literally all thor did was mope over jane when he was in asgard like he went to heimdall just so he could check on her probably every day and honestly he probably fell about fifty times harder for her than she did for him.

      he might be offended, were it not for the fact that       he found it hilarious that this man thought he’d do       the own preparation of his meals.

mechaniism:

     thick goggles warp his vision around him beneath protective plastic, magnifying       thor’s glorious locks and perplexed look. tony sets down the blowtorch, making      sure to switch it off before he does, and tugs his gloves off, anchoring the fabric      with his teeth as he shakes his hand out of one, then the other.      he’d be more concerned about thor touching something potentially corrosive,      or VOLATILE but hey, the guy wields lightning && thunder on a regular basis,       ––––  he should be JUST fine.                ❝    UH. I’M NOT entirely sure. that one’s  –––  kind of still in the experimental                     phase. it’s supposed to be a… uh, communicator. one that’ll receive signals                     in space as well as earth. maybe even on asgard.     ❞ 

      the possibility of thor touching something harmful is high ----he’s curious,       though he tends to be quietly so, and he doesn’t always pay attention to the       risks that midgard throws out into the void for any old god to stumble upon.       but yes, that’s just it ;; he’s a god. he’d handle it. 

      as for tony not knowing what the beeping sound is... well, leave it to him to       not understand his own machinery. never mind the fact that it’s ‘still in the       experimental phase’. though no matter how far along or how well developed       it is, the idea of it is certainly fascinating. 

            “ on asgard? how do you intend to have this machine                allow communication between entire REALMS? “

      She’d expected some sort of protest from the walking mountain but       instead he obligingly steps aside–and even holds the door open for her.       Chivalry is not, in fact, dead it seems. Grunting, she shifts her hold on       Bryant, moves him to the threshold, and then drops her hold on him       completely long enough to grab the back of his shirt and then boot him       out onto the pavement.

               “  Walk it off, Malverne! And I’m putting a replacement for that table                    on your tab!  “

       Situation handled, Quinn claps her hands together as though dusting        them off and then turns to the newcomer.

                 “  Sorry ‘bout that. Devious malcontents, alcohol, and poker, you know                      the drill. Can I get ya anything?  “

      he’s laughing now, all too pleased with the way it seems she       runs this establishment. her demeanour in general appears,       to him, to be quite entertaining. he stands with arms crossed       over his wide chest, almost with a look of approval on his face.       not that she needs his approval. that much, she makes clear. 

            “ be sure to remind me to behave, around you. “ 

      not that he’d have any trouble handling himself. still, it’s a       comment worth making. he’s grown better at reading and       understanding midgardians, and with that, he can assume       that she wouldn’t need to be able to physically throw some-       -one out in order to put them in their place.
