Whenever I post Yokai Talismans stuff, it's often the usual suspects: Komainu (The mascot), Orochi (The fan-favorite) or Shuten (The main villain)
So I decided to do a post on an underrated duo, Zashiki Warashi and Hanako-San. The spirits of dead children who sees each other as siblings. Though both became yokai due to horrific situations, one lets that hate and anger consume her while the other doesn't let that define them

A tsukumogami composed of 66 gigaku masks. It was listed in Gazu Hyakki Tsurezure Bukuro bestiary. During the time of Prince Shotoku’s reign, he created various gigaku masks for 66 plays. All of them which is used by the progenitor of Kagura dancers, Hata no Kawakatsu.
It was speculated that the 66 masks for the dance aged and transformed into this youkai.
