it'd been festering inside her for far too long. perhaps a full twenty-four hours, which was longer than she'd lasted before, certainly. she paced her apartment, submersed herself with distractions, and even went shopping. none of it could stop her from striding over to his front door. she raised her fist, ready to hammer on it before the image of the 'unhinged ex girlfriend' flashed through her mind. she froze, shifting to a softer knock. sure, maybe she was going to make some hefty accusations, but at least she could appear level-headed.
when the door eventually opened, she crossed her arms over her chest, hiding her clenched fists. "right, so i shouldn't have worried about her? the same her that waltzed right through this door yesterday? no worries at all, huh? it's almost like i'm always right," the words immediately rushing out of her.
