There are different kinds of darkness. There is the darkness that frightens, the darkness that soothes, the darkness that is restful... there is the darkness of lovers, and the darkness of assassins. It becomes what the bearer wishes it to be, needs it to be. It is not wholly bad or good.

A Note for Personal Blogs: Please DO NOT reblog my posts. It clogs up my notifications, and since this blog is for roleplaying, I need those free for thread replies. I'm cool with liking or commenting, but please don't reblog.
Content & Age Requirement: I'm well over 18, so this blog will have NSFW themes. (Given Rhys' background of SA, that's... unavoidable.) I usually just match the limits of my writing partner, so if you want to do a fade to black, I'm good with that. Since I'm over 18, I won't be writing with anyone UNDER 18. If you don't list an age on your blog, then we're not writing together. End of story.
Activity: I work part time and spend the rest of my time trying to find a full-time job, so my time on Tumblr is rather limited. I'm on Discord every day, so feel free to ask for my username. I actually prefer to plot/chat there vs in Tumblr DMs.
Writing/Formatting Style: I default to multi-paragraph, but I care MUCH more about the quality of your reply than the quantity of it, so DO NOT WORRY about length. I tend to write in third person present tense, but I do not care what you do. (Okay I lied. If you write in second person, that's really gonna throw me off!)
Plotting & Shipping: Y'all this is one of my fave things about the RPC!! I love to trade headcanons, discuss plot ideas and just generally squeal over our muses. Feysand is one of my all-time favorite couples, so... they will be endgame for me on this blog. I don't see him as having had other serious relationships in his 500+ years in Prythian, but if you want to be a past lover, feel free to toss it at me.
Interpretation & Lore: I've read all 5 ACOTAR books (the middle 3 multiple times), and I just finished the Throne of Glass series. I read CC1 and the first part of CC2 before giving up, but then I read all the crossover scenes in CC3 just so I can understand the Prythian lore. I subscribe to the theory that all 3 worlds are connected/are in different points in time. I adore all the theories and regularly consume them on TikTok. Can't wait to consume and contribute to them on Tumblr too muahaha. ANYWAY specifically for my interpretation of Rhysand, I... find the ACOSF pregnancy plot line to be unreasonably illogical (you can regrow wings and raise people from the dead with kernels of power, but you can't handle a fucking c-section?!) It strikes me as a way to sideline Feyre in the plot and a cheap "redemption" for Nesta with regard to the sister she has now spent decades abusing. To be honest, it really messed up Nesta's healing and development arc in that book for me. I also find Rhys' character arc (bending back towards secrecy and keeping major revelations from Feyre) to be odd and confusing. However, since the ACOSF plotline for Feysand almost entirely revolves around things happening with Feyre's body, I will accommodate my plotting and interpretation around it to the particular Feyre I'm right with. Her body, her choice, after all.
Mains, Dupes, Exclusives & Selectivity: I'm open to having mains or affiliates. I'm not ever going to practice exclusives. If you're a single muse Rhysand blog, I won't be following you, but I don't care if you follow me. If you're on a multi, and Rhys is one of them, I'll follow if I plan to write with you. I AM selective in who I write with, so if I don't follow you back, it just means I don't see our muses being able to interact.
Interacting with Me: If you're interested in writing with me, don't be shy! Send me a meme, like a starter call, or come chat with me on Discord. I actually prefer to do a little bit of pre-plotting for a starter call response.
Petition for all sane ACOTAR fandom members to collectively begin calling Tamlin "Tamtrum" as his nickname. I'm open to suggestions but this is the only one I've ever seen that doesn't rely on using negative implications for the female body as part of the "insult." (like calling him Tampon or Tameltoe)
I get that ACOTAR got people back into reading. I really do. I didn't realize people had STOPPED reading but listen, any reading is better than none you know?
But this 10 yr gap in people's reading history is SERIOUSLY crippling reading comprehension. And then it's taken to social media, and the insanity spreads 😭
Like ONE person said "I love Tamlin", invented a whole other story in their head about his apparent greatness and infallibility.... and now suddenly there's hundreds of women placing this literal ABUSER on a pedestal.
The amount of times I've seen:
"Well what tamlin did wasn't really that bad he just locked her in a house"
"Feyre is ungrateful she doesn't deserve Tamlin"
"They're so mean to Tamlin kicking him while he's down"
"Tamlin deserves a full redemption arc - give him Elain"
STOP. Like I don't care how much you love this weak willed man. THE WORDS SAY A DIFFERENT STORY.
Like I can say I love Draco Malfoy all I want, but I know he was lowkey a dick the entire series until he redeemed himself in the end. And he's mainly forgiven because HE WAS A CHILD.
TAMLIN IS 300 yrs old. The whole point of the romance in ACOTAR vs ACOMAF was to show Tamlin prioritized himself, HIS pleasure, HIS court, HIS image.
The romance with Rhys showed us how Rhys prioritized FEYRE. He taught her how to use her powers. Taught her how to read and write. Gave her the tools to become the powerful high lady she is today. He never trapped her. Never raised a hand on her.
If people can't tell that, and choose to go with their own theories, whatever. But it's specifically this flow of:
"I think Tamlin is the good guy"
"I think SJM is prepping us for a book where Rhys has been evil all along and Tamlin saves the day"
"You don't think that will happen? Well you're wrong. You're stupid for thinking Rhys is the good guy here. Idiot."
MY FIRST COMMISSION BY NONE OTHER THAN MAEDOETIS ON INSTA!!!!!
One of my favorite scenes from the series, Elain gifting Feyre the cake based on the dresser drawers. There's so much to this scene, and this piece, that I adore. The sisterly bonding, Elain trying her best to make up for everything to Feyre, Feyre getting a proper birthday celebration from a family member, the expressions on Elain and Feyres faces, the details and framing of the cake, it's just so perfect.
If you repost, please ask maedoetis on insta first and TAG AND CREDIT HER! She put a lot of time and effort into this piece and it's absolutely gorgeous and she deserves recognition for it if it is shared. She's my friend first and foremost and I will not be okay with people trying to steal even a crumb of credit from her.
I do not care if you tag or credit me I'm a tiny random blog and all I did was pay money the scene is sjms and the art is maes I'm just a happy little guy that has dreamt of being able to support their friend and see their favorite scene come to life in said friends style 💜
Who would have thought that the result of all the hullabaloo over the revealing of Katie aka oristian being a nasty, bullying fraudster who scammed many artists out of their commission money....
which became a pile on by bitchy, culty, self-righteous Gwynriels onto the two people brave enough to bring Katie's bad behavior into the light to protect other artists....
would be that we ended up with the trifecta of Archeron sister boob stan accounts.
If Tumblr existed in Prythian, I don't know who would be more excited about @feyrestits and @nestastits accounts: Rhys or Cassian. And honestly I think it's possible that they would be the ones running each account. (Not commenting on @elainstits cuz the ship war ain't my circus.)
Popping back into this blog and this fandom purely to put this awful person on blast for having stiffed so many artists she commissioned. And then trying to use sob stories to get out of paying, victim blaming, pretending like she didn't know she'd commissioned art.
NO ONE should ever take a commission from Katie/Oristian ever again. Not unless you want to do hours of work and get paid zilch.

I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Nesta that I don’t discuss a lot online because it’s always either “she’s a heinous bitch” or “she’s the greatest fmc to ever exists” and I don’t think either of these are necessarily true, especially not the latter lol. I’ve definitely found myself agreeing with Feyre stans in basically every argument made against Nesta because there’s such little Feyre defense in the fandom. I do definitely empathize with Nesta for how she feels about herself because I’ve been there, but I’ll never be able to grace her complete forgiveness because she hasn’t done anything to actually make up for the psychological abuse she inflicted on Feyre. Not once is there a sincere apology for what she did to her growing up, nor for how she speaks to her TODAY in canon.
The main criticism I have for sjm’s writing (bc some of you act like she’s the worst writer to ever exist which is sooooo LOL to me but whatever) is how she approached Nesta in HOFAS. No I don’t like acosf, and I think the book could’ve been way better than what it was but I think Sarah went into it with the idea of I’m going to show Nesta’s trauma, give you the pov of someone who doesn’t like Rhys (bc as someone who loves him, that perspective intrigued her), and introduce the plot that is to unfold in the remaining books. Some may think that’s too gracious of me but if you think about it that way and read acosf she essentially hits all of those points. Whether I like the book or not, it did what she had seemed to set out to do. Liking it or not does not make her a bad writer, you just didn’t like the direction she took it. I didn’t, therefore it’s my least favorite book. It’s that simple.
However with HOFAS, she lost me with Nesta once again. By the end of acosf I thought ok, this was a great turning point for her character and she seems like she could really become a better sister to not only Feyre, who again still deserves an apology, but also Elain. I mean she literally called her a fucking dog in a fit of anger when Elain was trying to extend a hand to her, and then never apologized. But in HOFAS, while yes her perception was from Bryce’s POV, she was STILL shit talking Rhys and Feyre. To Azriel and a fucking stranger. For NO reason. I felt so much whiplash when I read that because I just left with this feeling that this lady is never going to learn from her mistakes and she’ll never truly feel remorse for how she treats the sisters, the one who kept them alive, and the one who stood by her through everything.
Something that I feel a lot of Nesta stans gloss over when discussing her treatment of Feyre is that she explicitly states that when she hears the voices in her head criticizing her and telling her she’s worthless, it’s Nesta’s voice she hears…because Nesta was the one who used those words to cut her down, all because she was bitter that Feyre was the one who stood up and took care of the family. She felt undeserved resentment because she didn’t do what Feyre could. As someone who had a mother that treated me the way Nesta treats Feyre, and as someone who is an older sister and would never in my life speak to my sister that way because I actually love her, I cannot get over this without some sort of sincere apology. And Feyre never got one. Women in this fandom will use the “I’ve said awful things to my sister too” as an excuse and I’m sorry but that’s massive cope.
So basically I don’t hate Nesta, I think she still has apologies that she needs to give especially to Feyre. Until that happens though, I as a reader cannot forgive her poor behavior, and HOFAS cemented that for me. In that book she doesn’t appear to have made a lot of progress that I thought we would see post acosf, and I hope we see more of it in Elain’s book or in the final book. I don’t need her to kiss Rhys’s ass, but I do expect her to show respect and love for her younger sister, who again, never did anything to warrant the abuse that Nesta inflicted on her. This series is still ongoing so we could see more change with her as time goes on, but at this point in the story I can’t grant her a whole lot of grace.
I think a lot of people don’t realize that Nesta and Elain, and I’m not saying this to be rude, I am stating the facts, are not actual FMCs of this series. Just because they get one POV in one book, it does not make them co-leads of the series. This series is Feyre’s story, and her sisters are getting perspectives because, yes sjm wanted to expand on them as characters, but to also fulfill a prophecy that was alluded to in acomaf. Why else would they have been turned Fae? It’s very simple lol. But again that’s another convo.
Anyway I hope you guys can see where I am coming from. I know a lot of my mutuals will agree but yeah I am not going to call Nesta evil, but I’m also not going to pretend as though she has showed genuine remorse for what she’s done to Feyre. I will always defend Feyre first because yes she is my fave but because she deserves a fucking apology.
this is by far one of my favorite details about rhysand’s character in acomaf. the fact that the citizens of velaris greet him so warmly and clearly admire rhys so much, and he cares to know everyone’s names and definitely makes them feel special. the fact that everyone is comfortable enough to address him by his name. the people’s prince loved by all 🧸
Yeah guys. Rhys is such a terrible, evil, despotic ruler that…. His citizens feel comfortable approaching him for a casual chat, shaking hands, etc. And he… knows their names?
“Do not condescend to her. Do not insult Feyre for speaking with her heart, with compassion for those who cannot defend themselves, when you speak from only selfishness and cowardice.”
