Its an amazing bug themed Steampunk Fantasy series. All humans are decided into different "Kinden" with a specific arthropod. Like Wasp Kinden, Beetle Kinden, ant Kinden ect ect. With them all having a different ability or "art" derived from the totem bug.
It has absolutely AMAZING world building with how the societies organize themselves and the world changes technologically through the entire series.
Its a treat to see all the webs of stories mesh with one another and explore the world more.
I am glad that I am not on goodreads anymore bc I have the intense urge to be mean to this one girl complaining about characters fucking up in the dragonfly falling reviews and then turning around, giving acotar & fourth wing 5 stars.

I am having the mental image of like the imperial propaganda people writing fiction bc they would and then was 'like they would have a james bond equivalent to get people to join the secret intelligence, wouldn't they'
I forgot that the show outlander was a thing and was swiping through two slides of an instagram post about the show wondering what the wasp empire's secret intelligence had to do with all that before remembering that there's this show called outlander
It seems to be that the victims of this one au are being Stenwolds blood pressure and Gaved (in general)

Sota has poisoned my mind (affectionately). Was writing a fic for another fandom and was referring to the KGB and almost wrote rekef instead.
Totho would be the guy who would try to start a podcast (kinda derogatory) in a modern au tbh
A sota animated series would be fun but I do not trust the general public with anything bug adjacent and morally dubious characters
