This man is just too much of a gentleman, had his words made the huntress flatter a bit that she rubbed the back of her head for a second. He kinda speaks like a knight as portrayed in most of the fairy tales she read during childhood. Not that she’d bring that up anyway as it wasn’t necessary.
“Sure! I don’t mind,” she quickly accepted the offer, mostly because she felt the need of having a company for the time being. Besides, it’s not like Arthur is a threat anyway, right? “Not sure if I’d be much of a help but we could check around this town to get familiar with it.”
“Indeed, it fills me with great joy that you’d humble me with your presence.” The man spoke rather cheerfully as he began to trot forward alongside her. Granted this was a completely new world he couldn’t help but feel rather familiar streams of mana coursing through this entire town, not that he was a sensor or anything but there was something within the town that was familiar.
And it was unbeknownst to them that there really was an evil gathering within the vicinity. Hidden within the shadows of an alley was an arcane circle glowing upon the soil and with this circle came the presence of beasts of all matter. These monsters were categorized as both feral and some even took the shapes of man.
However, all was still peaceful for the knight and his would-be friend. “So miss Ruby pardon my curiosity but what strange fate made you decide to journey within this particular town. I myself have found myself drawn towards this location but to be honest I have no inkling as to why I was called here.”
