" you steppin' up to the table ? " tone teasing, as she lifts her own glass to her lips to take a sip, " best two out of three, loser has to ask one of the lucky contestants here for a body shot or go skinny dippin'. "
" hopefully, you weren't disappointed with the selection ? " words joking, as she leans against the kitchen counter. cerulean hues focused on him, as she takes a piece of fruit into her mouth. @sprklepop
"Hopefully it'll anchor us to our humanity and that we're all out here just trying to find love and our person. Especially when tensions start to boil." Cam could only hope it happened towards the latter part of their stay here in the villa. It was inevitable in a room of people who knew nothing about each other. "I could say the same for acts of service. We've evolved to 'main character' syndrome as a society, so when someone does something truly out of good intent and not to garner favor, attention, or likes...it's just as precious as a rare gem, you know?" He loved that was the intention she was setting for herself, being here, and he hoped that with everyone she offered the bracelet, everyone else felt it too. "So, what brings you out here, cause I find it hard to believe you haven't been swept up by someone just yet."
" I feel like somewhere along the line we forgot that not every kind thing has to come with an audience ... sometimes it's enough just knowin' you made somebody's day a little better, " cerulean hues lifting to meet his own, tenderness settling easily across her features. though the question that followed earned a soft laugh, one immediately accompanied by the faintest rose tint to her cheeks. " lord, you're makin' me blush, camy, " ducking her head for a brief moment before looking back up with a grin. " but I guess i'm lookin' for my perfect match just like everyone else. a girl can only survive so many bad relationships before she starts wonderin' if she's the problem, " teasing lightly, though there was this somewhat honesty beneath her words. she couldn't help but think back to the handful she had, each one met with protective brothers and plenty of unsolicited opinions, the last one ending in a heartbreak she hadn't quite expected. maybe she'd been a little sheltered, maybe a little overprotected, but she hoped this experience would finally let her figure things out for herself. " what about you ? " curiosity in her tone as she leaned in slightly, " pray tell ... do you come with any red flags, or just a history of poor relationships ? "
"That I most definitely can't argue with." No drama as far as he could see, and they were both good-looking fellas. They would absolutely earn themselves some butt pinches from the seasoned ladies in the fruit aisle at the local grocery store. "I hear you, I hear you," he chuckles. This would be broadcast on national television, and Cam knew he had to be mindful of his movement. Not necessarily to garner himself a clean status, but he just didn't need to deal with any sort of backlash that could truly trickle and impact his world when he returned stateside. "You feeling anyone just yet?"
" I would be lying if I said nobody has caught my attention, " glancing around the villa before looking back at cam, " but there are maybe three people i'm genuinely curious about. " a crooked grin settled on his features, " problem is, there are six others still needing some fleshing out too. " he takes a sip of his drink, recalling a few of those conversations he had. yet, theirs seemed more in line of a good friendship waiting to happen ... but question remained if they both had the same interest. " but, lets say hana, tala and bella ... though ask me again in a week and it may be a different answer, " clearing his throat, as he takes a sip from his cup. " what say you ? ... any of the women here caught your attention ? " curious to know, as he leaned against the counter behind him.
he couldn't help but chuckle at her charming words. " hopefully that doesn't happen but i'd let you borrow my family lawyer just in case. " he responds in a teasing manner, adjusting the bracelet against his wrist as he does. kolby then raised his chin up as she answered his question. his eyes fixated on hers as he attentively listened to her. " i feel you. this is a once in a lifetime experience that we were picked for. " he nods his head, taking in this fact. " i can't help but get excited to get to know everyone too and form connections beyond just romantic ones, " he says with a lopsided smile. " but i think i'm most looking forward to is the memories. the good and the bad ones cause i know it's gonna be something i'll remember when i'm old as dirt and telling my grandkids about what i did in my prime years. "
" oh aren't you too kind ? I knew there was a reason I trusted you with the bracelet, " amusement lingering at cerulean hues though softens, given the words that come next. words that provide a sense of ease, granted it demonstrated what she was hoping to accomplish here. " I really like that answer, " admitting with a small smile, " everybody comes in here talkin' about findin' love ... don't get me wrong, I hope that it happens for me too, but I think years from now i'm gonna remember the people, these little conversations, the inside jokes we make here ... and all the little moments in between, " her shoulders lifting in an easy shrug, " and if we're lucky enough to find our person along the way, I figure that will just make the story even better when we're old as dirt tellin' our grandkids about it. "
" i'm at a villa can you blame me ? " she jokes. " besides as long as you put in the effort i'm sure you can win my attention my attention in no time. " she smiles warmly, followed by a light laughter at his dramatics. she thought her answer was reasonable and fairly truthful. " right, it's the perfect balance and you'll never truly know where the pendulum will swing, " she teases and leans back in her seat, entertained by his witty response. " a five ? are you sure you're not just copying my answer so i'll remain just as equally motivated ? " she snickers and playfully rolls her eyes at his expression. " a gym date with a relaxing picnic afterwards would boost your odds too. let's manifest that it happens. "
" see ? that's exactly what I'm talking about. you're giving me just enough of a confidence boost to keep pursuing, while also reminding me I've still got to work for it, " his grin refusing to leave his face. " and for the record, I wasn't copying your answer. I was ... matching your level of effort. totally different, Bella, " an expression remaining impossibly convincing for all of two seconds before he broke into laughter. " now, a gym date and a picnic afterward ? " his brows lifts, " you after my heart or what ? ... but that's a little dangerous. besides, i'm a pretty good cook, if you couldn't tell. my pb&j sandwiches are the best in the northwest, " leaning back in his chair, amusement lingering in his eyes as he smiled, " but honestly ? I would be all for that ... and i'm manifesting that it actually happens. "
" I was a little surprised when the house picked me for your date, " words calm, as she slowly lifted herself from her sitting position. frame shifting closer to the edge of the lounge chair, her attempt to close some of the distance between them. amusement dancing across cerulean hues, as she looked up at him. " but, I hope you're not disappointed in the selection ? " @perfectmvtch
" you should probably be more worried about the pool and the gym stealing my attention. " she let out a slight chuckle and tilted her head to the side. " so i'll go with a 5 just to be on the safe side , " she finished with a smirk. " and what about you ? should i be prepared for stiff competition ? "
" losing to the pool and the gym ? that's a tough start for me, " placing a hand over his chest as though he had been personally attacked by the answer. " and a five? see, that's dangerous. high enough to make sure I don't get too comfortable, but low enough to still give me hope, " a grin tugs at the corner of his lips as he leaned back slightly, amusement evident in his expression as he was playing along jokingly, " and as for stiff competition ? I would probably put that at a five too ... although, if a gym date happens to be in our future, I might be willing to bump those odds in your favor a little. "
his eyes widened at the charm bracelet that dangled on her wrists. " wow , that's really thoughtful of you. " he smiled at her with genuine eyes before grabbing the bracelet from her grasp. he was a big fan of his own expensive watches but the bracelet she showed off appeared just as luxurious since she put her thoughts into it. " thanks , i'm sure everyone is gonna love this. " a smile tugged on his lips as he slipped the bracelet over his wrist. " and you're right i could use all the luck i could get. i really want to find my person here , " he tells her before folding his arms. " so , what are you most looking forward to with this experience ? "
" honestly, i'm hopin' the lucky part works too ... otherwise i'm gonna have a whole villa demandin' lawsuits, " amusement lingering at her features, as cerulean hues softened given the question that follows. " I think i'm mostly lookin' forward to actually meetin' people I might never have crossed paths with. like, I mean ... I came here hopin' to find my person too, but I think there is somethin' kind of special about gettin' to know people from completely different walks of life and seein' what comes from it, " her head tilting back slightly before a grin tugs at her lips, " what about you ? besides hopefully fallin' in love, of course. "
"miss callahan," he didn't even bother to hide his wide grin as the blonde approached him, his hand finding a place on her waist easily, clearly thanking the fates for having it go this way. he couldn't deny sutton was the type to catch everyone's attention, including his own. warm brown eyes that flickered towards her lips for the briefest of moments, before moving back to meet her own vibrant blue ones. "for sure- i'd be glad to for this specific taste of texas," a low chuckle before leaning down slightly, so he could be the one to close the gap between them.
" careful now, new york, " her voice low but soft as a grin tugs at the corners of her lips, " wouldn't want you gettin' too attached to texas from this, especially since you still have to come and visit. " cerulean hues lingering on his features for a moment, searching for something promising there as her fingers lifted to tuck a stray strand of her tresses back into place. her cheeks burning bright given the way his hands rested at her waist. the fondness in her expression only growing before she finally closed the remaining distance herself. a soft kiss placed against his lips, though a smile is evident at her lips. still, she pulls away some, undeniably pleased with the outcome, " consider that your official early texan welcome. "
she couldn't help the small laugh that escaped. “ it wouldn''t be fair to the other to share that now wouldn't it. but i'm not sure if it's an actual valid question or more of a bad pick up line. either way i promised myself to be very open and spend time with everyone so i guess you can do with that what you want ? "
" well, let's go with the latter... if only to spare me a little humiliation, " tone joking, as he leans casually against the counter a grin pulling at his lips. " but be honest with me here ... was it actually smooth, or did I sound like some high school jock trying to find a prom date ? " a laugh follows, " because if it's the second one, then i've clearly got some work to do and need to seriously step up my game before the rest of this house gets a chance to witness it. "
" can't disappoint the audience now, can we ? " his tone light and teasing, though noticeably lower as he extended a hand toward her. the moment she took it, he guided her closer, as a grin tugs at the corner of his lips. one hand settling at the small of her back as he leaned in, pressing a brief kiss to her lips before pulling away just enough to catch her reaction. a second kiss following with a playful intent. but the third lingered a little longer, drawn out by the natural rhythm that had formed between them. his hand shifted to her waist, keeping her close as the noise of the room seemed to fade for a moment, the playful challenge of the game giving way to something just a little more genuine before he finally pulled back with a crooked smile. @paradiseplayers
" so, you going to let me show you how texas does it ? " a toothy grin spreading across her features as her arms come to drape loosely over his shoulders. blonde tresses tumbling down her back as she tilted her head up toward him, amusement dancing in cerulean hues, " I mean, since you've never been to texas and all, I figured this is the least I could do give you a little sneak peek. lex let out a surprised laugh, immediately covering part of her face with her hand. "other places in the house ? oh my gosh, wow, though... i really shouldn't be so surprised. i heard our own host had sex in their fire pit last season... and the shower... and the pool." she said with a light laugh as her eyes drifted around the room before looking back at him. "you already scoping those other places out?" lex teased him with a warm smile. "screw paris, right? i think barcelona is a lot more romantic, a lot sexier. i'm so excited to hopefully be able to see more of it, even though i'm a little worried about possibly never winning a challenge." lex admitted.
" okay, hold on. the fire pit too ? that's actually insane ... like wait a minute who has been giving you the tea ? " looking genuinely impressed by the information and concerned at the same time, " see, this is why reality tv scares me. people get left unsupervised for five minutes and suddenly every location becomes a terrible decision waiting to happen. " still, at her accusation, he pointed toward himself almost innocently. " me ? scoping places out ? absolutely not. i'm just gathering information for safety purposes, " a grin tugging at his expressions, though the next few words low, " but this place is big enough ... for anything to happen. " dark hues looking around them, as a chuckle falls from his lips, " but i'm with you on that. paris gets all the credit, but barcelona feels more like a place where you would accidentally have the best week of your life ... and honestly, if you're worried about never winning a challenge, we might just have to start campaigning then because I haven't been here long enough to accept defeat. "
