    Tinted lips pulled themselves up into a smile as he spoke. Truthfully, neither could she. It may have happened when they were kids but whose to say. Running her gloved fingers through his bangs, grey-blue orbs closed for a brief moment as she quietly hummed. It honestly seemed like time had completely stopped whenever he was around. At least, whenever they were by themselves.

    “I think the last time you rested your head in my lap was when we were kids. But, there may have been another time between then and now.” Seeing him in such a relaxed state caused her heart to faintly flutter. He’d been working overtime since his return but then again, she was no different.
