     Aside from the instruments she had seen around the Land of Ogres, which was almost far and few between, but mainly traditional, Shion had never actually heard of such an instrument. Though she could imagine it must have sounded nice-- At least, if this person wanted to learn it, it had to have right? She hummed absentmindedly within her own thoughts. That was quickly shattered as soon as he spoke to her again.

     ‘ Huh? Y--Yes, I do have things I need to do! You just distracted me with this music business. ‘

     The other seemed to be staring at her eyes for an uncomfortable amount of time when she started. Shion almost immediately pulled away, now keeping them to the ground. ‘ What? Is-- Is there something in my eyes?

     Her face flushed at his words. Yes, in hindsight, maybe that would have been the easiest route for a situation like this. She hadn’t really thought about that though, clearly. With a loud huff, her hands rested firmly against her hips, violet hues sizing up Shinobu.

     ‘ Still in my way though-- ‘ She paused, an unfamiliar sense of curiosity heightening about something. ‘ What were you doing just standing around here anyway. ‘

          “Thanks.”

          Sakura took the towel she’d been offered, wrapping the cloth around her body before storing her clothing away in one of the lockers. Sure the everything was put away, the pinkette joined Shion at the entrance to the bath house, walking out into the public area first before gesturing for the blonde to follow her. She led the other girl to one of the remaining empty pools, casting her towel away before she sank into the welcomed heat of the water.

           “C’mon in, the water’s great, Shion. Just keep your towel close by for when you get out.”

          The pink haired kunoichi leaned against the wall of the pool, emerald eyes closed as she allowed herself to relax. It’d been a very long three weeks. Between all the shifts she’d picked up at the hospital and the various missions she’d taken out of the village, Sakura felt that she earned this. Not to mention it also gave her a chance to really get to know Shion. Help her understand the priestess just a bit better and wash away the sour taste she’d left in her mouth after that mission a few years previous.

     It took a little bit for Shion, but she slowly made her way in after Sakura, her eyes wandered around the room for a bit-- Only to snap back forward as she was addressed by the pinkette again. Silently, the priestess made her way over to the pool that the other was in. Once she got in, she practically melted against the wall herself, body only sinking in lower to the warm water.

     ‘ You were right... The water is lovely, like I could just stay here forever. ‘

     Much better than how her baths were like back home. Those were mostly-- Well, cold, done by a waterfall. Now that she thought about it, it was more a purification process to her than a bath. But the concept was almost the same. Shaking the thought from her mind, Shion moved across from where she originally positioned herself to sit next to the other. She’ll admit, this was going better than she’d expected so far. Maybe this girl’s night thing won’t be so bad after all.

           Sakura hadn’t forgotten her last encounter with the priestess. But that had been a while ago and what really was the point in holding on to the irritation that had come with that mission? The girl hadn’t really known better, she’d lived a life of isolation for so long; barely having any human contact due to the fear of her gift. But now that they had all grown old, an din some cases, wiser, Sakura decided that she was going to try and get to know the girl. And what better way to do so than a girl’s night?

          “Don’t worry about that. I’ll cover for you if you mistakenly insult someone. We’ll work on your socializing skills some tonight when we go back to my house.”

          Her thick obi was removed from her waist; folded over and placed on the bench beside her gloves. Her cheongsam was removed next followed by the shorts she’d been wearing leaving the pinkette in naught but her underwear as she brush her short hair back in a ponytail. She pointed with her hand that held the hair tie to the stack of towels. “The towels are over there. Grab one before you go in.”

     She did appreciate the gesture. Since everything that happened back then, Shion had tried her best to talk more, smile more. Just generally try to be a little more pleasant and approachable so her own people wouldn’t fear her anymore. Granted, it was still a rather slow work in progress, sluggish one would say, but she was putting in effort. And it was good enough for what it was. Though a few extra pointers here and there would be nice... And so would the cover up for any and all potential mistakes.

     ‘ That... Yeah, that would be great, thanks. ‘

     That said, she took a moment to slip off what she had. Her long blond hair was carefully braided over her shoulder before she went and tied it into a bun. Quickly, she moved to put everything away and grab a fresh towel from the pile. Two of them, actually, she held the other one out to Sakura. ‘ Here, since I was over there anyway, I figured I’d get you one too. ‘ With that said, Shion slipped away to the entrance and waited for the pinkette to join her. No way was she going in by herself.

     Being of the standing she was, Shion never really allowed herself to leave the Land of Ogres for anything. However, that didn’t mean she wasn’t open to the idea, should it ever be presented. And today just happened to be the day. One of her guards had decided she should get out and see other places. The reasoning, it would be good to let others know about the land and all that it could provide. She couldn’t really say no to that.

     Thus, she made her way to new and unexplored territories. One of these stops, was a place that was familiar to her, Konoha-- Home of people she now thought she could consider allies, perhaps friends. She stepped inside, her eyes glancing at all the buildings, all the people. This place was far bigger than her own village. She had gotten so lost in her thoughts and the surroundings, she hadn’t thought to look in front of her. This sent her almost slamming into someone, an unintentional growl escaped her right then.

     ‘ Ugh... What the--? ‘

     She wasn’t going to really argue with Sakura anymore about this-- Not that was really able to anyway. Just, this was rather odd to her. Of all the people from that mission a long while back, shouldn’t Sakura have some kind of dislike for her? Given the treatment she gave the pink haired female? She shrugged off the notion, trying to think to herself that this was a night to be enjoyed, not shunned.

     Which she was better at than she’d really like to admit--

     ‘ Alright, alright... ‘ She sighed, allowing herself to be dragged in before her hand came back to her side once they were in. Violet hues looked around the place for a moment. She’d never really... Been to a public bath house. Always had to use a private one, ever since she could remember. This place was nice, and full of people and laughter. She’ll probably take a liking to this when it’s over. ‘ I guess you have a point. But just know: I’m still not really good at proper interaction outside of what I have to tell people normally. ‘

K wow shit I really need to get activity on Shion going again. She has been dead for way too long... Guess that foresight comes in handy.
