modern day felix is the one wearing basketball shorts in the middle of winter.

and the one who gets up at 5 am to go for jogs, no matter the weather.

summer is a least favourite. if the temperature gets near or above 80 they feel like dying. they’re definitely one of the “SUMMER IS AWFUL I FEEL LIKE I’M MELTING” kind of people.

at first, they also didn’t like fall/winter because once they got to the east coast and experienced days rather than nights where it dropped into and below the 50s, they cried and didn’t leave shelter.

but then they started realizing that running around in colder weather was a rush, and since most people are miserable in the cold, they can do whatever they want. they wish they’d just been born on the east coast instead of the boring, godforsaken hell-hole that is the desert. the only thing that’s really irritating is how much trash and useless scrap there is in boston. it’s EVERYWHERE.

long story short - summer is awful, stale winter’s where it’s at. \m/

the story behind the nose scar is really lame. it wasn’t that long ago, but it was nearing when they got to the east coast (so they were like 19/20). it was a bad fall and an even worse landing in a pile of shredded metal, slicing right across the bridge. it actually cracked the cartilage in their nose a bit, and the tip is sort of uneven. which is funny, because they get hit in their nose a lot, but that’s the closest they’ve ever gotten to breaking it.

NOTE: there;s a TL;DR two paragraphs from now if you’d rather not read about mentions of familial abuse and turbulent households. i tried not to really get super descriptive, but i know a lot of people really don't feel comfortable about it.

as for their family, their mom grew to dislike them when they were growing up. there was a bit of abuse, more-so emotional than physical. their dad was a little more forgiving. they ended up not really associating with their younger sisters, because the girls were really spoiled compared to felix and treated like any lucky younger sibling would be (generally, just treated better). they were kind of uppity, but in some cases could have been generous and civil.

there was just a lot of passive-aggressive energy between everyone (mainly them and their mom) that made the household seem… dangerous at times. felix mainly got along with their younger brother, because unlike their other siblings, he was more willing to bail out and get away for a while, in an environment that wasn’t so heavy.

TL;DR: mom was an asshole, dad was less of an asshole, sisters were okay, and brother was the best to them.
