    the day had been pretty slow and damon didn’t have his usual spill of gaudy truckers stop in. damon was taking over his old pal’s position and was cleaning tables until there was a tug on his sleeve. for a moment, he seemed like he was lost, as if there was no one around until he lowered his sights a little. ‘ oh ----- did you lose um mom and uh pop ?? or do you uh need the bathroom ?? ‘
