shit,” Meg muttered, brushing herself down. Her top black dress now oddly marked in glitter when the girl had collided with her. In fact her collarbone ached from the contact. She was sure she’d gotten off lightly though. Was the impact of a collarbone more painful than something hitting one? Meg made a face and tried to brush some off. Glitter was almost impossible to eradicate completely. She looked up to girl. Ah, the glitter made sense now. Gentle features sported glitter. “Ren Faire?” she asked dryly.

Odette stared for a second, flabbergasted. If she wasn’t so worried about the woman snapping at her for real, she might have tried to reach out and wipe the glitter from the woman’s shirt. Glitter was going to be hard to get out of any black fabric. The blonde rubbed her forehead as she stuck her phone back into the back pocket of her jeans. "I uh...yeah.” Odette chuckled, “I made the mistake of using glitter as a highlighter when I was dressed as a fairy. I was looking for solutions on my phone and I ran into you!  I’m sorry.”

 Madden was wandering around the convenience store in search of snacks. Alice was in a mood again, and he wasn’t about to put up with grouchy munchies today. He had grabbed nearly one of everything he could afford before heading back, and of course, wasn’t paying attention, busy thinking about what he’d bought and if any of it would go with tea. Of course, he ended up bumping someone. “Oh, no, my fault, sorry,” he answered with an easy smile.

Odette was flustered, she realized that the man she’d run into was carrying a lot of stuff. She was grateful as anything that nothing got on her because then that might mean a whole different kind of crisis. "Oh no it was my fault! I wasn’t looking where I was going! I was too busy trying to look for solutions to...something really stupid! Did you lose anything?”

Kelsey had used the final day of the Ren Faire to recover from all the madness, which seemed to be a good idea for her. She was bright-eyed once more, and ready to take on this damn world once more. She’d woken up a little past lunch, and lo and behold — she seemed to not have any food in her fridge. Which made sense, considering all she’d eaten for the past week was food from the Ren Faire. Sighing, she made her way down to the convenience store in just her pajamas, hair pulled up so she didn’t seem like too much of a mess. As she pulled the door open to the store, she felt her forehead knock against someone else. “Ow, shit, it’s whatever,” she said, rubbing her head and taking a step back. At the sight of Odette’s glittery face, she grinned. “Either way, wouldn’t be hard to miss you, Edward Cullen.”

The other girl gave off the impression that she could probably punch her in the face and Odette would apologize to her for ruining her knuckles. That made the fact that the girl seemed to brush it off something of a miracle.  "No, I’m really sorry! I should really learn to watch where I’m going! I was just...distracted.” Odette shrugged her shoulders and let out an awkward sort of laugh. “Edward Cullen?” The blonde pouted for a second, “I thought that it would be a good idea to go as a fairy for the last day of the faire. I just didn’t account for the glitter sticking around!”

Odette had thought that dressing as a fairy at the end of the ren faire would be a good idea. In one way, she was right. Her costume had looked great. In another way, maybe she’d used too much glitter as a highlighter on that day because she couldn’t seem to get it off her face no matter how hard she scrubbed. After another unsuccessful attempt, she’d decided to head to the convenience store for a drink since she didn’t have any in her fridge. Sometimes it was hard to remember to go grocery shopping. The blonde was barely paying attention when she walked out, a drink in her hand, too busy trying to look for a solution for her glitter problem that she walked head first into someone.  "Oh no! I wasn’t looking where I was going! I’m sorry..”
