his contract is like a birthday gift for him :D
writing down the names of anyone who said anything mean abt him this offseason btw not forgiving nor forgetting
we gotta make writing fic uncool again to remove the incentive to use AI to cheat at it/clout-farm and brother, I've been working at this noble goal for years
travis konecny i love you travis konecnyt i will live for you travis konecny i will succeed for You travis konecny TRAVIS KONECNY
Are you free from your curse yet i miss you
the thing that jon bois really gets about sports is. ok. all of life is creating meaning out of things that have no meaning. devon cooley voice nothing matters we're all gonna die. but of course all sorts of things have meaning, because we ascribe it. justice and love and collectible toy dolls and art and different coloured rectangles of fabric. and the thing about sports is it's the ultimate form of that. it says ok -- there's two guys hitting a ball to each other and they really badly want the other guy to miss. there's 11 women trying to kick a ball around with their feet to put it in a big net box. there's two people facing each other, one with a bat, the other with a ball. one must prevail. and it matters, because we make it matter. teams are arbitrary and the people on the teams are arbitrary and none of it means anything and you can't even control it! you can control only yourself, and a good portion of the time you're not even in the game, right, you're on the sidelines. and you throw your lot in anyway and say make this hurt. make this hurt and make me care so it can mean something, so i can flip it over and make joy. and it works! and that's why sports are everything
Men don’t go heyyyybatterbatterswingbatterbatterswing like they used to anymore
We can’t have anything in this fucking world
love this person knowing enough about baseball to know about the pitch clock and not enough to even approximate the league’s acronym
sports is not real. they just declared it
they just killed every player in the world. we are free

I am three minutes into this oilers locker room tour and they are showing me their auto sensor urinals that light up to indicate how hydrated you are or aren’t x
h*ated r*valry not only did irreparable damage to fandom containment but also introduced a bunch of people to sports rpf who do not get the premise of either sports or rpf
My rpf hot take is and forever will be that I don’t care what the celebrity thinks about rpf. Part of being in the public eye (and making money off the public interest) is that people will have opinions about you and some of those opinions will be that it would be hot if you kissed your friend.
However ☝️ rpf is for fans in fan spaces. Ethical rpf is not rpf of people who are okay with it (although I love you Dan and Phil) it’s keeping rpf in spaces that celebrities can’t easily find it. It’s keeping the real people and their real lives out of it.
