Still waiting on my new sinker eyes to get here (USPS delayed them), so I made this guy while I wait:
Embroidered eyes work very well with this pattern! Made this one with big twist baby bear and posh since I have a ton of purple to use up.

Possibly my new favorite pattern: Rory the Gobkin, by KnottMagic
Hes so cute!! ;v; I'm working on 2 more at the moment (a red one for the shop and a black one for me), but I used my last pair of 30mm sinker eyes on this bean so I have to wait for the new ones to get here before I can finish them.
A small collection of handmade, pastel amigurumi, all of which were made by me using either Big Twist ‘Baby Bear’, Bernat ‘Baby Velvet’, Ber
A brand new baby! Wanted to give a longer, wingless version a try and I really enjoy how this little bean turned out - definitely going to be making one for myself to keep.

New batch of dragons are ready to be adopted! :D
You can find them all in my Etsy shop, OfNestsAndComfort:
Spring is fast approaching, and with it comes 3 new baby dragons that are finished and ready to find their forever homes. But which do you c
A little preview of what's to come! These little cuties, and more, will be added to the shop within the next few days or so, just depends on when I have time to create the listings. :3
The most recent dragons that I sent out. I really enjoyed doing that vanilla and pomegranate one, he's so cute! <3
I'm currently taking a short break from the custom ones, but I do have the yellow and blue one, as well as the toffee with socks one left in the shop if either of those catch your eye:
You can find them for sale here!: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4303943834/adopt-a-dragon-pre-made-crochet-baby?variation0=5387817869
The outfit~
I ended up using the clothes from this Jinshi pattern as a starting point: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4306988888/pattern-crochet-boy-doll-4-crochet?ref=yr_purchases
Then modified the stitch counts to make it bigger, changed the sleeves to make it look like a yukata, and also made it removable instead of sewing it onto the body like in the original pattern. You can't see it in the pictures, but there's a little clear button underneath the obi that keeps the top portion closed.
I forgot to post these!! I still need to take pictures of him in his outfit (I crocheted him a gray yukata just to have something easy to work on), but at least now he doesn't have to keep living in the wip box.
The only bad thing is that his head is so very floppy! The hair and glue really add a lot of extra weight, and I didn't realize until after I had already started gluing things into place that his neck isn't fully stuffed either (although I also suspect that the dowel I put down the middle of him wasn't quite long enough, so that probably isn't helping). At least he's done and he's cute though. I'll just have to be careful how I display him.
But my favorite part? The gold staples and his stupid, adorable little bangs that I definitely didn't mess up on at least twice and had to remove/add pieces after I had already glued them down. >:[
Why is it when I have the time and motivation to take progress photos the weather decides it's going to be stormy and dreary? >:[
Will try to sneak out at some point once there's a little more sunlight light, assuming it doesn't start raining again.
I don't think I put enough stuffing in my newest doll's neck and now that I'm gluing the hair into place it's entirely too late to fix it, so I guess his head is going to be a little floppier than the others. ;-;
Thank god I also use wooden dowels so at least his little noggin has some support.
Some more of the little octopi that I shared yesterday because I love how these turned out, and they feel so nice just sitting in the palm of your hand~ <3
These were both made using fingering weight SW merino wool yarn. I still have a bunch of mini skeins left from thrift shopping that I'm not sure what to do with, so let me know if you want to see these guys in a different color. :)

I also made a bigger version - This one may or not end up in the shop, I'm just not sure if it would sell (the head is pretty heavy so he's extra floppy).
He's perfect. ;v;
I currently have him sitting on my desk in the little sake cup where I keep my stitch markers, but I might move him in with the dolls once I get those set up again. Just need to clean out and reorganize my display cases.
Back and ready to go with some brand new items in the shop!! :D
You can find them, and others, in the usual place: https://ofnestsandcomfort.etsy.com
But let me know if you have any questions or suggestions, especially for things that you might like to see in the future - either animals, or if you've seen the dolls that I make, maybe a character. Mainly just trying out some new stuff for fun as a little break from the baby dragons (although I do still need to make a couple more of those still). :)
Little Friday update for Dabi while I'm at it. :)
He has a face now! And shoes! I've been dragging my feet a little on him because I don't want to do the hair, but I'm hoping to have him at least mostly finished within the next couple of weeks.
I still need to add his hair (obviously), ears, gold "staples" on all his exposed seams (might do silver if the gold thread I bought doesn't work out though), and then I want to use a combination of these fabrics to make him a yukata:
I'm for sure doing one with the blue w/ white flowers, with either the black "dash" fabric or the black floral print as the obi. But I really like the yellow flower print on him as well - just not sure if I should make it the main fabric or the obi. What do you guys think?
A cute, new color combo dragon that I'm dropping off tomorrow:
I think this is the first time anyone has requested black for one of these guys, which I was a little surprised by, but I think Etsy mainly promotes them in baby-related search results so it kinda makes sense that the pastels have been so popular. Still, it looks pretty good with the mint and lavender yarn. :)
