Making Peace || Lux & Soraka
starblcssced:
Soraka didnât hear Lux yelling at herself in her own mind, of course not, but the mental disgress the other Star Guardian was going through caused by the otherâs reaction was a beacon that couldnât be ignored no matter how hard she tried. Her ears perked up and her gaze went to the pink haired one. How nervous could she be, and how much did she want this to go well? For what she could sense⊠she really wanted that conversation to go well.
It was true that she was new, Soraka hadnât met Ahri by the same time as Sarah or Syndra, but deep down she wondered if the leader hadnât been just like Lux once, maybe even brighter, and what sort of thing had given her that sour attitude that she had seen a few times already. As a healer, that was something that she could grasp and understand, perhaps better than most.
Not without a bit of hesitation, the mind haired girl reached out for the pink one, placing one hand on her shoulder, applying just the tiniest bit of pressure. She wanted to show a bit of confort to her, to show that she understood and that she was listenting to what was being said. It was maybe instinct or perhaps the wish to make things go well between both teams, she maybe both. But she wanted Lux to understand that she was listening to what was being said. A small smile slowly grew on her lips as she tried to transfer a bit of peace of mind to the pink leader.
She had said she didnât know what she was doing at times either, but for her, it seemed Lux did know what to do, even if she didnât seem to believe it. Soraka let go and placed her hands on her lap, ignoring the gentle tug she had felt on her shirt thanks to Shiza. Apparently he didnât approve what she had done, âtoo naiveâ he probably would complain later.
âYou know⊠You sounded like a good leader right nowâŠâ Soraka said, her voice soft and still shy, but a bit stronger. Maybe they could be friends. A small hope for the future perhaps. As a way to light up the mood a bit, she indicated the cinnamon rolls. âMay I?â
At the feel of the other girlâs hand on her shoulder, Lux looked up and over at the mint-haired girl. There was a soft expression in her pastel green eyes that conveyed a sense of calm that also washed over Lux. It was wonderful, similar to what Janna would do whenever she was hurt, however, this wasnât the same as a refreshing breeze. What Soraka had done made her feel zen and calm and serene even. It gave her hope and warmth as well. What a beautiful talent, Lux thought to herself as she realized just how lucky Sorakaâs teammates were to have someone like her on their side.Â
The fact that Soraka seemed to be very much willing to help her calm down gave her the confidence to continue. Not all was lost after all. Someone was willing to listen to her, and it seemed that someone even seemed to be on the same page. Luxannaâs soft fair cheeks went a soft pink color when Soraka complimented her on her skills as a leader. She let out a nervous chuckle while offering the girl a sheepish smile. âIâm glad I did...sometimes Iâm not sure if I do,â she said with another nervous little laugh, however, this one was warmer.Â
When she indicated to the cinnamon rolls she nodded her head rather excitedly causing her soft pink curls to bounce up and down. âYes, please. By all means!â she said with a more cheerful expression followed by a soft giggle. âLulu made them. Sheâs quite the baker,â she explained. âShe's not much of a chef, but what she lacks in culinary talent she makes up for in baking the most delicious treats,â she said with a grin as she talked about her fellow green-lighted sister.Â
âPerhaps one day you could even join us all for lunch. She doesnât always make cinnamon buns though, sometimes she makes cookies and cupcakes too.â she offered wondering if perhaps the invitation was too much.Â
alcyone-guardian:
âOh, hi Lux.â He mumbles, as quick as his mind is, it takes him a second to conciously acknowledge the other starguardianâs presence, lost in his thoughts as he is. But the moment the information reaches the front of his head heâs scrambling to recover his grip on reality and the situation. Itâs always awkward when you are talking about someone and you donât notice them appearing. ââOh shit, Lux.â
âUmâŠâ Very eloquent. âWell, it kinda doesnât matter now, donât mind me.â Ezreal shrugs, one of his hand reaches to rub the back of his neck in a childish tick of nervousness, that he prays she wonât think much of. âWell, I call those holes the monsters crawl out of ârupturesâ, makes them sound cooler and it makes sense? They are tearing the fabric of reality up or something.â
âHello Ezreal,â she said with a smile realizing he didnât fully realize that she was there. Perhaps like her, he was simply deep in his own thoughts? She knew she was guilty of that many times, so she didnât hold it against him. As he seemed to put two and two together she watched his nature shift from confident and cool to almost nervous. Her head cants to the side once more, a confused expression gracing her features as a pink brow arches up in question. Was he alright?Â
As he dismissed what he was saying she blinked a few times, bright pink orbs watching him closely...too closely. A pink hue stained her cheeks when she was aware of the fact that she was gawking at him like many other girls had a tendency to do. As he changed the subject she nodded her head in agreement, her pink twintails bobbing some as she did so. âI suppose youâre right. It does make a lot of sense,â she said with a soft smile. âBut what do they have to do with you getting a gift for someone? Are you sure you wouldnât like my help?â she asked trying to be friendly and hoping she wasnât pushing her luck.

Lux picked up the phrase âlucky duckyâ from a book she borrowed from Janna. She used it once, and Jinx now calls her Luxie Duxie.
Making Peace || Lux & Soraka
starblcssced:
Soraka gave one quick glance at Shiza, telling him silently to behave before focusing on the other Star Guardian again. As much as she appreciated his overprotection she didnât want to have to calm down one of his tantruns in front of a stranger. Specially considering no one else in the team would talk to her much longer than that. But what would be the harm on hearing her out?
Her eyes wandered off, focusing on the lunch as she bit her lower lip. She always got really shy when it came to talking to others and right now needed to resist the urge to simply get up and get away from there. The only thing that was holding her place was the fact that it would be really rude to do that and that Lux was trying to be friendly so the least she could do was that too.
The other girl seemed as nervous as Soraka was.
âItâs⊠Itâs nice to meet you too.â I think. There was still not really much for eye contact on her part so she continued to look anywhere else but at Lux. âGuardian things?â Her voice was mery a whisper and she could feel Shizaâs agitation on her shoulder as both knew what that meant. She was going to try to talk to them just like she had tried with Sarah, Ahri, Syndra and Ezreal. The First Light save her.
âI donât know if thereâs much I can talk about⊠Iâm⊠Iâm kind of new at this still.â Soraka replied, trying to discourage the other.
She could already see Soraka trying to pull away and she panicked for a moment. What was she going to do?! If she scared the girl off her last attempt at starting some kind of friendship between the two groups would be lost! Come on Lux!, she yelled at herself in her mind. Her mind was racing trying to think of something...anything and then she realized she was simply thinking too hard.Â
She looked over at the mint-haired girl and her companion and offered them a weak smile not knowing if either of them saw it. âHey..â she said more quietly and calmly this time. âItâs okay...if anything...I suppose Iâm just as new at this as you are,â she admitted while looking at her lap now. She took in a deep breath and simply stared at the way her fingers were laced with each other and twidled her thumbs out of nervousness. âItâs a lot to put on your plate I suppose. To know the power you have...the responsibility it takes.â she went on in a more solemn tone.Â
âAnd with you being new I know it means you donât understand much, and that you have to follow your leader and let them guide you,â she said while looking back at the girl now. âI know how you feel because...I never thought I could lead anyone...or anything. At first, I was on my own, not sure of any of this and then I found my sisters and learned I was supposed to take care of them, but I donât know the first thing about being a leader. That experience is new to me and confusing, and it makes me question every move I make. But somehow...the others helped me deal with this new thing. Despite my inexperience, Iâm still floating because we have stuck together...well for the most part anyway.â she said as she looked up at the cloudless sky and let out a small laugh.Â
âIâm sure youâre just as lost as I am about understanding why Ahri operates the way she does, but it doesnât mean we canât be friends. It doesnât mean youâre not my sister. All Star Guardians are connected by the light of the First Star, and whether we like it or not weâre a big family.â she said in a sincere tone after a long silence. âI guess what Iâm trying to say is that...perhaps we donât have to go our separate ways all the time. Thereâs a reason why the saying: United we stand and divided we fall exists. We may not all see eye to eye, but I believe itâs still possible to live in harmony with one another. Donât you agree?â she asked as she looked over at the girl.Â
Making Peace || Lux & Soraka
starblcssced:
If the girl were to be trully honest with herself, she would have to admit that she didnât think too much about the encounter with the other Star Gaurdian team. One of the reasons was that she didnât feel like it was her place to give her opinion on the matter. She was one of the newest on the team and didnât understand fully the reasons behind Ahriâs behavior. But she was her leader so the mind haired girl would surport her all the way through, until their light vanished or the very stars died.
The Star Guardian didnât think she would actually be able to interact much with the anyone on the other team anyway, so it would be a waste of time to think about them or how things could be between their teams. They stayed on their side while Soraka and the others were on their own. In fact the only time she heard about the Lux and the others was when the leader tried to approach them. In fact, she remembered Ezreal complaining about that just the other day.
Soraka shook her head, clearing those thoughs away from her head and focusing on her lunch once again. This was the first time in a while that she was by her herself during that time, usually Sarah or any of the other joined her for company.
Her ear moved a bit when she heard Lux approaching and her head turned a bit, green eyes widening a bit with surprise. The girl didnât even expected to be remembered considering she hadnât exchanged a single word with the pink haired girl. âI⊠I remember you.â Came her answer, softly and in a quiet voice. Her eyes went to the box, widening even more when she noticed the cinnamon rolls. How did she know?
âFor⊠For me? HumâŠ. Thank you.â Soraka said. âWould⊠would like to sit?â She asked. Maybe that was a mistake, but chatting with Lux wouldnât hurt right? She had even brought Sorakaâs favorite desert, maybe that was a her way to try to be friendly. As if to check out what was going on, Shiza climbed out of Sorakaâs backpack and went to her shoulder, to keep an eye on the other girl.
She had caught the minty-haired girl by surprise, that much was obvious from the look of sheer shock she was wearing. Perhaps that wasnât so bad? Or maybe she simply wanted nothing to do with Lux? Maybe she was being too intrusive? Her mind couldnât stop running. Once she was nervous there was no stopping the strange train of thoughts her mind would board. The thank you stirred her from her mind and she did her best to offer the girl a cheerful smile, not too much now... she told herself in her mind, not wanting to look uncool or cheesy or even creepy now that she thought about it.Â
Again Luxâs rambling train of thought was broken when she was offered the chance to sit with Soraka. Okay! Good! This was going pretty good! Right?
Before she could continue to think too much or too deeply on the matter she simply accepted the offer and took a seat next to the girl. âThanks,â she said with a smile again doing her best to be friendly. For a moment or two Lux realized they werenât alone. She could feel someoneâs eyes on her...not someone..something. She glanced over, seeing the small critter that was now peeking over Sorakaâs shoulder and looking straight at her.Â
The little critter was utterly adorable and reminded her much of Zephyr, Kuro, Shiro, and Pix. âOh, hello little guy,â she said as she looked at Shiza. She could tell by its expression that it wasnât overly excited about her presence. Much like everyone else on the other team she thought. âI hope you donât mind my being here,â she said to the two of them. âI just...well you see...um I wanted to talk,â she added trying not to sound nervous, but it was clear she was failing at such an attempt.Â
âAbout things! Um.. Guardian things.â she said the last part quietly so anyone nearby wouldnât be able to listen in on the conversation. âBecause weâre both Star Guardians...itâs really nice to meet you by the way,â she said realizing she was all over the place....this was turning out to be such a disaster...
My boyfriend has been playing a lot of Lux lately and it inspired me to redraw star guardian Lux. Itâs pretty crazy, the advancements you can make in a year.
Making Peace || Lux & Soraka
|| â || @starblcssced
It was a long shot but she had to try. Ever since the summer trip to Mount Targon, Luxanna had been through quite a bit. In the back of the Star Guardianâs mind she replayed the fight against the strange dark bug like creatures in the meadow. She felt as though she had failed as a leader and when Ahri and her team had arrived she saw within the girl a leader worth following. She saw someone who could band the teams together, but she had no such luck in talking to her about it. Ahri was a bitter Star Guardian, she wasnât sure what had happened to her, but the girl was not willing to work under the light of the First Star and her team that followed her seemed to agree.
It was now upon Luxâs shoulders to take care of her team and step up to the plate and be...well...a leader.
Her first step was to make peace with the five star guardians they had come to meet that summer. Perhaps they had all started off on the wrong foot? It was wishful thinking she supposed, but she prayed that there was still a chance to make amends, and maybe..just maybe put the ten guardians together. Surely with all their powers combined there would be no evil they couldnât overcome.
She had tried with the other members, but they were all quick to stick to Ahriâs ideals, and so her last ray of hope was the quiet one of the group. Lux recalled her name was Soraka, and while she might have been on Ahriâs team she seemed to be rather reasonable compared to Sarah and Syndra. There was no going back now, she thought as she took a deep breath. Bright pink eyes spotted the mint-haired girl in the courtyard during lunch at Valoran Highâs counterpart for collegiate students. She glanced down at the pink box in her hand filled with cinnamon rolls. She had heard through the grape vine that Soraka liked the sweet buns and she hoped itâd be enough to at least start a conversation with her.
âH-hey!â she said doing her best to sound friendly and cheerful. Wait...was she being too friendly and cheerful? âYouâre Soraka right? Iâm Lux. We uh...we met at Mount Targonâs astronomy camp during the summer...and we uh...we sort of fought together too.â she went rambling on as if she needed to remind the girl. âOh uh! These are for you!â she said as she held out the pink box for the other girl to take.

âItâd be pointless to prepare a gift for her, no? I have no way of giving it to her today for sure. Itâs not like I know when a rupture is gonna open.â
âWell, wouldnât it depend on who youâre gifting and what the gift is?â she asked as she came up behind him, her hands behind her back and her head slightly canted to the side in pure curiosity. She hadnât meant to listen in on what he was saying, no doubt he was probably blurting out some private thoughts, but his voice had made her curious. The last thing she wanted to do was seem creepy however, and she got locked in her own head debating if she should leave him be or not. âWhatâs a rupture?â she asked in a curious tone, recalling another thing he had said.
