Ethan’s usual idiotic smile isn’t present on his face. He breathes a sigh and wraps his arms around his boyfriend, pulling him into a tight hug. “Shou, I really do love you.” He strokes at his head. “I really do. I just ... don’t understand what you see in me.”
“What if you make the entire house explode..”
“I .. want some faith for once, Chouko.”
“What if I’m never allowed in the kitchen even after I grow up? Can I at least boil an egg...?”

Another futile attempt in to cheer everyone up. He was trying his best. He honestly was. He wanted to somehow brighten everyone’s day up and nothing was working. Things were far too different but, it wasn’t surprising that his usual antics did nothing at this point. Ruri was usually around.
“... Damn it ..” He slumped against the wall and clutched at his head. “... Damn ... it.” Tears began to prick at his eyes. “The days ... that were happiest was when .. we were all together ... What are we supposed to do .. when you’re gone, Ruri?” Unable to restrain his tears at this point, he could only break out into a sob.
“Let the water boil then put in the eggs for 15 minutes and then take it out...”
Honestly where’s the boyfriend.
“ if you stopped being a klutz then maybe it would…how expensive was the camera? ”
“No idea but it looked pretty expensive. I’ll probably die the next time I meet him but he said he was only touring around the city for a couple of days so I guess I’m alright.”
“ honestly, how do you fuck up that bad? did you at least offer to pay part of it or help him try and dry it? ”
“I mean I did offer a few options but he was ready to beat the shit out of me so I ran. I just ... I want this world to let me live.”
“ well…what were you doing? ”
“So this huge bara man asked me to take a photo of him and his wife in front of somewhere and there was like a huge fountain right next to me so I accidentally dropped the camera in the fountain. I apologized then ran.”
“And then he said--”
“What the fuck are you doing you little shit? Then I fled the scene.”

“ Mm? Ethan…?”
He was napping with him but had awoken at the movement of the other. He just ended up holding onto him. “Lets stay like this for a while longer….” He moved to rest his head against his arm. “Just want to cuddle you… I really missed this, and you of course!”He laughed a little towards the end but his tone was soft, and it was obvious he still was a bit sleepy.
Ethan had actually woken up a couple of minutes before Shou and was ready to stretch out of habit as soon as he woke up but he recalled that Shou was still next to him, asleep. He leaned over towards the end table to reach for his cell phone however, Shou ended up being woken by his movements. He stopped and returned to his previous position. He wrapped his arms around the other. “I missed you too.” He nuzzled into him, unable to restrain a smile. “Love you, Shou.”
