I stepped forward and pulled her into my arms. She felt small but strong at the same time and I soaked up the feeling of my body wrapped around hers. She was home. Gently, I pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I should’ve told you that a long time ago.” Her arms snaked around my neck and she leaned back so that she could peer up at me. “Do you mean it?” I nodded. She raised up on tip toe, brushed her lips against mine, and whispered, “I’m yours.”

Dear future husband,

I’ve waited so long for you, literally all my life. Not always patiently, but I’ve waited.
