“You must say it,” though his voice was steady, in his heart it felt like a plea. He needed to hear the words. “Tell me, Penelope.” She released a shuddering breath, looking down at the water, then up at him once more. “Yes.” Her voice was a whisper at first, but stronger as she continued. “I wanted you here. To see you get in. To have you see me.” Penelope drifted away from the rock divide. She did not go further, but met his gaze as she leaned a little backward. Her breasts almost rose fully from within the water, droplets clinging to them, and he could not stop the small but sharp exhale that escaped him. His cock was straining now against his perizoma and tunic, and he knew from the way her eyes flicked down that she noticed. Her cheeks were pinker than before, but her stare held determination.

Do you think me so weak as not to hold myself together while my husband is gone?” “I don’t want-” “Don’t.” Penelope turned away from him, gathering nervously all her hair, veil included, and letting it fall heavily on her back. She gave him a second to finish, then answered what he didn’t dare to say: “I will be your widow, then. Yours.” He couldn’t. His heart shrunk, his arms weakened, every time he pictured Penelope sitting alone in a palace he had built too big. “I cannot make you a widow.” he breathed. “I am a widow, as for today. And my husband is still alive!” She laughed bitterly. The tears Penelope was holding twinkled golden in her eyes. Odysseus took her in his arms and pressed tight; Penelope’s maid looked away. How could a wedding proposal feel like a goodbye?

I didn't want to claim another prompt for the OdyPenFest but well. Here we are.
Odysseus imagined Penelope's most attentive face and, when Leda was walking away, brushed his fingertips against her folds, opening them up to uncover her pearl. He licked his other hand and circled her entrance before shallowly pushing in a saliva-wet finger. Just the tip, he imagined saying it, and had to bit back a laughter. It never stayed just the tip. Penelope gasped, soft and barely audible.
"You alright, dear?" Leda asked and Odysseus stayed his finger inside her. His other hand slowly petted her pearl, trying to coax it out of its hood.

It has been three years since you departed for the seemingly endless war, and the waiting does not get any easier. Every morning when I open my eyes, I expect to wake up in your arms before realizing the missing warmth, and the weight of disappointment crashes like the waves afterwards. Although, some mornings, I wake up to a small, yet quite loud, voice filled with excitement, urging me to wake up. Telemachus would burst into the chambers as soon as dawn with her rosy fingers makes her appearance. Sometimes, most times truly, he had slept in our bed.

He theorizes that Ogygia lives out of spite for him.
It’s the very first markings of a crazed mind, striking evidence that he’s truly turned to madness, placing blame upon not only the guiltless, but a thing — something that by its very definition can’t assume guilt. Ogygia does not decide on a whim to punish him for imprinting the evidence of his existence on her sands. She does not resent him when he strips her trees of their bark for another raft doomed to capsize a few meters out from the shore. She does not control the tumultuous waves that trap him on her land.
And yet, he despises her. With every fiber that makes up the shards left of his soul, he loathes Ogygia. He envisions torching her flora, watching each blade of grass ignite and burn to ash. He imagines blotting out the horizon with smoke.
Ogygia is undeserving of his ire, and perhaps he’s aware of that, but the daydream is what’s keeping him alive. It’s easier to revel in his violent fantasy when he’s under the belief that she’s personally scorned him.
Thus comes the theory. This unthinking, unfeeling island — it’s spiteful. It’s wicked, and it hates him. He has no choice but to hate in turn. He must rip the agency from his own hands if he is to survive.
It’s a belief not born of madness, but desperation. With the inherent overlap the two share, it can seem meaningless to draw a line between them.
It matters. To him, it does.
