❄— “ Oh…” he began, his words trailing off as it sunk in. he thought for a moment, a quarter vampire? it was surprising, perhaps, but it wouldn’t change the way he felt about her.

         “i see. thank you for telling me. lucina means everything to me - nothing would change my mind from that. no matter what blood she has, or who she may be, i love her for her. i know it must have been a strange thing for her to tell me, i should explain these feelings to her, too, but…as her family, i want you to know as well.” he took a pause, his heart more certain than he’d ever been before. 

        “no matter who she is, i will always adore her. i’ve heard the legends and tales about vampires, but none of that worries me. i wish only to be a good companion to her for the time i am allowed to be. if the legends are anything to go by, the lives of a vampire are extended - aren’t they? past a normal human’s life…no matter what blood runs through her, i’ll stay by her side until my death. i made that promise to her, and i never intend to break it. if i could stay with her for eons, until this world ceases to be, i’d do that in a heartbeat, but i…i don’t want to impose on her. i would never wish for her to be with me  for the rest of her quite long life if it wasn’t what she wanted.” he finished, thoughts swirling in his head.

         “thank you again, sir, for telling me. i want to tell her all of these things myself, i want to assure her that i love her no matter what. admittedly, i do have a few questions, but…but those aren’t important right now. what’s important is that she knows this doesn’t change anything about how i feel.”

       “ah - is this a joke for the halloween festival coming up? if so - you got me quite good. you seemed so serious!”

❄— “your highness! good afternoon! i had a favor to ask, if i may.” he gave the man a kind smile - this would be an excellent way to get to know the rest of his new family.

         “you have a sister named lis.sa, right? i believe i’ve heard of her on a few occasions. still, i’ve never had the chance to properly meet her. if i may ask...what is she like? is she anything like ylgr? or perhaps more like gun.nthra...” he had heard she was quite the prankster, but hrid knew better than to accept rumors at face value. perhaps chrom’s sister was graceful, and kind, just as gunnth.ra had once been. or, perhaps, there was someone else close to the ylisse man that was like hrid’s eldest sister.
