These airbenders shouldn’t be used as weapons! They have a right to choose their own paths.

{PARTY NIGHT /KORRA-NAGA~Closed RP}
Mako checked the miror one last time, to make sure he was satisfied with how he looked, before he was ready to leave the room. He was wearing casual short pants and boots under a pale, white shirt with buttons on the front with a waist length dark gray jacket, wich he didn’t even bother to button and -of course- his red scarf. Was it alright ? He wasn’t overdoing it was he ? They were afterall, going to a party …
"Well it’ll have to do i guess."
With that he turned around and calmly walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him. Even if it wasn’t all that ‘propper’, it would do for the night. Slowly making his way towards Korra’s room, he couldn’t help but think this was going to be the first time they got to do anything apart from daily meeting in a long while. Sure they’d have lunch together and occasionally they’d go shopping for food but this was special, even if it was a party Mako would make the most of it, since he didn’t know when they’d get to do anything like it again. Consumed by thought, , he walked through corridors and it was only when he almost hit his head in Korra’s door that his mind cleared again. Tugging at his shirt collar with one hand, he knocked and started waiting.
The whirring of the sewing machine slowly eased to a stop. It had been going so long the silence of the room felt strange. Her foot ached from pushing the pedal but the item she had been sewing dulled the pain with a feeling of job well done. She allowed herself a stretch before pulling the garment off the sewing machine, flipped it inside out and looked at the completed work. It wasn’t easy sewing with this material, which was probably what took nearly two weeks to work on. Joy filled the seamstress and she rubbed the silky smooth shirt against her face. It was a beautiful shirt, with embroidered material along the front and sleeves. A pain in the butt to sew in but sew in she did.
"It’s so beautiful, I can’t believe I did it." She admired, then sighed, drooping in the chair. “Too bad it’s not an order for anyone. I’d get a pretty yuon." She muttered, but still she couldn’t take her eyes off of it. Walking across the small shop floor, she pulled it over the wire dress-form mannequin set up in the corner of the room. Maybe someone would see it and decide to buy it?
The question was, who? It’d been a few days since any new customers entered the store, and even longer since any regulars came by. She credited that to the location of her store, smashed between two larger buildings, but just as old, who would look at this dinky place.
"Maybe if I painted a colorful sign…?" Tula thought as she poured hot water from the kettle for tea. “I don’t have any paint but..I could sew letters out of fabric onto a banner of fabric…But then who would see it?"
The questions were a constant internal struggle as the seamstress walked back to the working area of her shop. Bolts of fabric were lined against the walls and propped against any available space. Bits of unfinished patterns or fabric were scattered on the chairs, in fact it was nearly impossible to see where chairs were.
"…I guess I could clean now that I have free time…again." She sighed, leaning down to pick up a few bolts of green colored fabric to organize them on the shelves.
"When did this even happen." The firebender thought to himself, looking at the torn sleeve of his favorite jacket. It was such an inconvneience when this kind of thing happened … seing as he couldn’t sew aything properly to save his life … He was now officially in need of a tailor, though finding one was proving impossible.
He had, of course, tried his usual tailer, who said he was moving places and therefore wouldn’t accept any jobs until he was done, wich left Mako in a rather tiht spot. He refused to leave that jacket… He’d feel incomplete without it … kind of like his scarf … but not exactly. Either wasy, it was an important peice of clothing for him and the firebender wasn’t giving up on it.
At least, there was a good side to things. His tailer had told him about a seamstress who worked across town.. It was far away but it’d be worth the work… She was supposedly a good tailor… Mako would e the judge of that…
There was only one problem… Where was she ? Mako had walked all around the area his tailor had told him about, scanning each and every shop window with no luck whatsoever. “Where could it be …" It was at that second that a small, old building stuck between two larger ones caught his attention. He hadn’t seen that one before … Slowly changing course and walking towards it. Instant relief washed over the firebender when he came close enough to see that the building, was infact, the one he was looking for. Letting out a sigh of relief, he walked towards it andslowly opened the door, walking in.

"M-mako...." Bolin whispers from where he is huddled on the couch with tears in his eyes, " I..I thought I saw Dad today...." he squeezes his eyes tight and takes a shaky breath, "I saw t-this- this man, and he looked just like him....I mean, I can't barely remember them anymore, Mako, but- " he shook his head ruffly and swallowed, "I thought it was him. I r-ran up to the guy, and nearly hugged him..." Bolin's breath hitched, "I...he...I just...I don't know what's wrong with me..."
Mako took a deep breath before walking towards the couch, where his brother Bolin had huddled himself, taking a seat next to him and genlt taking hold of the others arm, he started talking in a calm, steady voice.
"Bo ...We've talked about this before ... There's nothing wrong with you, you're just ... missing them alright ? I'm missing them too Bo but that doesn't chnge the fact that ..." Mako paused, not wanting to finishthe sentence and so, finding himself another, more genty way of reasoning with his little brother.
"Bolin look i know it's been harder on you ... I know how much you loved them but you were so small ... I'm actually surprised you have any memories of them at all ... but there's nothing we can do about it now. What do you think mom and dd would have had us do ? Do you think they'd want you to throw yourself at the couch crying over someone you thought that looked like dad ? Dad would have told us to go forwards ... ad that's what we're going to do, okay ?"
