i fucking love the concept of ward still viewing fitzsimmons as his tiny scientist siblings even after he's gone to the bad side

like they're mid fight and simmons actually manages to land a punch on him and he stops for a second like "wow, that was really good, loosen up your shoulder a little next time though, proud of you"

he still adores them while they're like "WILL YOU JUST DIE ALREADY"

then when he finds out they finally kissed he's like "awww i'm happy for y- can you stop shooting at me for like two seconds. i'm happy for you both"

how do you feel about the whole situation with Fitz and Ward being like brothers in season 1? i personally love it and sometimes still wish they would’ve showed us more Fitz + Ward screen time lol after looking deeper into it - in season 3 when Coulson was questioning the team about ward and it came to Fitz, he mentioned something about Ward treating him like a replacement for something/someone else (i think) wouldn’t that imply Ward DID view Fitz as his little brother? like Ward viewed Fitz as a replacement for his little brother Thomas who he wasn’t in touch with at the time? do you think that the show should’ve kept the brotherly relationship between the two or no?

I do like the joking idea of at first Fitz having a bit of a puppy crush on Ward and lowkey having a bisexual panic about this new buff guy living on the same plane as him

("I have been locked in a closet thanks to you two geniuses" @ Ward and Simmons is def an admission of bisexuality from Fitz /j)

but then eventually it evolves into something much deeper with them bonding much more like family and best friends

Admittedly I do also think Fitz felt the same about Skye at first, dude was just overwhelmed by all these attractive new people but then eventually it becomes something much more meaningful

I think their (Fitz and Ward) dynamic is so cute and makes me so sad for both of them especially with Fitz being the one to cling to hope that Ward wasn't evil, and I wish we could've gotten some closure between those two, like having real Fitz get to experience Framework Ward or having some sort of real moment between them before Ward died

I like to think that even when on opposing sides, Grant wanted members of the team, specifically Simmons, Fitz and Skye, to be the best versions of themselves, hence why he has that smug little smirk on his face when Simmons says "come a little closer and find out" to Malick when questioned (he was so proud of her)

I do wish we got to see more of the two of them <333

it would've been such a good opportunity for grant redemption for them to circle back around to coulson's s1 line about how you CAN save someone from themself if you get to them early enough

and on that note while yes obvs coulson hates grant we know this, do you think there was ever a moment where coulson perhaps felt guilty? or wondered if grant being their enemy was something he could've prevented had he discovered garrett sooner? does he ever feel like he failed grant by not, in his words, getting to him early enough to save him from himself (and from garrett)

this feels important to share for the people who swear down that it's set in stone canon and confirmed that grant killed buddy

(i personally think the long-range scope we see aiming at buddy was garrett's, since if you rewatch the scene the scope is pointing at him from a different angle than grant was facing, and grant doesn't even have that type of gun on him, and that this was grant's punishment from garrett for being "soft", which is why garrett then teases grant in one of the episodes for being iirc he calls him a "soft-touch")

(EDIT: i also believe garrett using the same line "that's not a weakness, is it?" was a warning to Grant when he was asked to kill Fitzsimmons, reminding him of Buddy, kind of as a threat of "If you won't do it, I will")

something about the way garrett looks grant up and down while he calls himself a sweet talker and then talks about how he could essentially talk grant into anything

just makes me so uncomfortable

i know the intention was because they were traitors but something about it feels almost like

kind of sexually predatory ?

i am just kind of projecting because of my own history, not trying to say there was any "hidden meaning" or implications or anything in that scene

just a personal thought

makes me wonder if anybody else with similar experiences has ever interpreted the scene that way or gotten that vibe
