Just what she needed. Not content to shout at her alone, Mr. Madsen had apparently sent someone else to shout at her in his place. Kate was actually starting to geta grip for once, when this guy came and reminded her of her horrible experience with Madsen yesterday.

“Well, tough shit.” He said. He didn’t see what this girl could have possibly done. Apparently she got drugged up or drunk at a party and made an ass of herself. She didn’t seem the type. Jay was a pretty good judge of character (if he said so himself) and this girl was no party animal. Why were they even looking into this? If it happened at some school party, her parents should sue the shit out of Blackwell. Then again, maybe that’s why security and administration cared. They wanted to build a case against her. Typical. “What can you tell me about that party? The one from that video?” The old assholes running this place were probably disturbed by the EVIL video, and he bet Madsen and Wells were jacking off to it too. Probably trying to punish this girl to make it up to god that they had a wank to a club video.

She’s clearly not surprised to hear it, honestly- her only thoughts on the drug transport rumor were that someone else she was fucking saw her with Frank; that’s the only answer, right? She had to be pushing drugs or something, obviously. She chooses not to elaborate on this further.

Jay didn’t feel like explaining how he was looking to get into business with whoever HAD drugs. He didn’t want to lose his shitty job. Instead, he just crossed his arms. She was pretty, didn’t really look like a “popular” girl to him. Guess this town was different.

DC was hardly fit to have a conversation right now. His brain blocked out by chemical impulses. He figured that this was what the Sons meant when they talked about the ‘Call of the Loa.’ an absolute detachment from the physical one and a marriage to a spiritual plane way above the troubles of the earth. The trouble with this detachment came when the physical plane tried to interfere with you while your soul was away. He didn’t know who this guy was, but he wasn’t happy with him trying to pull him away from his enlightenment.

“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

The rage that Jay felt was one he hated to feel towards one of his own people. DC was a fucking idiot. Despite only being a little younger than Jay, it felt like dealing with a child. Maybe that’s what happened to spoiled rich brats, they stayed kids way longer. He was sick of DC being stoned all the time. This wasn’t pot, though. Jay had plenty of pot heads for friends, and he even smoked it from time to time. This was something a lot stronger. It reminded him of his mum, back when she was alive. What the fuck had DC gotten into now? If Jay was smart, he’d just let DC rot. Kick him out of the gang, tell him to never show his face in their territory. Let him become another useless junkie waiting to OD or starve on the streets. But Jay wouldn't turn on one of his own, even if he was a MORON. He grabbed the boy by his shoulders, give him a strong shake.

Jay chuckled. Shaundi mentioned some voodoo bullshit, but he wasn’t concerned. If voodoo was real, they’d probably have legit proof by now. And same goes for any black magic. The idea of a bunch of tweakers pretending they could do magic was fairly predictable.
