I'm not going to out the friend I have that posted this but let me destroy your post for you. The US didn't even begin collecting taxes (with the exception of whiskey and glass windows) until 1913. The federal government didn't start federal assistance programs until after 1931. So the VAST majority of every immigrant family in the country came here before they cost the govt a dime. Immigration was as easy as standing in line and having them fill out an immigrant card (sometimes spelling your family name wrong: Barcellona) so it was pretty hard to be illegal. They ABSOLUTELY required communities to adjust to them. Have you seen Gangs of New York? And no, the people who come don't burn the flag you asshole. They're usually fleeing the people who burn the flag. The flags burned here are overwhelmingly burned by US born citizens. So, not matter what you thought you just posted these are the facts.
