Well, at least there’s that.” An irritated groan came from Maribel at the mention of Republican benefactors. “If we get a Trump Hall, I’m leaving.” At the subject change, her mood shifter and became more relaxed. “Are the girls cute too? Wait,” She paused. “What gang rivalry? I can’t say that I’m surprised that you keep busy. You never learned to smell the roses.”

“Trust me, I’m trying to make all the effort to make sure a Trump hall does not happen.” Alana chuckled and shook her head. “Don’t leave me! You just got here and dad is so happy you’re here now...” She nodded. “Mm hmm. Lots of cute girls. Honestly, this entire school is full of gorgeous people. It’s a sin!” She smiled at her cousin. “You know that guy I hang around a lot? Santiago? Well, he’s the head of this gang and well, there’s this rivalry that’s big here in New York. I wish I knew the details to tell you but it’s pretty bad. WSU used to be dominated by the opposing gang and now it’s integrated so those members don’t end up in jail. Some West Side Story shit.” She chuckled. “I’m trying to loosen up more. Promise”

“If I knew that’s all it took. I would’ve just said that awhile ago.” Chase smirked, he loved getting under Alana’s skin. Right now, there was too much nice going on, and Chase was getting bored of it. He needed some drama. “Fuuuuuuck.” He groaned. His impatient nature was kicking in, and he knew just looking at the map that there was potential he’d end up in some sort of traffic or something ridiculous. “Entertain me. I’m bored.”

And there it was. Just when she was getting comfortable with the nice change in tone. She rolled her eyes and kept her gaze out the window, arching a brow when he groaned. “Can’t entertain you if you want me to be quiet.” She smirked and then shook her head before browsing through her phone and stopping at a song to connect through Chase’s bluetooth. “Alright. Fine.” She cleared her throat and began to sing to the song as soon as it started playing. “A scrub is a guy that thinks he’s fine he’s also known as a busta...” She fought a smirk as she went on, waiting for him to hit a red light to dance in her seat. “...I don’t want no scrubs, a scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me!”

She adjusted the bottom to her bikini, tying the straps at the hips as she looked out into the ocean. Was he really going to hang out or had she just missed him? Alana pushed in her sunglasses and a smirk pulled at her lips when she spotted Chase in his swim wear. With a low whistle, she praised him and chuckled. “Hey there, good looking. Put those guns away. You’re making the other guys feel bad.”

Chase was sure his stomach was echoing across the quad with how hungry he was becoming. Or rather, how hangry. “Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. My lord ya fannybaws where’ve you been?” His eyes rolled as he pulled himself away from where he’d been leaning. He smirked a little at her Calvin Klein comment. “Good lord Alana, he has a name!” Chase let his eyes wander her frame. “He’ll dig it. I see you took my recommendation.” He smirked slightly, clothed in his light green chubbies and a short sleeved denim buttondown. Chase uncrossed his arms and tossed his car keys a few times. “I texted the team, and some other key folks.” Chase shrugged, catching the keys again. “Damn cheerleader, you talk a lot.” The hanger was intruding. “Can we just eat, and then attempt to figure things out. I’m so Hungry!”

She chuckled as Chase spoke, loading his car and opening the door to the passenger seat. “Alright, alright. No more talking then. These lips are sealed.” She sat in the seat and programmed Chase’s navigator with the address to the Colombian restaurant, leaning back with a smile as he started driving. She was also ridiculously hungry and more than anything, glad to be out of the dorms for a while. She looked out the window, tapping her fingertips to the music playing in the background. She hummed along and looked over to Chase. “It’s just another ten minutes or so…”

She pulled her beach bag over her shoulder as she walked across the quad towards Chase. “You can help me, you know!” She chuckled and then murmured to herself, “Instead of standing there and looking like Calvin Klein’s next model. Jesus.” Once she was close enough, she dropped the bag at their feet and then placed her hands on her hips. “How do I look? Will number 23 be ready for all this jelly or will I have to find someone who can handle this?” She giggled and gestured towards his car. “I’ve got some blankets and towels. Did you invite a lot of people? Oh! We can get ingredients for S’mores before we head to to the beach! What do you think?”!

      With a quick roll of her eyes, the female shook her head. “Seems not.” Growing up in the country’s capital came with its pros and cons. Pros: you live in the capital of the country and have plenty of things to do. Cons: you never stop hearing about the country’s history and politics. “How about a Lincoln Hall or a Kennedy Hall? Or do we just have no good president halls? Do we have a Trump Hall?” Bel asked, skipping as she looked around. “Eh,” she shrugged. “I haven’t been here for long enough to like anything about it yet. What about you?”

Alana nodded. “Kennedy Hall. No Lincoln though.” She made a face at the mention of a possible Trump Hall and laughed. “Definitely no Trump Hall but a lot of our benefactors are republicans so you never know...” She shrugged at the question and mused over it for a bit. “Well,the guys are cute and if it weren’t for the crazy gang rivalry, it was be a great place. I’m pretty involved here with track and soccer and cheerleading so it keeps me busy. I can’t complain. There parties are legittt.”
