Poem: The Girl in the Mirror (TW: Body Dysmorphia)
There she is- the girl in the mirror; She’s starving for perfection. She swims in her clothes- Can’t you see her pain? The pain of a person Dying to be thin?
Do you see her tear-streaked face? Her eyes are so swollen and red. She screams out at the world, But it ignores all her pain; So she stands alone, And she cries In her mirror.
