before long, her curiosity tugs at her. she wants to explore, both the house and her fellow castmates, so why not kill two birds with one stone? to a small circle that’s migrated to the kitchen island, she poses the question, “would anyone care to join me on a tour? i want to find the best hiding spot.”
ro's ears immediately perked up at the offer. "i'm in," she declared, making her way over to the other. "might not want to share it with too many people though." she admitted, placing her hands into the pockets of her skirt. the idea of a lesser known place to take a breather (or have fewer eyes on you) sounded refreshing to say the least. "there's a spot outside i saw." she glanced over at the other, matching her gait. "looking for something specific in a hiding spot?"
a few sips of alcohol in their system, and ro's rattling nerves had settled very slightly. either that, or had been drowned out by the noise in the house. they glanced over at a nearby friendly face, a smile spreading across their features they turned slightly towards her. "i'm still waiting for the producers to spring something on us -- guess no one's drunk enough for that yet." they admitted, gaze flickering about the crowd. a beat of silence. "so uh, anyone catch your eye yet?" (@mcritzatvrres)
"top 3 predictions for week one," he held out two beers in one hand, and a bottle opener in the other. isaac leaned in closer, his set of next words a low whisper as the two bottles clanged against one another. "person who's got the most right at the end of the week gets an off mic secret. you in?" for all he knew the mics would still pick it up. but, better to test it out with something harmless enough now, than later. (@dxrcymoore)
"hear you like long walks on the beach and holding hands," a few names had stood out upon making his rounds through the intros -- people worth knowing, those who'd piqued his interest one way or another. isaac quirked a brow, corner of his mouth curling upwards as he glanced over at the other. "i'm here for my interview." (@eazyfms)
"just the lady i was looking for," isaac called out, perching himself beside the brunette. "bed's all yours if you want it." he admitted, leaning his weight on the balls of his hands as he situated himself. isaac took a swig of his drink, glancing over at the other. it was foolish not to read up on the others, especially the person you'd be sharing your space with. "so you talked a lot about stuff you like to do -- what's one thing you hate?" (@carlavasconcelos)

Devi was used to meeting new people, plenty of conventions and meet and greets over the years had primed her for strangers but this was a bit different..and considering everything, she felt a little out of place. Eyeimg one of the other contestants by the pool she sidled over to them with what she hoped was an approachable smile. “So are you more of a May or a Lilliana…or an Ishy?” Devi asked, wondering if they’d even watched the first season the way she had.
a hardly sipped drink in hand, ro had elected to perch themselves at the edge of the pool, legs dangling in the water. eyes widened for a brief moment as the other's sudden presence registered. this felt like a networking event in some of the worst possible ways -- something ro avoided to an almost absurd degree at times. was this some pop culture reference that ro was oblivious to? rational thought would have led to admitting ignorance.
"uh.. an ishy? definitely an ishy." they had utterly no clue what an ishy was, but it was too late to turn back now. "what about you?"
to say this was disorienting was an understatement. this was such a far cry from anything ro had done in the past few years that somehow, her usual endeavors under a public lens felt less stressful than interacting with a house full of strangers. ro had spent much of the night pacing quiet observation with fleeting interactions -- enough to feel as if she was a participant as opposed to living furniture flitting about the building. though, that didn't sound like the worst option. no, no -- she'd committed. nonetheless, she'd resigned herself to the bed in her room, notebook and pen in hand. a recharge, a moment to collect her thoughts. ro had been so engrossed in thought in fact, that sudden movement caused her to jolt, notebook and pen hurtling to the ground between the pair.
"oh shit-- hey," she scrambled forward to retrieve her notebook, "i'm roo-ro, we're roomies-- roommates," she cringed internally at the faltered wording -- too much, too weird -- how did people talk to roommates they just met? "we're sharing the room." that felt better.
a pause for a beat that felt like a century all of a sudden. "how's the first night been going?" (@dxrcymoore)
( assumption - for isaac ) you could easily survive in a desert island
"eh-eh, you're gonna have to try harder to unlock that backstory achievement. a desert island is real dramatic by the way -- but yeah, if i had to get through something like that i'd at least be able to figure shit out 'till help showed up."
(assumption @ isaac) you hope viewers hate you
"love watching and hate watching isn't all that different -- still watching, aren't ya?"
(assumption @ isaac) you're here for one main reason
"go girl, give us nothing! does this even count as an assumption?"
( assumption ) you didn't come here for love
"damn, you caught me. none of this shit's that serious, dude. anyone who says they're here for love is either hamming it up for the cameras or in for a rude ass awakening really soon."
(assumption @ rowena) you have tricks up your sleeve
"mhm, better watch out!"
( assumption - for rowena ) you have a favorite poem
"gary has some heartwrenching stuff, you're really missing out."
