There was an old Rocket hideout someone knew that a few stray Rockets were hiding in. Such as were the good old days... reminiscing here and there about screams and splatters of red on the walls.
Unfortunately she didn't get to relive her 'glory days' because someone else had beat her to her little pit stop. A stray Rocket saved by the arms of justice.
ATAMI waits in her typical plague doctor style get up until the other young woman is all alone, left to sort through the old hideout herself.
"Do they really deserve that level of kindness anymore?"
Ever since Rocket re-established itself, tracking them down had become an integral part of Lyra's duties as Champion. They were good about not leaving a trace behind—technological advancements and Ultra Wormholes will give that to you.
But from the very start, she knew it couldn't have been anyone else. Why else, other than to throw her off some nonexistent trail, would the number of missing Pokémon spike in Kanto and Johto specifically? Naturally, that before long led her to their previously abandoned bases—and while it wasn't public knowledge yet, all her suspicions turned out to be completely correct.
Rocket was back. And today was yet another where she'd find them. She's been more proactive of late. And one lone Rocket was no match for the woman who made destroying their organization her life's mission. The revitalization of this old, decrepit base had been halted with terrified pleas before it even began; what Pokémon they had on them were thankfully turned over to the Champion without a struggle.
In the next moment, everything fell silent. Creepy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Except...
You know... For THIS new face! Or, uh, not face. Mask? Would that be more accurate to say? Whatever—who on Earth was this? A Rocket? Well, judging by her words, likely not. But she didn't seem to be up to any good, either. And what was with that spooky get-up...?
Even breathing felt dangerous in her presence.
"Uh... What? Of course. They already surrendered once they saw me, and I got what I needed from them. It's not like I need to chase after them or anything..."
What was she suggesting? That she shouldn't show them mercy?
