hey everyone! so i got a really important question.
i am not on this blog lately as you may have noticed. that of course has a reason. i have a multimuse where most of my muses are now - each of them on sideblogs. i really want to keep writing mariana and have muse for her but i seem to never log out of there. now, the question is:
should i move my mariana to the sideblog @wontlctgo or should i stay on this, separate blog and hope that one day i will log out of my multimuse and return properly?
please let me know on this poll

There is a frown on Mariana’s face and she gets what was the point of this talk just now. Wait. She was not going to let that happen. As much of a bad man her father was - As much of a bad thing he did to Clementine and her baby, she could not bear having her father being “dealt with”. That meant something that Mariana would stop herself if she had to.

Mariana couldn’t help but smile when her uncle spoke up. It happened often that the young girl would scoot close to Javi when they were sleeping - Especially when she experienced a nightmare, or something traumatic before the little family of theirs decided to lay their heads to sleep. It happened more and more frequently - And a certain amount of times it didn’t even happen because Mariana felt uncomfortable or feared something: Simply because she wanted to be close to her uncle - Feel someone’s body warmth close to hers, hear a heartbeat to make her believe; They were going to be alright. They still had a chance to live.
A chuckle escaped her lips as she scooted closer to him, so close that her head was laying against his chest, her short arm wrapped around his body.
❛ There is no need to be upset. I can always change that.❜ The young girl whispered with amusement in her voice - Just in case the rest of their family was sleeping already.
It was always nice to sleep close to Javi.

Maybe the whole situation wouldn’t have been as dramatic if he had actually been at the main settlement when she showed up. However, that wasn’t the case, and Joan had seemed more than happy to inform that a little girl was sitting in quarantine currently, who had the same name and surname as his daughter. His dead daughter, as far as David knew, seeing as it had been years since he last saw his family.
In that moment, his legs seemed to be rooted to the spot as his mind raced for some logical reason, that it had to be coincidence, but it didn’t stop him from pivoting and exiting right back out the door he had just entered to head down towards the holding area. On the chance that this leg wasn’t being pulled, he made a note to say something about keeping her down there for who knows how long.
Once he had reached the building and went down into the stairwell, he seemed to pause somewhat. A part of him warned that his gut feeling about his family was probably right, and that he shouldn’t get his hopes up like this—and more notably to talk to Joan about playing this up for him. Yet, as he opened the door to the room and saw the girl sitting there, the expression on his face fell into shock, his eyes widening as he stood with his hand holding the door open.
“…Mariana?”
The past couple days have been rough on Mariana. She was being separated from her family when her uncle was kidnapped and the horde of the dead just reached the junkyard they were hiding at. She knew Javier told her to hide in one of the cars and not come out - And that’s what she did ... For a while at least. It was after a decent amount of time that the young girl peeked out of the car not seeing, or even hearing anything, or anyone.
She had to leave. Mariana knew that the people attacking them would come back sooner or later and she would not get out of it good ---- Or alive for that matter. The van was there: In it’s destroyed state, unable to use it anymore. The girl opened one of the doors to get some of the food - The supplies out of the vehicle that they had and head out on her own. Try to find a safe spot. A safe place---- Look for her family.
She was tired. Her emotional and physical state were both worn down when she spotted a city. She didn’t want to have a bath anymore or a candy bar --- That would be a miracle. What she was craving was a good night’s sleep, a moment of peace not worrying about being eaten by the muertos out there. Mariana ended up approaching the city, going further to find people marching around and following them to the gates of a survivor-city, or something like that. She was slow to go near the place, but the young girl has never felt more relieved than hearing the men say she can come in; even if only to quarantine until they made sure she was clean. Nice things were happening to her, after all.
It’s been at least half an hour. An actual seemingly awful lot of time passing until she was in there - But it was quiet. It was calm and being alone inside four walls made her feel protected enough. Safe enough to sit down, rest her head against a wall and relax. Things were finally looking up for her ---- As long as the leaders of this place accepted her as one. She hoped they would. -
Mariana opened her eyes again when she heard a door open. Did someone finally come to check on her? Can she say something in her favor and maybe get a place to sleep and wash off the dried up blood, the dirt, the filth off of her body? ----- Then the girl’s eyes wandered to the body of the man in front of her and her jaw dropped, eyes widening. No. That couldn’t be real. She raised her head - Straightening her spine and moving to stand up from where she sat.
❛ Dad?❜ She asked back, her voice disbelieving. This must have been a joke. She must have died -- There wasn’t a safe place that let her in so easily, and her father wasn’t just standing right in front of her. Strangely, the knots from her stomach did not disappear, they only turned tighter - Her throat suddenly feeling dry, her heart seemingly not knowing how to deal with the situation. Excited. Nervous. Happy. -- She was all of that.
