To add to this nightmare, I’ve just heard of a thing called ForceField where people get to monitor and block internet sites that you’re going on if they don’t approve.

It tells the user what sites/apps you’re going on, for how long you’re on them, and WHERE YOU ARE ON AN UPDATING MAP.

So you know if you’re in an abusive household and use sites like tumblr to escape and talk to friends, you could be cut off from that.

They say “it’s not spyware” but it sure sounds controlling and creepy to me.

Life 360 is another tracker. My parents have used it on me, not allowing me to delete it from my phone, and sometimes even demanding selfies to prove I was where the map said. (As if I’d go anywhere without my phone)

SpectorPro is another one. Afaik it can’t track location, but it takes screenshots roughly every 20sec to allow the installer to watch a video of your computer activity. It also tracks all keystrokes, so passwords aren’t safe, and records any website you visit + the duration. It’s incredibly creepy and a huge violation of privacy, and was one of the cornerstones of my abuse as a kid.

Cole

Replaying Dragon Age: Inquisition and Ive just finished Haven and are seeing Corypheus for the first time.

And having Cole, at the door going "I cannot come in until you open" (may have been 'unless you open' but either way).

We all know by now Cole can and will go just about anywhere he feels needed. But this wasnt about him being given physical entry.

He asked permission to enter Haven, The Inquisition, the people, to help and heal. And would not, could not, do that unless given permission by the people themselves.

He needed that permission, to help with all he could give.

And I adore him and how much fun he is to analyse from a writers perspective. I love how he speaks, mostly.

I just love Cole.

So this weekend I found myself chatting with an established comic writer, he asked me about my interest in the matter and I told him I ran a webcomic but before he could even respond I qualified it with;

“Well it’s a fan comic, I’m not a real comic creator.” He was appalled.

“What do you mean you’re not a real comic creator?” He demanded. “Do you have a comic?”

“Well yeah but its a fan comic its not a real-” He literally put his hand on my shoulder to stop me.

“You have a comic. You made a comic. You’re putting in the work. You’re a real comic creator.” He told me about how one of the people he works with on a comic started by writing Mass Effect fanfiction even. I’ve been thinking about that ever since.

I’ve thought about how many times I’ve heard myself and other say things like, “Oh, I’m a writer but I write fanfiction not like real writing.” And thats so bullshit, he was right. 

If you write you’re a writer, end of story.

So I was on Kylo/Ben’s page on Wookieepedia, specifically reading about his early life. When it mentioned his relationship with his parents, it said this;

I’m sorry, what does it say?

It’s canon that Han and Leia didn’t show him enough love to make Ben feel needed among his family. That’s why he was so conflicted; he doesn’t know where he truly was wanted. He had grown up knowing barely anything other than neglect from his parents.

It’s not something that the “nasty Kylo apologists” are just imagining to make him look better. No. he actually experienced this shit. It’s fucking canon.

So if any anti ever tries to say, “Oh, Ben grew up in a privileged family! His family loved him and never did anything bad to him! He was selfish and decided to betray them even though they were wonderful parents!"show them this.
